Healed by You is the second book in the Harbor Series, and yes, before you ask, can be read as a standalone, but after reading HBY, you should definitely pick up Bound to You and all the other books by this amazing author.
For those of you who are a Christy Pastore fangirl like myself, you already met Grady James. In HBY, he has grown up a lot, he’s finally coming into his own and having his own leading parts and still doing the modeling gig. He’s married and settled and thought all was well at Casa James, when he walks in on his wife doing a very interesting yoga pose with her instructor, ahem, doggie style anyone? Ah Hollywood, home of the cheaters. After licking his chops and getting divorced, Grady goes back to where he can just be himself and be close to his friends, back to the harbor at the Hamptons.
Since Grady still needs to work, he finds himself at a modeling gig where he meets his Special Lady. It is someone he has known from modeling. No, I’m not giving you her name especially if you have read the previous books. Let it be a surprise. Let’s just say, she too is coming off a two year relationship, when her douche canoe boyfriend decides to break off so he can concentrate on his athleticism. What I adored most about this Special Lady is that, she grieved for her ex, and kept it moving. She is busy concentrating on making a go of her business plan, but when her BFF asked her to stand in with Grady during a photoshoot, besides the camera capturing the chemistry between these two, sparks were flying all over the place.
They both decide to take things slow up until the paparazzi gets wind of their outings and Grady devices this great plan and convinces his Special Lady to run with it and make tabloid talk. Simple, right? It was until, the crazies commenting and making up more stories, c’est la vie. Can I take a minute and applause Special Lady in getting what she wants in the bedroom? Homegirl can dirty talk like a boss and Grady, he sure as hell did not hold back in that department either.
Both main characters were strong together, they had very funny moments, the Friends references were the best. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and when it did, I was a bit sad, but through it all, the author made me believe in love. How love is so powerful, you will revisit your original stance on failed marriages.
I love how Ms. Pastore made me want go visit the Hamptons and hangout at the harbor. The descriptions were so lush that I felt I was there with Grady, his Special Lady and his awesome group of friends. We should all have friends like Ronan, Holliday, Ella and Alex.
On release day, come take a fictional visit to the Hamptons and read Healed by You and escape in the romance, love and friendship.

Christy Pastore is my go to author when I want a story about the rich and famous. The reason is she writes the characters in such a way that proves they are also human and flawed. And once again she has not disappointed.
Grady and Grady's Lady are a couple you will find hard to forget. Moving in the same circles, they are drawn together by circumstance. Their relationship soon turns to more and let me tell you their passion and chemistry will blow you away. And when they act on that...it is an inferno!!! #GradyisaSexGod
Filled with heat and intensity, "Healed by you" is one of this author's best works and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a love story with glamour, Hollywood royalty and amazing locations.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY!! It’s sexy, sweet and had me turning the pages until it was over. This was my first read by this author and this book solidified me as a fan! Seriously, you do not want to miss this story!

What a great Contemporary Romance book this was!!! This is my second book by Christy Pastore and each one I read gets better and better.
Who doesn’t love a great Hollywood story? One that is filled with paparazzi, rumors, social media, break-ups, one night stands, etc!! Isn’t this the way the ball rolls in Hollywood?
Grady has it all going for him in life. Just wrapped up on filming and comes home to celebrate with his wife… Only his wife has started celebrating a wee bit earlier than she should have.
While the burner is set to medium heat, the relationship forms. No need to rush a good thing, right? Learn all there is about each other and open up when you are ready to. That’s the perfect setting for a great relationship.
But when feelings form and the truth comes out. Will one make a sacrifice to not have what they truly want in a relationship? Or is it time to let it go and become the one who is in a relationship with no paperwork to tie the two together…
Just like a perfect pineapple, this story drew me in at the beginning and kept me going till the end. Great job Christy on another fantastic book!!!

