Ryze #2

Blood Stained Tranquility

Rate this book
The second book in the Ryze series, coming 2017!

Evesse

Five weeks ago, my best friend was abducted. A sacrifice for the God of Lust.
It wasn’t the beginning of her end . . . it turned out to be the beginning of mine.
I’ve been brought back from the dead.
Only to be condemned to die once more.
I’ve awakened to find myself mated to Zeniel, the God of Tranquility. But, no. That isn’t who he is anymore.
I’m so vile that simply meeting me tore out the most primal, dark force inside him.
He’s a demon.
A mythical monster.
An indiscriminate killer.
He’s made to destroy the entire fucking world . . . and I’d give anything to have him.

Zeniel

Within the red and black shadows of doom, all I see are my victims. The sinners I need to destroy.
And her.
Always her.
I want to despise her for what her past did to me. A single look into her eyes and the creature trapped inside me broke free.
You see, I’m a fucking sham. A pretender. I wasn’t born as Zeniel, God of Tranquility.
I was born as Mavrak, the war demon God of Vengeance.
He killed millions across the dimensions once.
To avenge and protect her, he’ll destroy millions once again.
For her, I’ll let my powers of Tranquility die in a maelstrom of blood . . .
Even if it means killing everyone else that I love.

As we learned in the previous book, Blood Flows Deep, Zeniel the god of Tranquility has kept his darker side, Mavrak the god of Vengeance, under wraps for about 14,000 years. But one look at Evesse has Mavrak beating down the doors of Zen’s mind, wanting - no needing to come out and Zen is determined to not let him loose. If the past is anything to go by, once Mavrak gets out, only death and destruction awaits them. So what does he do? He runs away. While staying gone he’s still helping his brethren, but he just needs to isolate himself to get better control of his other half. Good luck with that buddy.

Meanwhile, after Evesse and Ismini were rescued from the vortex, they were given goddess powers by Nylicia. While Ismini took to them like a champ (gotta love that girl), Evesse has been in a coma. That has more to do with what her past holds and lets us know that her coma is a mental thing, not physical. And although she’s at rest, her mind and body are still very much aware and the bond continues to grow between her and Zen.The gist is that Zen needs to accept his other half, Mavrak, and Evesse is just the one to help him.

What/who I loved:
☆ Zen - this man was tortured for 500 years in order to suppress his vengeance. He came out as tranquility and lived a life based on peace. He meets the love of his life, his mate, and his two sides collide in a storm of epic proportions. He is fiercely loyal, hot, sexy, protective, strong, and incredibly loving.

☆ Eve - this young girl always dreamed of being a superhero. I guess her wish came true. Her backstory was tragic but I think it made her stronger in the end. This survivor grabbed life by the balls and didn’t let fear rule her. Loyal, protective, compassionate, flawed, and amazingly loving, Eve is a character who is easy to get behind.

☆ Dimi - man I can’t wait for her story (there better be one!). This woman ruled a kingdom, was somehow forced to commit evil, died, was resurrected, and she’s a freaking warrior. Loved this chick!!

☆ It pains me to admit this, but Nylicia cracked me the heck up. Every time she appeared, I knew some bad ish was about to happen. I have a strong feeling that she’s the female that Zex lost (hoping I’m right) and I need to know how this will work out. I also like that she has an agenda, but as the Goddess of Destiny, she leaves us completely in the dark, just like the characters. It adds so much more suspense to the tale.

☆ Everyone else, including Dyletri, Ismini, Cyake, Crius, Ian, Spari, Ved, Zex, etc. I am so freaking excited for each of their stories!!

☆ Obviously the plot made up for a lot of my love. The author took mythology, religion and good old fashioned imagination to create a fantastical world of wonder. A world that I wish really existed. I want a god to find me as a mate too!! It goes without saying that I don’t wish the war part on our world, but everything else would be fine with me ;)

The entire cast of characters were back, along with some pretty hot new faces. I found more people to fall in love with and I can’t wait to read their stories. Fingers crossed that Crius and Dimithinia are next!! This story had tons of action, heaps of sensually hot sex scenes, oodles of humor, and lots of love. I couldn’t have loved Zen and Eve more. These two were absolutely made for each other. Again, if you’re a fan of paranormal romance, you DO NOT want to pass this series up!!

