Forget Me Not (The Last Kiss) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 2,711 ratings

I fell in love with a boy a long time ago.

I was only a small girl. Scared and frightened, I was taken from my home and held against my will. His father hurt me, but he protected me and kept me safe as best he could.

Until I left him.

I ran the first chance I got and even though I knew he wasn’t behind me, I didn’t stop. The branches lashed out at me, punishing me for leaving him in the hands of a monster.

I’ve never felt such guilt in my life.

Although I survived, the boy was never found. I prayed for him to be safe. I dreamed he’d be alright and come back to me. Even as a young girl I knew I loved him, but I betrayed him.

Twenty years later, all my wishes came true.

But the boy came back a man. With a grip strong enough to keep me close and a look in his eyes that warned me to never dare leave him again. I was his to keep after all.

Twenty years after leaving one hell, I entered another. Our tale was only just getting started.

It’s dark and twisted.

But that doesn’t make it any less of what it is.

A love story. Our love story.

Mr. CEO

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

Happy reading and best wishes,

Willow xx

Cause if you do I suggest you loose them.
The synopsis draws you in, but it also gives nothing away.

This is not your typical love story, this is not a love triangle, this is not something you should walk into with a narrow mind.

This story is raw, emotional, gut wrenching.
At times you will feel conflicted, worried for the main characters and rooting for the outcome. Everything is layered beautifully, nothing is given away, and then the light bulb will go off over your head and you'll be like... Oh My God. You won't see it, but you'll know. And then you'll get an explanation.

I finished this book in one sitting, I needed to know how it ended, how the story played out. And if it hooks you like it did me, you'll finish it in one sittting too.. So make sure you have the time. 😍

A myriad of things can happen - the victim disassociates himself/herself from the abuse and violence.
Or they can move forward from the chaos that exists ...

I've wanted to read Jay and Robin's story the infrangible depth and contrasting layers intermingled and encompassed within their story back to each other. With a lot of twists and turns in the way Marvellous 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟and totally amazing beyond words

A Blushing Book Review: Willow Winters - Forget Me Not

NOTE: There's a prequel at the end of the book. I wish that I had read it before the main story as it would have created more intrigue to the book.

This is a hard one to describe as it is a complicated to pinpoint a specifc genre its a predominatly a dark romance but with very little romance , it's also a phycological thriller and a push and pull love story that is mind twisting and emotionally deep. In saying that Willow did not go as dark as I would have hoped from her and the potential was there to. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed this story and the unqueness of it I just want more. More character depth, more character development, and more answers to all the questions I had.

This is not the typical love story, Robin and Jay's tragic and traumatic childhood ties them together but its the very same very thing that keeps them apart and a strange obsessive love devlopes between them somewhere in the middle.

I really enjoyed this book. It was my first Willow Winters and won't be my last. The love that was created through their first brief encounter as kids was what enabled them heal as adults when they were finally brought back together again. Willow was able to put so much feeling into this book, that I really loved it.

A psychological thriller/love triangle told in multiple points of view. It was a bit confusing at first because of the way the author narrated each character’s perspective but it gets better after the first quarter of the book. This story hooked me right from the start I couldn’t put it down but I was also worried on how Robin, Jay and John’s complicated romance would end.

This is a tale about Robin who was kidnapped as a child by Jay’s father. Jay was also held against his will by his abusive father. Jay helped Robin escape but Jay was left behind to face his father’s wrath. Fast forward to twenty years later and Robin is now a psychologist who still battles her inner demons and her past. Robin and Jay meet again but it gets complicated when John gets involved with the pair. John seems to be a straightforward character compared to Jay’s damaged psyche but Robin is caught between the two. Is it possible to fall in love with two people without suffering the consequences? Because of what happened to Jay and Robin’s horrific past they have this unbreakable bond that ties them together. So where does that leave John?