5 heart healing stars!
Healed by You is the second book in The Harbour Series, and I am pretty sure I say this about every book I have read by Christy, but this one is my favorite!
I connected with both characters so much, I felt for them and with them, meaning my heart broke when theirs was breaking and felt all of their emotions in between.
The writing was beautiful, it had everything I was looking for in a story, connection, flowing well, emotion. Well after I put the book down I could not get this story and characters out of my head.

I read this book in one sitting because I was simply engrossed and curious about it! I never expected the outcome I got because it just wasn't what I expected! I think this is the best book from this author yet! The way the story flows and how the characters go together is just beautiful and while there's some heavy topics, it was done in a way that you will savor and enjoy every word.. go into it blind.. do not read other reviews and don't skip anything because every word and moment matters!

I have soooo many mixed feelings about this book. I wanted to love it but I find that I just liked it. Grady and Harlow have an interesting journey and pasts. I think that some aspects could have been flushed out a little more to make the story flow a little easier. I wanted to know and feel more of Grady and Harlow's struggles, lives, dreams, and just overall about them as individuals and a couple. This is a standalone book in a series of books and I look forward to reading about the next couple, which I have no clue who it could be?

This is the second book in the Harbour series and it does not disappoint at all. This book grabbed me from the beginning and held me until the end. A great love and a great story filled with likeable characters. The writing was great, the characters great, and the plot held everything together. Love like this couple. Grady makes a great lead male. His lady and he bring a certain heat to the book. There is so much to love about this book that make you fall in love with its characters. When love comes unexpectedly it makes it so special. This is a rollercoaster ride I didn’t mine getting on and enjoying it till it was over . I can’t wait to see what this author does next .

Healed by You is a sweet, fun, loving and sexy gift!! Christy draws you in w/ all of her fabulous Hampton details; and then of course there is Grady... and his dreamy blue eyes.

Do not drag your feet on getting this book! It's like all of you friends gathered around for brunch mimosas!! You can't help but smiling all day!
I love Christy Pastore's writing, she draws you into story with her attention to detail, giving us fabulous destinations, a great group of friends, gorgeous fashion and intelligent, smart, sexy characters!
I personally have had my eye on Grady James when he was first introduced to us in the Scripted Series ...he had depth to be explored! I am so glad Christy have us Grady's story...and his lady! (You don't have to read Scripted Series, but you will want to!!)
We are taken from Hollywood Glam to Hamptons Classics; Sea Side Summer Tents & Charity Polo Matches. Christy writes about luxury and opulence all while making the characters seem extremely relatable and down to earth!
I don't care for reviews that give away the story or plot lines; but I will tell you both Grady & his Lady have been hurt, both are wounded and in need of a bit of TLC. They recognize that in each other, they allow their relationship to grow and flourish. It doesn't go over the top, it's real and heartfelt. They are fun, sexy and gorgeous! You root for them, laugh with them, want to be friends with them.....I wanted to have a Montauk Sandy on the deck at sunset w/ them!
I love reading a love story, one that just has you smiling ... this one delivers!

*Where is the 10 star button? I desperately need that button. This is now my favorite book by Ms. Pastore and yes, my favorite book boyfriend. I've met some mighty fine men this summer, but none like Grady James. Oh no, none like him and I'm sorry but, dibs on the man. He is perfection, stand in line ladies my claws have dug in and I am not budging.
Now, dearest reader, I understand you have read many a book; I have too. I agree that we all have our own opinions and our likes and dislikes. Well, let me share this with you; you want to read a book with an epic beginning? A book with a male lead that will not only have you swooning, but will show you what unconditional love is? Then you need Healed by You in your life. Need my friends this book is a need. not a want. Grady and Harlow, will take us on a beautiful and at times raw and sad journey.
But, this journey is one of love, one that will show us that two people can come together for the wrong reasons but fate always has a hand in things.
This book, is a work of art. The passion and dedication that Ms Pastore has for her writing shines in Healed by You. Chica, you blew me away and I thank you so much for letting me live that beautiful experience..