REVIEW COPY

This was the second instalment in N. Isabelle Blanco's "Ryze" series and it certainly didn't disappoint.
Starting immediately where we previously left off "Blood Stained Tranquility (Ryze, #2)" is everything its predecessor was and more.
This slightly has the edge for me in terms of content; there wasn't really much I didn't like here, and if book one was a good read; this was a fabulous one.
Here we have Evesse from book one and Zeniel; her new mate; who also happens to be the God of Tranquility along with something a little extra; almost like a two for one-er.
Zeniel is battling his dual personality here and you really get such a feel for the agony he is currently enveloped in.
This was such an emotional read; so much more so than the first book in this series.
Don't get me wrong; that had plenty of emotion too; this just takes it to a whole new level of meaning; I was transfixed throughout.
As usual, the action here was off the hook, both in and out the bedroom.
And yes, I'm speaking metaphorically here; the gods between these pages didn't actually care where they fornicated and their antics were smoking hot with it.
This is again told from multiple POV's and adds; if it's even possible; more new characters to an already overflowing cast.
You would think this would be an issue; keeping straight all the multiple pathways and individuals; it's not.
This was actually really easy to follow along with despite the huge cast.
Quite the story-weaver was our author.
There is so much potential for story growth here that I'm mega excited to see where this goes.
This was a really fantastic imaginative read and I'm so looking forward to the next in the series.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with a review copy of "Blood Stained Tranquility (Ryze, #2)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

5 Vengeance and Justice Stars

"For out of Mavrak’s torment, an opposing being would be born. The Universe lives on Ying and Yang, you see? And where there is darkness, there is also the potential for light. Mavrak had to be broken in every way for Zeniel, the God of Tranquility,to emerge."

Second book in this series and we get Zen/Mavrak and Evesse story. This was a bumpy road for this two. but oh boy did I enjoy the ride?!Fuck yeah.

Zeniel/Mavrak- tormented , powerful, passionate, possessive, loving and gentle. God of Vengeance/Tranquility

Evesse- badass h, powerful, possessive Goddess of Justice

Oh man! Is it possible more characters to be introduced? yep!! definitely!
More villains ? yes!!
Can Nylicia be more frustrating ?? You have no idea! I hate and love her all the same to be honest ,she is exasperating and entertaining with her riddles.
But could I stop reading? not even a second!
I have so many questions!! Is Nylica to Existence who I suspect she is? Is Dimi gonna be with Crius? Is Cy gonna end up with Spari ?Who have the twins met?! I suppose I ll have to keep on reading and find out. This is fucking awesome with all this complexity and characters and new situations thrown in.

"Most beings have forgotten hat there is more to life that momentary happiness. They have forgotten that in order for a sword to be forged, it must be hammered into perfection. That's where I come in, to reminded them. And trust me; by the time I'm done with them, they will wish they had stuck with the hammer."

Nylicia, the Watcher of Destinies.

I fucking love Nylicia, popcorns and all. Lol.

Ahhh... there's a lot of things I want to say... you have no idea how much I missed this gang. So to be reunited with them again was beyond epic! This books was a fucked up ride. I cried. I smiled so big my cheeks hurt. I gasped like a fucking fish out of water. I fell in love all over again, and not only with the old gang but with the new characters as well. Spariiiiiiiii ♥.

And even tho I enjoyed-loved Zen & Eve's journey, I was thrilled to read not only their story but more of the other characters!

I couldn't put it down. This series is addictive. Just as addictive as Dy is to Ismini. So that's something.

I could go on and on but I need to stop here and go back to reread some of my favorite quotes. I will come back later to write a better review.

Made it to fifty percent. Could not go any further. I wanted to like this book. I struggled with the first book due to the lack of emotions between the characters as well as the complex pronunciation of the characters' name. However, I chose to continue the series as I found the world the author created intriguing and wanted to learn more.

Unfortunately, I could not get into Evesse and Zeniel's story. I held hoping it would get better, but I gave up at the fifty percent mark. The story bored me. I waited patiently for exciting events to occur. but eventually I ran out of patience.

"For her, I'll let my powers of Tranquility die in maelstrom of blood."

