Fiercely independent Chelsea Barnes has caught a rare break and been cast as the first non-celebrity on the hit show Celebrity Dance Off. Chelsea is coined ‘America’s Chance to Dance,’ but her partner planned on an A-lister, not a nobody.

Clashing with her partner, she’s ready to go home; but during an emotional dance, her heart-breaking past as an abandoned, homeless teen is revealed. Not only do the viewers fall in love with her, so does the flirty British guest singer, Broadway star Thomas Evan Oliver.

Tom is struck by this feisty girl who complicates his over-structured life, and pursues her in a romantic cross-country courtship until she’s voted off and joins him. Their sexy whirlwind love affair blossoms in New York as she navigates the big city and his exhausting eight shows a week, but most important, her scarred heart begins to heal. Perhaps happily ever after might be a possibility after all.

Sweet story, the attention to detail is remarkable.

That ending, though? Minus 2 stars.

If Ever by Angie Stanton
4 stars!!!

“There’s a fine line between sexual tension and smelly farts.”

Angie Stanton is a new to me author and this one was chosen because of two things…Strictly Come Dancing is my guilty pleasure…and I adore this cover. It is funny what makes you pick up a book and this was one that I was extremely glad I did. This was a quick, cute, romantic read where romance doesn’t come from where you think.

The reality dancing TV show element was my absolute favourite, I could picture myself behind the scenes of one of my favourite TV shows, one that I spend all my winter weekends watching. If Ever gives you a bird’s eye view of what really happens and it is as if Angie Stanton has actually been a production crew member…maybe she has? I loved the warts and all storyline, the training, the banter, jealousies and insecurities, but most of all, love, love finding you when you least expect it and especially with whom.

Chelsea was the first non-celebrity to take part in Celebrity Dance Off, Chelsea was dubbed “America’s Chance to Dance.” One drunken audition had led her to this reality TV show and she was so far out of her depth she was drowning. Chelsea had a lot of insecurities and vulnerabilities and having the cameras pointed at her 24/7 was not helping.

Tom was a gorgeous Brit on Broadway, a singer/song-writer and thespian. Tom oozed that British charm and when Chelsea and her dance partner chose one of his songs to dance to, he instantly became enamoured.

“He’s like a mirage in a desert, a handsome man with a beautiful heart.”

Chelsea was a great character, she was real, honest and relatable. We often come across abandonment issues in books, but with Chelsea I actually felt them. Angie Stanton does a great job with her character connection and Chelsea is one of those heroines that you just want to give a big hug to and try and support them in any way possible.

“You’ve just been knocked down a lot. Every time you gain momentum, something happens. I curse all the bad luck and dark bastards that have hurt you, but you’re letting your fears drive you into making a terrible decision.”

The cast of secondary characters was fantastic, many different personalities as you would expect with reality TV and each one had their own part to play. As I said above, I lived this story and while I do feel that some of the storyline could have been trimmed a little, I sincerely didn’t care. I loved the chemistry between Chelsea and Tom, it was a flickering ember in the beginning and Angie Stanton gave it the legs to grow. I loved the journey that these two took, I was glad it wasn’t at all instant and that both of them took their time in getting to know one and other, they helped each other and were there for one and other. Overall, a cute romance that any Dancing with the Stars / Strictly Come Dancing addict will devour with gusto, but even if not, the characters hold their own and for me, I couldn’t put it down.

This book was what I'd call right up my alley. Why? Because I love the dance shows/competitions on TV. In this book Chelsea Barnes is cast as the first non-celebrity on the TV show Celebrity Dance Off. The problem: the star dancer she is partnered with was not expecting a nobody! He was expecting a star dancer; however, even though Chelsea wasn't an "A-lister" she danced with heart. She did the one thing I've heard judges tell dance contestants multiple times: show emotion, make a connection with your audience. Chelsea did that and won over Tom Evan Oliver. Chelsea had been very wounded as a child and grew up with less than positive circumstances, and that was exemplified in her dancing.

The romance uh...hello...sweet...sexy...tender. Just the type or romance I love to read. This book is about more than hot steamy sex. It has the elements of a good romance/love story and it had me smiling throughout. If you like books with a HEA, you just might love this one.

Welcome to the world of reality television and the lights of Broadway! Chelsea Barnes, an unknown has the opportunity to strut her stuff on Celebrity Dance -- but she's going to find it harder than she imagined. Tom Oliver is on his way to becoming a star -- one with a magic voice. When he and Chelsea meet in a rather "special way," sparks fly. But she's on the west coast and he's on the east coast and, well, long distance romances are a bit hard to cultivate.

Chelsea's dance partner, Dominic, puts her through the paces and the rest of the celebrity cast aren't making it easy on her either. She feels like a fish out of water. This is when you see Chelsea's strength come to light. Her past has been filled with hardship and sadness and she's had to make it mostly on her own. I loved seeing this side of her character.

The romance is charming -- and Tom is mostly responsible on that end. The relationship is slooow burn -- but really sweet and fun-to-read.