This book was beautifully written and made me feel all grown up, with all the beautiful, eloquent words and proper conversations.
The love story of Grady and Harlow is very sweet and sexy. Both are beyond gorgeous; being a male model/actor and a lingerie model/lifestyle blogger, they'd have to be. They live the life of the elite and Grady takes Harlow to fabulous places that I could see in my minds eye, as they were depicted so well.
Their group of friends are amazing and people that we have been introduced to before in Christy Pastore's previous books. We have scheming low life ex's and a nasty parent to make your blood boil and the drama of a new relationship to get to grips with so all in all there is plenty to keep you reading.
I shed a few tears at one point too; I'm such a lightweight when it comes to emotions but it was worth it just to read such a lovely story.

Healed by You is the 2nd book in the Harbor Series and can be read as a standalone. This is Grady James’s story—you met Grady in Christy Pastore’s Scripted series books as a secondary character and something about him then drew me to him and I was so glad to see he was getting his own book now.
In Healed by You, he is a well known movie star and is married but in the beginning of the book, we see his marriage come apart when his wife is doing her yoga instructor. After he gets over his wounds of the breakup, he files for divorce and heads for the Hamptons where his friends are , back to the Harbor. While he is going thru this divorce for his wife is fighting him, he still needs work so he gets a well-known modeling job and this is where he meets her-she who bewitches him. Its someone who he has worked with before in the modeling circuit and they are friends but suddenly he sees her in a special light. Grady’s lady has had a lot of pain in her past, in fact she is coming off a 2 yr romance with a stupid man who used her and then dumps her because she is better known that he is and that makes him feel threatened so he dumps her as she thinks he is going to propose. This tears this beautiful woman apart and this is when these two meet- when they are at crossroads in their personal and professional lives.
The passion and heat between Grady and his woman are electric and the emotional connection is JUST as hot. I loved how they worked thru a lot and learned to be there , for one another. It was also great to see old friends make appearances in this new story in the Harbor Series. Grady’s woman is sassy and sweet. She knows how to work the runaway yet also make money. She is smart and funny; she is a good friend and she always keeps Grady knowing her love is real-she is loyal and above her, she isn’t a cheater. Not to say there isn’t angst- there are ups and downs and of course, Grady is a guy so will he learn to pull his head out of his rear or will he ruin the most perfect thing? Only way to find out is to read the latest by Christy Pastore—trust me, you don’t want to miss out!!!

A sweet and endearing love story, Grady and Harlow's journey started off as a ploy to turn the tabloids story lines around on the rumours that have been started by both of their Ex's. Being in the lime light has its disadvantages when life isn't going to plan and when you throw in fame hunger Ex's who put a different spin on why they are the now the "Ex's" !! Leaving Grady and Harlow with not much option bit to throw their own spin into the mix. They both soon forget that they are pretending to fall in love and their relationship soon heats up, both coming from a broken relationship gives them different opinions on marriage and the future , but is love enough to concur all after all ?
I did enjoy this story although I felt it was too sweet for me and would of liked a bit more drama - this is only my opinion though. The flow of the story worked well and it was very well written. Great mix of fame, social media, jealousy, paparazzi, some hot sex scenes and wealth The characters were all very likable with great personalities and you felt like they are all one big family that would definitely have your back when needed.

Healed by You is the first book that I have read by Christy Pastore, this story was filled cover to cover with drama! This story has it all! Scandal, lies and hot sex! You will swoon and fall in love because these two couldn't be more perfect together. I really enjoyed watching them overcome their past together, how they healed each other.
"Everyone has a chapter they don't read out loud."
That line sums up so much of their relationship because they both had been delivered hard blows in their lives that aren't easy to talk about, but they always find a way to communicate and work things out. So much happens in this story, I was angry at side characters and I cried from the devastation and heartbreak on our heroines behalf. I was destroyed for her. I wanted to yell and scream at these people, just me when I saw that she handled these situations with much more class than I would have.
If you are looking for a story with all the feels, drama and steamy sex scenes, then this is the story for you!