I loveeee Zeniel. He's like a mix of good and bad boy, he's a tranquility mix with revenge, so I got the best of both world. He's pretty frustrating most of the time. I want to slap and kiss him at the same time.
And Evesse...I adore this stubborn fighter girl. She's not a weak girl. And totally a perfect match for Zeniel. Zeniel got his hands full with this feisty girl.
This couple is frustrating but definitely one of my fav couples.
As for other characters, I loveee them all and I want each book for all of them. I loveee the banters between the characers, they're superb, they got me laugh and put a big smile on my face.

As for the story. It's a long story but it's worth reading. There's a lot happening here, there's bigger scenario happening in this series (you need to read first book before reading this one) and so many twists and surprises (thanx to Nylicia).
This book is full of excitement, I'm excited to know what will happen in every chapter, what secret come to light, what twist will be thrown.
I got friendship, loyalty and love and of course there's hotness and actions. So yeah I love everything about this book.

If Paranormal Romance is your cup of tea or even if it's not, this series is a must.

I knew that those series will be good, but I didn't know that they will be freaking awesome. With every book that comes out, I am loving the series more and more.

I loved Evesse and Zeniel book. From the glimpses that we had in Lust, I knew that it will be great. Those two...they are perfect with each other. They walked a long way to come together and both of them deserved 100% happiness.

In here we learn about Evesse past and what she went through. It was a lot, but she is a fighter and a 100% the perfect mate for Zeniel. Him on the other hand, he was challenging. With Mavrak inside him, it was difficult for him keep him at bay. But like in most books everything was alright in the end...well at least with those two...for others I can't be that certain.

What I love about those series is that during the story we get to see all the other characters and future couples. To be honest I am quite excited with the upcoming series, or should I say with...Ianthem, Cyake, Dementia, Crius. All of their love stories will be as epic as Evesee and Zen. I just can't wait to get my hands on them
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.

Where the hell has N. Isabelle Blanco been my whole life??? I'm mean really!!! I thought I knew all the greats but I guess I was wrong....so so very wrong.
This book was so well thought out....its complex and intense....infused with dark humor, angst and lots of action. The world Ms Blanco has built is everything I want in a paranormal romance.
Eve and Zen's journey was a roller coaster ride. I laughed. I cried. I couldn't catch my breath at times. Throw Mavrak into the mix along with all the gods and goddesses and at times I thought my brain would go into overload. I haven't felt like that reading a paranormal in a loooong time. You know that feeling....when you have to flip back to parts you just read to make sure that really happened. I love it when an author does that. Makes me FEEL the words.
Do yourself a favor read this book (and series). You won't be disappointed.

' I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publishers through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review '

When Evesse's best friend was killed she followed her They were both brought back as something more than human. Not only has Eve's whole life changed she is also mated to Zeniel ( The God of Tranquility ). She thinks that he does not want the mating so she finds a way to make it manageable.

Zeniel want's Eve, but he is at war with himself. Before he was Zeniel ( The God of Tranquility ) He was Mavrak ( The God of Vengeance ). Mavrak is still there and Zeniel is afraid to let him out. Afraid that he will end up punishing the other Gods , his friends, for their sins. When Eve won't wake up Zeniel can't help it, he has to punish the one that hurt her before.

Will Zeniel be able to work through his issues with his two selves to be able to be the God and Mate that Eve needs? Will Eve be able to make Zeniel see the light and accept himself for what he is?

My Opinion: I LOVED this book. When I was finished with book 1 I couldn't wait for this book. I was eager to read Eve and Zeniel's story. I love each and every character in this series. They all have their own quirks and sense of humor. N. Isabelle Blanco puts a unique spin to the Gods, Picking certain human women that are all connected somehow and turning them into Goddesses and making all of the already existing Gods and Goddesses have inner issues to work on that really seems to be the hardest to deal with when they find their mate. Once again I am eager for the next book. I don't think I could ever get tired of this series. The author has a great writing style and brings so much life and humor to her characters. It also helps that she makes all of her humans turned Goddesses so Kick Ass! I definitely recommend reading. The book could be read as a stand alone but some parts may be a bit confusing if you do not read book book 1 first.

Holy Gods and Goddesses batman!!!!

I'm gonna be honest and tell you I can't even begin to explain what this book is about because a lot of it goes over my head but what is so amazing about this it is the level of imagination that's gone into writing it. All the explanations of all the god and goddesses where they came from ..the different dimensions and realms is mind blowing and so damn interesting and entertaining...So much action and sexiness that you get sucked in!! I absolutely love this series I can't wait to read more. My only criticism is that it's a little to long for me..even though I loved it I felt like it took me forever to finish it.