“The past can ruin a person forever. They may recover, but they’re never the same. Never what they once were. The scar may be thicker than delicate skin. It may protect you from some things and give you a wall to hide behind. But it’s the gentle things that will cut it open and leave you raw and wounded once again.”

This gripping tale of abuse and childhood trauma, healing and unconditional love is not one to be missed. I absolutely adore Jay’s character, his dark side and his ultimate sacrifice for Robin. And yet I also love John, dependable and uncomplicated and also deeply in love with Robin. I wish I could explain more about the main characters’ complex relationship but that would be giving away the story. You just have to trust me on this one and give it a go. I definitely would recommend this book to friends, so different and refreshing. Four stars for this nail-biting romance with a twist!

I received an ARC of this book for a review. This is a must read !!!!! Willow you wrote this book beautifully, it is a dark romance book, I was getting a bit confused as I couldn't work out what was going on but then it clicked. Jay and Robin went through a very disturbing situation when they were children (Something to Remember - a prequel) will give an insight to this story. Robin was able to escape and Jay was not very happy that she left and didn't come back, but he told her to leave. 20 years later and she still has nightmares about the situation they were in. Jay has been keeping an eye on her for a very long time and he kidnapped her and taken her back to his place so they can get better together. There is a darkness and there are twists - amazing. Very emotional story but it was there love story.

After reading the prequel Something To Remember the week before Forget Me Not came out I was basically frantic until I saw my email that said my book was delivered! It was around 1:00 am and I did a little scream of excitement and my husband was like "that book came in didn't it?" He knows me so well! lol Plus, I haven't stopped raving about it and complaining about the fact that I didn't have the main book to read yet! Hence, why I usually wait until I have all the books in a series that have cliffhangers! It kills me to wait for the next book in the series! lol

But as soon as I received Forget Me Not I started reading it. I did not wait until the next morning, no, I started at 1 am and kept going until I had to stop for a moment to collect myself due to the momentum of the book, the darkness, the nature and what the characters were going through...I needed a moment for my mind to catch up and digest it all. Then I would start reading again and an hour or so later I would stop reading again to repeat the same process. It was the only way I could get through this remarkable story.

This is a book that if too much is said by me here it will ruin your experience when you read the book yourself! So this is one of the most difficult reviews I have ever written considering it is for a book I freaking loved!

This was such an amazing story. Definitely a top 10 book of the year for me without a doubt!

The story had angst, mystery, HOT sex! And a love story that is to be remembered for a very long time! And YES it is a love story! It may be dark and they may have to go through a lot of twists and turns to get to the right point at the end but it is a beautiful poignant love story because of those twists and turns!

Don't shy away from this book...buy it now! You won't regret it! I will definitely be rereading this book in the future! Just amazing writing by author Willow Winters!

I loved this story! It was raw, emotional and frightening at times. It is an emotional rollercoaster. The author did an amazing job. My heart broke for John, Jay and Robin. I don’t think I will ever look at a bird flying away and not think of this story.

I've preordered this book and sat back and waited for it too appear. Honestly I'm not the girl who preorders. I've done that with probably 3 books since I started using a kindle. This one just got me! I needed to read it after first reading something to remember.
Have to say without a doubt this book messes with your mind. Your all over with it trying to understand John and Jay. The male characters dominate the book perfectly with the female very much on the sidelines but being an integral part of their story. Their love for her making the book extremely powerful. I loved this book. If I could give it 100 stars I would. I won't go into the story because honestly if I did I wouldn't even no how to explain it without giving something away and this is a book which you can not have anything given away before reading it. It would only spoil the story. I love this writer, she never fails to deliver on a story and I think by now I've read every book she has written. This one though for me was her masterpiece so far. How she gets into the minds of these people and make them damaged but loving. It's clear she investigates every story before putting it out there, she makes absolutely sure she understands the topic she is speaking about before adding it to a book. Exceptional!!!

Finale a sorpresa.