So much happens in this story, I was angry at side characters and I cried from the devastation and heartbreak on our heroines behalf. I was destroyed for her. I wanted to yell and scream at these people, just me when I saw that she handled these situations with much more class than I would have.
If you are looking for a story with all the feels, drama and steamy sex scenes, then this is the story for you!

Healed by You by Christy Pastore is the first book that I have read by this author. It is the second book in "The Harbor Series".
Before I get into any further thoughts on this book I need to address one thing, "True Fact, Starbucks over roasts their beans". I don't need to read anymore, I'm hooked it's done. You got me. I am officially a fan if for no other reason. I will drink Starbucks in desperation for nothing better, but I am a coffee snob and proud. Starbucks over roasts their beans, it's true. Then they burn it further by making the water too hot. That's why they have all the sugary crap mixed in to hide the flavor. Now that I've addressed that issue I can move on to the actual review.
I love Grady and Harlow. When I read the synopsis I started reading begrudgingly. Most of the books I've read that are about actors and actresses are a bit shallow. That was not the case here. The relationship was built progressively and naturally. The relationships were full, supportive, and filled with enough inside humor to make them believable. I loved this story, and can't wait for the rest of the series.

A touching book from such a cool perspective!
I can't recall ever reading a story told from the "haves." The characters in the books I've read have always been "have nots," can't pay their rent, etc. But everyone here was shiny and famous and it was just really interesting to read from that side of the tracks!
Grady's story was really heartbreaking. I felt for him, and that crazy things kept happening to him, and I couldn't wait to read how his whole situation got resolved.
I enjoyed Harlow because, although she was famous, she really didn't come across as entitled or snooty. She, too, had a rough time, and I couldn't wait to see how things would play out.
This was my first book by Christy, but I truly enjoyed her writing and I'd love to read more by her!

OH MY OH!!!
I just LOVED this book from beginning to end.. I could barely put it down.. This book was simply wonderful..

Christy has a way of building characters so they feel like friends you have known forever. The East Harbour crew are similiar to members of your favorite sitcom. You've seen their antics, felt their heartache, celebrated their accomplishments, and watched them grow. Grady James is a major part of that. Who was once a secondary character, is now the leading man. Do you want to know the best part? You don't have to watch 8 seasons to catch up. You can start right here with Healed by You but obviously, you'll want to binge Christy's books because they've all been amongst my favorites.
The amount of growth we see in Grady is incomparable. I feel like he grew into a man, while still holding on to his naughty side while reading this book. His love for his lady is above all else. I think he will surprise you with all that is behind his pretty face. Grady is a master at many things!

Grady and Harlow are both apart of the Hollywood scene! When things start going haywire in both their lives they decide to join forces and play with the press a little! Harlow and Grady already have a little chemistry as they have seen each other around in the same circle. Their fake relationship is all going to plan and things get heated!

Christy Pastore is a new author for me so I started with her 2nd book in the Habour Series. They can be read as standalone so I can't wait to go back to Book #1 (Bound to Me). Ms. Pastore's writing had a great flow to it and kept me very entertained. I love Grady and he's need to be a good guy. Even though he is famous he still has time for his friends and wants to always do the right thing. So of course he would make friends with Harlow. She is coming away from a horrible breakup that she is trying to keep quiet. Grady and Harlow become fast friends which leaves the Paparazzi wondering what exactly is going on between the two. So what are they going to do, end a great friendship or tease the Paparazzi with their 'friendship"? Go grab The Harbour Series for an amazing series about the rich and famous that seems more like just everyday people.