Four Stars

“No individual being is meant to exist and be split in two.”

Wow! This book was very good!! I didn’t know what to expect from Zeniel and Eve, but they did not disappoint at all. I really loved both of their characters and felt that they were such a good couple and had a good relationship throughout the entire novel.

Evesse was such a girl boss character I loved her. She deserved the world and I’m so happy she was slowly able to piece herself back together and experience a life she could love.I really liked how Eve was not a stereotypical push over soft character and instead stood up for herself and the people she truly cared for.

Zeniel was such an intense character and I absolutely loved the changes he went through throughout the series. He had to really find himself in the book and become one with Mavrak, his other side, which he did.

I loved the dynamic between these two just because since the first book the tension between these two was just SO good! I really loved how well they contrasted each other and well and with their new abilities so it was all around just so amazing to read a love story between these two. I could go on forever about how much I loved Eve and Zen honestly.

The plot of the book was SO interesting, and I literally couldn’t put the book down. It was so action packed but also the coupley scenes never disappointed. The author did such an amazing job at giving each character (and there were a lot) their own personalities that were so well suited for each of them.

While sometimes it was a little confusing on what was happening or I’d have to go back to the glossary and check what something meant it never made me uninterested but instead made me more eager to finish the book and find out what’s really going on.

Overall, Vengeance was an amazing part of the Ryze series that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat just wanting to explore the world of these characters more.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO GREYS PROMOTION AND N. ISABELLE BLANCO FOR AN EARC COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW!

Once again I was drawn into a fantastical world that brings to life so many mythological beings and makes my nerdy little heart sing. I've been foaming at the mouth for this book since reading the first one. Evesse and Zeniel had me beyond curious in the first book, I was excited to see how one could be as Zen was. I will admit the first 25%-30% of the book didn't flow as well as the first or the rest of this book. It took me awhile to get past it, though learning more on Nylicia and Zexistr was interesting. Most was due to me really excited to read more of Eve and Zen. Once that bit passed though the book flowed smoothly. I couldn't put it down. At this point I can't really say who is controlling the destinies but I will say they have a crap ton in store for Eve and Zen. Evesse goes through her change into a goddess and is able to control Mavrak, the other side to Zen. Zen's biggest challenge in this book is merging his two halves, he doesn't want to relive what he's done when he was Mavrak, but that soon was taken out of his hands. Eve and Zen fit well together and not just their powers, they both went through some traumatic events in their lives and both heal each other a little at a time. I can't see a better god for her. The sex is hot, the love is stunning, the friendships are entertaining, and the tragedies are heartbreaking. All wrapped up together they leave you with an emotional high that I'm sure will last for days! The world that is being created is one that is complex and captivating, every chapter leaves you wanting more. There is so much to look forward to in this series that it hurts to wait for the next one. I'm eager to find out what happens next! War is on the horizon, be prepared.
Grab this series and be ready to be swept away into a world where not every thing is black and white, and love can heal, and gods and goddesses roam the universe.

Blood Stained Tranquility by N. Isabelle Blanco is the second book in the Ryze series. This is Evesse and Zeniel's story.

I will say with having such a hard time with the first book, I was very hesitant to start reading Blood Stained. But I'm glad I stuck through, because I enjoyed it. I liked it a lot better, and felt a deep connection between Evesse and Zeniel.

N. Isabelle Blanco depicts a world full of Gods, Goddesses, and most of all Prophesies. Lot's of action, and adventure. The love story within was very beautiful to read.

The one thing I will mention is that there is ALOT GOING ON in the story itself. But other than that, it was a good read.

Vengeance is another amazing novel in the Ryze Series by N. Isabelle Blanco!!

We met both Zeniel and Evesse in the First Novel, Lust. We learned in Novel #1 that Zeniel, God of Tranquility, has kept a dark side of him Mavrak hidden deep within for over a decade. When Evesse walks into his life he struggles to grasp the darkness within. Mavrak is nothing but death and destruction, he will take out everything in his wake. Evesse has lived a terrible life. When her best friend was abducted by the God of Lust what more could she do than enter this new life.

The story is intriguing and keeps the reader entertained. It flows perfectly from Novel #1, Lust. The world that has been built around the characters by the author is fantastic! Definitely a series to read!

