5 amazing stars

There's just something about college themed novels that makes me giddy - i personally haven't gone to college, doing the long distance/at home experience instead, and these books make me feel like as though i'm right there with all the characters. Sarah Fischer's Third Wheel was no exception. Although not the first book i've had a chance to read from her, it's probably one of my favorites so far.

4 breath taking dreams

Christie is just the perfect balance of snark, sarcasm, humor and indecisiveness while knowing what she doesn't want that you can't help but connect with her while Shane was the unexpected romantic with the mix of goofiness and traditional that you want to root for these two's relationship to work out, no matter what their parents expect from them. It's the type of book that draws you in and makes you relive your own experiences in high school as a senior or in college/university since it just feels more real than you could have ever imagined. After having had read Third Wheel, one thing is for sure, i can't wait for Sarah Fischer's next release - i'm certain it'll be something unforgettable!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I loved it so much I’m starting this series from the beginning. Third Wheel is the third book in the Elton Hall Chronicles but can be read as a standalone.
Christie seems to have her life all mapped out. Everything is in it’s place but is it truly what she wants? This is Christie and Shane’s story and one I really enjoyed.

Omg you guys. Fischer has done it again. She's pulled her readers back onto the college campus and into the arms of a hot guy all while dealing with real world problems.
Christie is a good girl who's always listened to the ruled and has a mouth she can't control. Then there's Shane, who's more than just hilarious wit and a hot bod. He pulls Christie out of her shell and helps her on her path to finding herself and who she was meant to be.
Now, here's where the real world come into play. Shane is Korean, but he's not a sidekick, the math geek, or the stereotypical comic relief. He's the hero of the story and I think that diversity is important in romance novels because not every romance novel needs just a couple of "white people hugging" on the front. Shane is funny, sexy, mysterious, and I wish more men were like him.
Honestly, as an author, I'm jealous I didn't write this amazing book, but I'm sure glad I got to read it.

This book captured me from the Begining but first you need to know it's the 3rd in the series called Elton hall chronicles! It's a complete stand alone and this time this story is all about Christie!! I have followed this author from the first book and I was so intrigued I had to read the 2nd and now the 3rd! Christie makes a living it up list and adds stuff and that's when she bumps Into bad boy Shane! I think her and Shane had crazy chemistry right off the back!!! Christie was basically in a arranged marriage w her boyfriend rob but when she thinks about she don't want that marriage life anymore she wants to be a normal college student!! This book was a lot different than the first 2 still drama packed with Annabelle and alittle bit of violet! Some twists and turns!!! Amazing job!

I've read the whole series and this was by far my favorite. It can be read as a standalone though. Christie is tired of her perfect life and too scared to get married at 19, not that I blame her. So she calls time out with her boyfriend and meets Shane. He's cool, calm, collected, and he drives a racecar illegally on the weekends. Plus, he is Korean. I really liked how Fischer tied together Christie's white southern family with Shane's. You wouldn't think they had anything in common but they were totally mirror images. Anyway, Christie and Shane are hot together. They banter, they fight, they have sex. But I was worried they'd be a bit too explosive together. I don't want to ruin anything but this is definitely a fun book with some turns I never saw coming. Check it out!

This author is new to me. I'm completely hooked on Sarah Fischer. I will definitely going back and reading more from her. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This story is about Shane and Christie. This so the third book in this series but it can also be read as an standalone too. This book has some pretty hot scenes and a beautiful ending too. As an reader you will be able to really connect with Christie and Shane. I HIGHLY recommend this one. I dare to read this one!! I won't be disappointed at all. Keep up the amazing work! Can't wait to read more of your books soon.

This is the first time I have read any of this author’s work, and my goodness, I cannot wait to 1-click her other work. This book in the third book in this amazing series. Christie thought that she had her whole life mapped out, until she meets Shane, and is introduced into the illegal race scene, which all having her rethinking in which direction her life should go. There is explosive chemistry between these two. No spoilers though; this is a must read in my opinion, you will not be disappointed! I am definitely a new fan of this author, and I will be adding her to my 1-click and favourites list.

Third Wheel is the first book that I've read by the amazingly talented Sarah Fischer, and another party where I showed up fashionably late is now added to the list, which makes me crazy! See Christie Peters has her life all mapped out for her, with the boyfriend that she plans to marry, take those wedding photos at the Plaza, then take care of their children when her husband is off fighting for their country as the perfect trophy wife. However, life has other plans for her when Shane walks into her life, which makes Christie realize that she needs a walk on the wild side. But the deeper she gets into Shane's world, the more her perfect life starts to break apart, which leaves Christie with the choice of settling for safety & security, or throw caution to the wind and live. The blurb to this story intrigued me, and I knew that I would like it, but I never saw how much I would LOVE it coming! First of all, the author wrote a hero of the Asian persuasion, which is very rare, and awesomely original. And the excitement that radiated off of him, kept my heart racing cover to cover. Plus, while Christie needed to be shaken a time or two, I seriously LOVED the way she evolved throughout this story! And of course, with illegal street racing, the twists & turns were around every corner to keep the loud f-bombs dropping all around. To wrap this fantastic story up perfectly, was the colorful cast of secondaries that added to all the awesome. I'm very excited to become a new fan of Ms. Fischer, and CANNOT wait to read previous & futures books of hers! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Reviewing on behalf of Amo's Book Corner.