No one cares if any of it is true or who they hurt. Harlow, engaged and about to launch her new internet site. Life is full of possibilities. Sometimes the only way to get your happily ever after is unconventional. Grady and Harlow are trying to survive life in the fast lane and the public eye. They only truly survive when they look what is in front of them instead of worrying about what the public thinks. This is what a true Hollywood love story is. People trying to make a living and find true happiness. I loved this book.

This was a good, solid romance filled with a bit of angst, a lot of sexy times, friendship, love and let's not forget the two Hollywood celebs! Grady and Harlow were a match made in heaven. Since they were both Hollywood celebs and models, they understood what the other had to go through at times and navigated through the controversy they found themselves in once they were spotted together. Think Jennifer Anniston, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie. Both coming off of an unexpected relationship split, they were both working through their feelings of being alone again and a little heartbroken. There were a few issues they faced like the paparazzi, bad image story lines from their ex's, daddy issues, and ex issues, but they came through those undeterred in their feeling for each other. But then marriage was mentioned and all hell broke loose. Grady and Harlow found their happily ever after the way that worked for them and it was perfect. As I've seen others mention, this can be read as a standalone. I did not read Bound to Me first, but I definitely plan on hitting that story as soon as possible. If you're looking for something that's a solid romance read without a whole lot of drama, this is the book for you.

I don't usually love books with Hollywood-esue flavor, but there is something different about this series from Pastore.
The characters jump off the pages, and what normally feels so removed, feels real.
I love Pastore's devotion to character development and understanding settings. In HBY, we travel to the Hamptons - a place I've always wanted to go - and now I feel like I've been there.
Grady is a gentle yet commanding hero, which makes this also a different yet refreshing read for me.
I don't want to give a book report - this read is fun, sexy and the perfect paring for a Pina colada.
The characters jump off the pages, and what normally feels so removed, feels real.

Healed by you is the second book in the Harbour Series but it was definitely able to be read as a standalone. However, as soon as I was done reading I went straight to Amazon to one click book 1 because I had to have more of these characters. Both Harlow and Grady have their hearts broken when their relationships suddenly end. Being celebrities in Hollywood doesn't help when their ex's are soon all over spreading lies about what really happened. Leaning on each other as a way to stay strong they decide that maybe they can start some rumors of their own and take advantage of the publicity surrounding them. Soon real feelings start to form and of course drama from the past pops up to try to tear them apart.
I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading. I was going through lots of emotions and close to tears for what Harlow was going through more than once. A must read book for sure!

Christy has a way with words. Her attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Even if you haven't read about Alex and Ella, or Ronan and Holliday....you can still read about Grady and his "lady". You will appreciate it all the same.
You are drawn into the story from the very first sentence. Polo matches that have you imagining what Grady looks like on horseback, and parties in the Hamptons that one only dreams about. No matter what it is, Christy describes it in great detail. You feel like you are right there, eating pancakes and drinking the best coffee a person could have, the morning after!
And who could ask for a better man? A man that appreciates his woman, and respects her in every way possible. Even when she takes charge, and demands his attention...he never disappoints.
Like all of Christy's leading men...how can one choose??? They all are perfect in their own way. But in this case, we all wish we were "Grady's Lady"...