Duality, passion, complementarity, trust ... allies too earthshaking sex scenes!

In the first volume, I fell under the spell of Evesse and Zeniel. The conflict that existed within the god of Tranquility and the sharp tongue of the young woman who had put some spice into the story and sharpened my curiosity.
So, I was excited to discover the sparks that explode with this great couple.

The author did not disappoint me! The narrative is volatile, tender, sensual, sexual, and always in motion.
The same ingredients that had attracted me in the first volume, between Ismini and Dyletri, were intelligently reused and have captured my interest and make me turn the pages.
Sure, it's obvious that Eve and Zen are made for each other. But they go through trials that lead them to accept themselves without judging, support and assist each others in the battle.
Although, Zen inadvertently hurts Eve, it is often the case in real life when a woman meets an ex of her boyfriend: jealousy, insecurity... It was well pictured by the author.

I love as the author mixes reality with fiction with these characters. The thirst for revenge, guilt, fear of disappointing, jealousy, betrayal, forgiveness ...Great topics!

All these gods are flawed with weaknesses and doubts despite their extraordinary powers. And even if we dwell on the two heroes, the secondary characters attract attention and pique the reader's curiosity. Nylicia is intriguing. I wanted to help Dimithinia biting the hell out of Crius and Cyake, he made me smile a lot...
Ok, the fact that these gods have cute badass and possess some incredible sexual prower play a lot in their favors! Lol

I also had a big crush on Mavrak. I found him more tender, endearing and sensitive than Zen despite his habit of wanting to beat out the crap of everyone!

My main complaint in "Blood Flows Deep in the Empire', the first installment of the series concerned all the strange worlds references, the gods names and the many details that had brought some confusion and slowed down my reading.
In this one, it was not the case at all. I was very quickly immersed in Niddy Isabelle Blanco's world and univers. References and strange names have less bothered me since I expected them.

I continue to be impressed by the author's imagination that mixes mythology, science fiction, scenes of intense sex with beautiful fighting and super sexy humor.
I can not wait to see how Ianthen will overcome his perilous relationship with Soleria ...

Terrible Gods, cosmic forces and relentless, consuming passion align in this second book in a series that devours the reader's mind.

The writing is as complex and rich as the relationships between the Gods and the universal energies at play. Sometimes is a bit convoluted, tending to be obscure or obsessive about the same predicament. On the other hand, it reflects really well the characters' inner struggle, the power of their suffering, and the stormy inevitability of their desires.

The main female character, Evesse, has to deal with the monstrous aftermath of the traumatizing final event in the previous book, where she was the friend of the main character there. Even though she and her mated, frenzied dual God of Tranquility aka the God of Vengeance lead the story, there are other characters whose torment and lovers in the making are equally strong and appealing.

Animalistic, violent lust rages through the pages. And it's awesome! :-D Though there is a lot going on among the gods. They banter, they reminisce past wrongs and future fears, they flaunt their dark beauty. Brutal in their natures, they battle their vicious side with ferocious displays of power. On the down side, the plot doesn't seem to have a specific purpose most of the time. It's just a bunch of things happening to a bunch of old and new friends who happen to be Gods. On the bright side, it's wildly imaginative as complex immortals fight, evolve, materialize, love, hate and suffer in a haze of fate and lust. I particularly liked how Eve and Zen have to deal with the most frightening side of themselves in order to be together. Their fierce lovemaking was epic in all ways :-D

Exotic Gods, painfully tested mating bonds, monstrous beasts, apocalyptic war and slyly orchestrated plans by a seeress mingle breathlessly in this paranormal dark romance. It's a pity the ending comes so abruptly, but there's always hope for the third book.

This is the second part of the Ryze series and it gets even better than the first, I didn't think that was possible. The author did a phenomenal job of making this storyline come to life. There is so much information and yet she still made it all blend together without losing the story. All of the characters from before are there again and I found myself falling a little more in love or attached to every single one of them.