What if your whole life was mapped out and everything was set to be perfect? But what if this wasn't what you wanted? Would you risk it all to find the 'real' you, or would you brush your feelings aside and carry on regardless? This is the dilemma Christie is faced with. She's 19 and set to get married to the perfect man who can give her the perfect life. Only this isn't what she wants. She isn't ready to settle down. She wants to have fun and risk it all and she wants to finish college and start a career. But how will her decisions affect her future?

Christie starts to make a list of all the things she wants to do before she settles down and as far as she's concerned, there's no time like the present to start ticking items of this list. In the process, she meets the drop-dead gorgeous Shane who, lets say, makes her experience and feel things she has never felt before. But with her mother's controlling nature, will Christie get away with it?

I am rating this book 5 stars! It is very well written and certainly doesn't disappoint. Captivated from the outset, I just couldn't wait to read on to find out what would happen next. This is one that I would certainly recommend to read - I loved it!

Where to begin?
I was blown away by this book and if I could give it more than five stars, I would. Not to be overly dramatic, but growing up, I didn't see a lot of Asian characters on TV or in books outside 'The Joy Luck Club'. As a Chinese woman, it feels really strange to never see or read about anyone who looks like you or grew up in a household like you did, and if you did, it was always the nerd or the token friend.
That's why when I first read that the main man in this book was a Korean one, I knew I had to read on. Shane is a beautifully complex character that brings together all the heat and strength you'd want in a male lead while also keeping in line with some Asian superstitions that put a smile on my face. He's wonderfully flawed and a little bit dangerous, just the kind of guy I'd love to see on the big screen. Let's just say sassy Christie has her hands full with this one, and I'm envious of her.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who adores romance novels, bad boys with hearts of gold, and some good laughs.

Third Wheel by Sarah Fischer

I had really high hopes for this book especially having read book 1 and 2 previously. This book however is a standalone so you will not be spoiled by the outcomes but I have to say whilst this book started off really well and really buoyant. It became repetitive.

Christie makes a list. I love lists so this was a big positive for me. I love how she adds things to it and how fun it was to experience that alongside her. She ends up bumping into Shane. By the way Shane is hot as hell and I loved him.

Christie is kind of maybe sort of in a relationship with someone else and that is when it started to put me off. It felt a bit forced and I think it was not my kind of read. However I do feel that it is a decent read and others will love this book for sure. It just didn’t suit me.

This is the last book. This was Christie's book along with her love interest Shane. Christie comes to the realization that she does not want to marry Rob, her boyfriend of 4 years. She does not want the life that has always been planned for her, and she is too young. However, Rob along with her family and long life friend Mindy, wont accept her decision. They were very annoying. Christie falls in love with Shane, and decides to stay with him, and loses her family. We do get to read about the others, and as I mentioned this is the conclusion.

OOOH WOW! Is is hot in here or is that just the florida heat wafting off my veranda? goodness me I finished this morning and I'm STILL blushing. That christie is a spitfire and I'm glad she put her foot down when it came to her parents and that boy she was seeing. But shane?? goodness me, he's a spicy one! A little rude, but not in a bad way. he flirts like nobody's business and follows through with his threats. I hope there's another with the pair of them in it. I'd read it in a heartbeat!

I really loved this book but I'm sad to see the series end. It was tied up nicely and everything but I'm still waiting for more. This was a great book with hot scenes and a beautiful ending. The characters didn't change for each other, but rather, it was their raw personalities that was so appealing. I really connected with Christie and Shane was just utter perfection. Truly, he was such a fun character and a great mix between bad boy and hero.

This was indeed a great end to this series!! I adored the love all of the friends found and watered their friendships daily. They always got together, spent time with/without their spouses, and truly loved their families even to a fault. I'm bad about slipping so I wont write a bunch but I will say I really loved this series and am anxious to read more of her work!!!

I received this book from the author as a prize in a giveaway. It was really good and I enjoyed the whole series. Book 3 also takes place in Elton Hall. The same characters are part of the story which I like. This book focuses mainly on Christie. She is a commuter student and is engaged with the plan to marry her high school sweetheart after he finishes military school. She won’t get to finish college at Elton Hall but will have to move with Rob to wherever he’s assigned. She begins to question this whole plan as she spends more time with the others at Elton Hall. Christie meets Shane who is into illegal racing and decides she wants to take a break from Rob. Rob and Christie spend time together and she sees a new path for her life.

I highly recommend this book and the whole series. It has been fun reading books about college life again after so many years. I have read other books by Sarah and have loved them too.

This book was my favorite of the "Elton Hall Chronicles". Standing on your own and knowing your own mind is a challenge for any adult, but especially so for young professionals attempting to find their truth. I'm sure many women, both young and old will be able to identify with Christie's struggle to live life on her own terms, and not those set by her parents, friends, or the men in her life.

Each book in the Elton Hall Chronicles would be an excellent source to prompt group discussions concerning many of the issues faced by women. The various scenarios posed in each novel, will enable participants to recognize the manipulative behaviors that lead to domestic and sexual abuse. Once identified, the group can work together to develop strategies to deal with or avoid these situations, and establish healthy relationships.

My favorite if the trilogy

Excellent character development.
I loathed half and loved half of them.
Everything I expected to happen was wrong, because the plot twists were better than I could have imagined.
PS: We all have a Mindy, and they are not what we deserve.

Favorite out of the three! Shane is such a goofball, but a cute one. Liked seeing the romance play out. And the street racing? That got my heart pumping.