This is a beautifully written friends to lovers story. I loved Grady and Harlow together and I was routing for them. They both suffered through previous heartache, but were able to overcome and fall in love again. This was definitely a feel good story with lots of hot sexy times. A beautiful, butterfly inducing romance that'll have your heart strings in knots...
If you know me, you'll know that I love finding new authors whose words have meaning to me... make me feel something. Whether it's happiness and joy or angst and sadness... lust and yearning even— I just have this constant craving to be swept away, taken to new places and getting to know new people... more precisely, I love submerging myself in fictitious worlds and characters. It's not every time that I come away having learnt something, or even enjoyed a book for that matter, however, it's been a few days since I read Healed By You and it's still plaguing my mind and heart with its blazing love, heartache and hope. Christy Pastore gave me something that not just swept me of into a new world, but she also swept me off my feet.
People normally assume I'm a romantic because what I love to read, however I'm actually a realist. I'm not the kind of person who expects big romantic gestures or needs them and that is where this book completely drew me in. I'm not saying that the romance is muted (it most certainly is not), but there is so much more to this story than that (I'm sorry but I will not elaborate because you deserve to experience this story like I did, with no expectations). I went into this book not knowing what I would get because I hadn't ever read anything by Christy, however it wasn't long until I was completely besotted with this story. There is this real sense of heartbreak and bleakness that is beautifully and slowly dissipated with humorous moments and a consuming chemistry that has your belly exploding with butterflies.
The characters are strong and grounded considering their background. Their actions although fitting to them are at times unexpected and surprising. I flipped through the pages of this book so quickly because I felt like I couldn't get enough of either hero or heroine. Grady is so much more than what he seems and he had me hanging on his every word and action. The further into the story I got I felt myself open up and letting him in, and really falling for him. He has this bravado that tries to keep you at arms length, but the little glimpses of his softness and vulnerability... of his kindness draw you in and cause all these heart strings to attach to him. Then his lady, the heroine, does this incredible thing where she gets under his skin and you see this completely beautiful side to him that you get hints of at first. A side where his unconditional love has you swooning as he sweeps you off your feet. There's this constant pull between him and the heroine that has you hoping that love and life are kind to them. I found myself rooting for them and my heart racing with theirs... these were just two phenomenal characters that I was unable to keep out of my heart, let alone at arms length.

Once I opened this book I was lost to it. Transfixed by the characters and their story. Christy Pastore blew me away with her uncontainable talent and her delicious, insanely hot chemistry and characters. I cannot wait to get my hands on the first book in The Harbour Series, Bound To Me, and lose myself in Christy's undeniably incredible world.

I recently read the first book in this series and then I moved straight onto this book! I was excited to read it, even though I knew that it was going to be about different characters! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this book, but I found that I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book! The plot was interesting and kept me wanting to read on though and it only took me a few sittings to read! The plot also had a few minor twist and turns in it, but there wasn't any action and suspense! This meant that the plot stayed on one level and it didn't go up to lead to a big climatic scene! I do love a bit of action and suspense in books, so I was a bit sad that this book didn't have any in it! There were plenty of seriously hot scenes though and they were really, really hot! I felt like there were more hot scenes than what there was in the first book lol! The plot also ended at the perfect place too and summed up the characters story beautifully! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Grady was the main male character, and he made a few appearances in the first book in this series, so I was looking forward to reading his story! Grady was seriously hot in this book and he had a successful job that put him in the public eye! Grady had quite a few situations in this book though and he did his best to manage them! It was also easy to see Grady's feelings for his love interest develop! He really cared for her, but he was scared of commitment! I could completely understand this because of what he had been through! Harlow was the main female character and love interest of Grady! I liked Harlow a lot in this book! She was easy for me to connect with and I didn't lose that connection with her throughout the book! Harlow also had a good job and she was looking to expand on that and make an even bigger name for herself! I respected her for this because she had good ideas! Harlow was also quite a confident character and she wasn't scared to speak her mind and be honest! I really liked this about her! It was also easy to see that Harlow really cared about Grady and she did help him a lot! I loved that this book was written from both Grady and Harlow's point of views! I was hoping that it was going to be because the first book was written from dual point of view, so I'm really happy that this book was too! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot too, especially since both characters spent some time apart! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I can't find any information on it, but it said at the end of this book that there is going to be another book! I can't wait to read it when it releases and find out who the main characters are going to be! I hope it releases soon too! I still have all this author's other books to read though, so that should keep me going until her next book releases lol! The cover for this book is also stunning! I love it a lot and it's really hot! The cover suits the book perfectly too and the models represent the characters of Grady and Harlow too!