While this is a continuation of the first story from where it left off, it primarily focuses on Evesse and Zeniel, but all of the characters play a part in the story because united they all influence the outcome of what will happen. Zeniel, is the God of Tranquility that is in battle with his other half Mavrak, the God of Vengeance. Evesse, also known as Eve, is one kick-butt female. Even when she becomes the balance to Zeniel by becoming his voice of reason as the Goddess of Justice, she does it with compassion and genuine love. Whereas Zeniel wants to hide that half of him that he considers evil, Eve wants him to embrace it. She loves the bad boy as much as the tenderhearted man she first meets. They have hands down some of the steamiest scenes that I have ever read in a book. All I can say is that Eve is one lucky girl because she gets the Alpha man and the gentle soul all the time. She basically gets to have her cake and eat it too.

So many questions were answered from the first book but for every one that was answered another two would sprout up. All I can say is this authors imagination is one of a kind. She takes it, along with her world building to a whole new level.

I cannot wait to see the next chapter of the story. I especially want to read more about Nylicia (and to see if my thoughts on Zexistr is right) and Solera and Ianthen. There is a lot of characters left. I cannot wait to see them hopefully all get there interconnected stories.

There always seems to be someone in the background remaking or reshaping your life. Its called the fates, they call it your destiny.
Can you even imagine.
When I first read this story I had thought it was crazy busy, it still is but in a different kind of way. Everyone has a part a job to do.
When you have good you have evil, its called balance. Zen is the balance, but he doesn't see it that way and really not too many other people do either. Two sides of one whole.
When a human female comes into play Zen has a whole new set of issues to deal with, one being his other side awake and wanting to come out and play.
of course Zen is the woe's is me I cant have her, and not only makes himself miserable but most of anyone else around him. But see that's where fate comes in, oh yeah and friends.. and a female that just may be able to handle the balance that threatens to shatter within Zen.

I so loved this book, the details the strong women and gods/goddesss and a mix of magic and wonder. I've literally became a stalker mostly in my waiting for the next book to come out.

The story is hot and yummy with a mix of everything the draws you in and keeps you to the end.
I recommend it. Enjoy

I received a copy of this book from Net Galley for an honest review

It makes me sad to say this but I was very disappointed by this book. I really loved the cover. It had that BDB feel to it that I love. Which was the sole reason I wanted to read it. Let me first start by saying the things I liked about the book. The writing was good. It was very easy to follow along and the flow and pace were good. I felt like the author did a great job describing the scenes and characters.

What I didn’t like. I honestly feel like this book was reading another version of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s The Dark Hunters mixed with J. R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. The characters were just so similar. Even their names were similar.

I also think that 3 chapters in a row of nothing but sex was a bit to much. It got to the point of, come on already, what else could they be doing…

I really did want to like this book more but I just couldn’t get past the strong similarities to these other series.

This being said…if you have never read SK or The Warden, then you will probably love this book.

Although I had never read the first book in this series, I wanted to give it a try because of how interesting it sounded. Granted at first I was so lost it was ridiculous, but after awhile I felt I knew enough to be caught up. From then on I must say it was an adventure on so many different levels. The Gods and Goddesses are so real, it was like I could see them, however there were a LOT of characters in the book and at times it does get tiring. Zeniel and Evesse have such a chemistry and the passion they exude for each other ....I just gotta say yummy!!! The way the author describes Zen just made me drool most of the time.. Why can't my hubby look like that I ask you lol!! Just kidding!!! But seriously I loved this book and the way the author wrote it is just incredible. Once I got going I had a hard time putting it down and my family had a hard time getting my attention out of my Kindle lol. Totally worth it!!! I did receive this book from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion.

Book 2 in the szolite series, it's a sexy read.

I have to admit I found the to be too many characters in this book, I get round that by concentrating on the main characthers and taking in as much of the extras as possible. I wonder sometimes if I didn't have kids distracting me I'd be able to absorb all the characthers....I don't know.

That's my neutral point out the way. Wow does this lady weave a story or what....so much going on, sexy zen and his Eve his match or R'ma as there called. When you put them together you get a passion explosion, long extended sex scenes with lush descriptions of Zens body.

It's not all sex though, it's about the development of there relationship, Eves background and Zens split personality and lots more.

We also get more of book ones couple ismini and Dyletri, who are still at it like rabbits.

A good read, you may need a change of underwear though.....;)

Again the is a steamy, erotic read. I feel again that this 2nd book although fared better than the 1st, it's not for me.

Don't let me put you off as your opinion may very well differ

I could not put my complimentary copy of Vengeance Ryze #2 by N. Isabelle Blanco down. The second book of the Ryze series picks up right after the epic climax of Lust, and let me tell you…it does not disappoint!

Back from the dead and a God now herself, Evesse awakens mated to Zeniel, with powers stronger than she could ever imagine. She quickly realizes that she will give anything to have the man whose dark demon would destroy the world for her.
------------------------------------------------
Battling to keep Mavrak from taking over is becoming more difficult for Zeniel. He knows that he must stop Mavrak from breaking out of the prison within his mind, because if he doesn’t…millions will die. Mavrak hasn’t taken over yet, but all he wants is Evesse…he wants her just as much as Zeniel, and he is fighting to claim what’s his.

“I want you to call me Zeniel. It’s the part of me I want for you.”

Evesse knew that she was made for Zeniel the moment she laid eyes on him. She can’t deny her connection to the God of Tranquility, but Mavrak…the God of Vengeance calls to her too. Zenial desperately tries to suppress him, but Mavrak is fighting for Evesse, and he is much more than meets the eye…much more indeed. Even though she should be, Evesse isn’t afraid.

“You are Zenial to me. But you are also Mavrak. And I want you both.” “I want you whole.”

Invested from the first page, I was so excited to see Evesse and Zenial’s story evolve from their first meeting in Lust Ryze #1. The chemistry and heat are off the charts, we knew it was there from Lust, but their connection is electrifying. The deep emotional tether between Evesse, Zeniel and Mavrak melted my heart and had me rooting for both the God of Tranquility and the God of Vengeance. Vengeance is packed with dynamic characters, action, suspense, spice and pure emotion. The absolutely heartbreaking, yet lovely way Isabelle weaves the complicated Zenial/Mavrak dynamic makes this book so absolutely enthralling. Isabelle made me feel so deeply for these characters. Your heart almost aches from the turmoil within Zenial and the pain within Mavrak, the two tortured Gods who are ultimately one. You wonder what they could be if they weren’t fighting one another...you wonder if Evesse, the fearsome female, could be the key to it all.

Vengeance is erotic, beautiful, emotional and intense! N. Isabelle Blanco’s books have quickly become an absolute favorite of mine and I cannot wait to continue the series! She puts a fresh spin on paranormal dark romance that is filled with action, suspense, love, spice (I MEAN SPICE), and loveable and engaging characters!

Vengeance is a 5-star read for me; I can’t wait to see what’s next!

**I received a complimentary copy of this novel. This is my full and honest review.**

***As always with Dark Romance, please make sure to check ALL TRIGGER WARNINGS before deciding to read this book!!***

She became a killer . . . then, she fell in love with the most dangerous one of them all . . .

Wow… just WOW!! I didn’t think I would love any other couple’s book more than I love Dyletri’s and Ismini’s, but I was so WRONG!!! There’s no arguing my new favorite couple are Evesse and Zeniel/Mavrak! From book 1, I could just tell their story was going to be phenomenal, and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!! Holy Moly, I just couldn’t get enough of them. The tension, the SPICE, or Dear God THE SPICE, the banter between them… I finished the book and I just wanted SO MUCH MORE!!! The constant battle that Zeniel was fighting within himself and the emotions he struggled so hard to contain, all to be paired with a woman as amazing as Evesse, who let him know from the beginning that she loved him, EVERY PART OF HIM!! Their denial of each other, even as their bodies craved to be together. Evesse would constantly be at war with her strong emotions for Zenitel, all the while knowing that at the end of the day, she could never part from him no matter how much she tried. Throughout the book, we see the trials and tribulations of their relationship, and how they fight to keep a strong foundation between them. They were made to compliment each other, and the author did such a fantastic job at portraying that throughout the book. She shows her readers how there is pain and heartache in loving someone that deeply, but also this amazing connection of mind, body and soul, and I believe very few authors can do that.

I loved how we slowly learn about not only about Evesse and Zeniel’s past, but also about other vital characters in the story, hinting at which characters will definitely be getting a book. Like Dimithinia’s story!?!?!?!?!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!! I am SO FREAKING EXCITED to read how her story turns out, what happened in her past that’s made her the way she is. N. Isabelle Blanco just has a way with her stories and her world building that just captivates you from the get go. I have yet to read a book of hers that I have not enjoyed. She could publish her damn grocery list and i would read it with a smile on my face!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I am BEYOND EXCITED for what is to come for this series!!!!! 5 STARS!!!