But -- as much as I liked the concept of this storyline, it felt lacking. Too much time spent apart on the pages by the two leads, and that ending was the real bummer. Even though it's happy, it just doesn't "complete me." Way too many dangling ends unresolved and no hint of what the future holds for these two as a couple - or a hint of any future continuation of their storyline.

A classic case of the old coulda, shoulda, woulda syndrome for this reader.

This story is basically my teenage daydreams come to life.
Just a small town girl, who gets "discovered", becomes "famous", and gets to date a celebrity...yeah, all my teenage daydreams!
Chelsea is the quintessential mid-western girl, and I adore her. I'll admit, for a moment there I was rooting for her and Dominic...their banter was so much fun.
But then Tom came into the picture and all was lost. Oh, Tom, how I love thee.
Homeboy loves with everything that he has, and I want to be Chelsea.

Teenage daydreams right there!

This books was filled with ups and downs, moments where I laughed so hard and moments where my black heart cracked a bit. My Kindle may have also flown across the couch at one point.

Stanton created a beautiful escape from reality...and also weaved humor and hardship in it perfectly.

Cannot recommend it enough!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
4.5 Stars

Actually I’ve started this book without reading the blurb or any reviews beforehand. So I dove in pretty blind. Which was kind of exciting.
So I was quite confused when Chelsea and Dominic had such a rough start and no chemistry at all. I am used to the fact that in the romance books the first guy a girl meets (or the other way around) is usually THE one person. But it was obvious that they were not it.
However, the chemistry part between those two changed with the flow of the story, even though only in the friend-zone part.
Still, it was kind of unusual that you are a while into the story before the two guys meant to be meet. Until then it was an excited journey on how a non-celebrity deals with a reality show and the real celebrities.

The idea of the book where Dancing with the Stars meets Broadway was something new to me, interesting and exciting. Woven in this story are topics like dealing with vulnerability, hurt, loss, love and friendship.
Things I love most about this book was the atmospheric writing style, attention to details and the fact that the main characters really talk. Chelsea and Tom (as well as Chelsea and Dominic) have really good and mostly deep conversation. Talking things through. Getting to know each other on a deeper level than “only” sexual. I was fascinated by their honest and open conversations. Even sometimes forced as they also have their “I don’t tell/talk” problems as we already know from other romance books.
However it was really refreshing reading through deeper conversations than I was used to.

I really liked how Chelsea fought for what was important for her. How she dealt with the stones thrown in her way and the confidence with which she held up her head high. It shows the survivor she actually is. Considering how Chelsea develops during the first part of the story the more surprising is it seeing how she falls into this self-conscious girl with trust and abandoning issues. It’s like she transformed into a new person. It’s not that I don’t see where this is all coming from. Seeing her difficult past and all. But where went this self-confident woman we got to know? I was quite disappointed how this part took a turn.

Tom was cute as hell and almost too good to be true. But this somehow made him a little boring and he has no real development during the story. Nice, caring and understanding in the beginning as well as in the end. Nothing changed much.
Nevertheless you feel how deep he fell for Chelsea and that they have great chemistry right from the beginning. And every time they kissed I had butterflies in my stomach. This rarely happens while I read. So Angie really worked magic here. And this unicorn reference! LOVE it!
““You realize, finding the perfect girl is like finding a Unicorn,” he says.” … “Finding a beautiful, smart, funny woman is the impossible trifecta. It’s extremely rare. So rare, it’s like finding a Unicorn.”

Another thing, why I couldn’t give 5 stars, even though I truly enjoyed and loved reading this book, is the abrupt ending. There are so many things that need to be sorted out and I was kind left in the open. I have still so many questions that I really hope there is going to be a second book. Both characters and the upcoming obstacles leave a lot of room for a further going story.

If Ever is beautiful, smart and feisty, a rare love story like the magical unicorn.

Well, that was a terribly sweet romance. Loved it!

I am a big fan of Stanton's YA work, and was so excited when I heard she was writing an adult romance. I can say that her adult work absolutely lives up to the level of her YA books.

Things I liked

Celebrity Dance Off and America's Chance to Dance
Reality shows are kind of my guilty pleasure, and it was a fun twist to have one non-celebrity competing along with (semi)famous people. Stanton did a great job establishing those feelings that I think I would have if I had been in Chelsea's place, and she filled out the show's line up with some really memorable characters. I also thought that Stanton was able to pull me into the world of live TV (and theatre). The experiences felt so real, and I even felt the blood, sweat, tears, and energy of it all through the page.

Chelsea was a great heroine. She was wounded, and had a lot of very valid reasons for these feelings. So, I automatically wanted everything for her. She had to do battle with herself so many times during this book, to combat her feelings of inadequacy that were so rooted deeply in her thinking. I was so proud of her when she overcame some of those obstacles, and really admired her drive while she was competing on the show. She had a long, hard road to travel before she could discover her path to happiness, but I really enjoyed being there with her.

Tom was a such gem. I adored him from the first time he was on-page. He was so loving and patient and full of life. He was beautiful inside and out, and I cannot lie, he totally made me swoon.
"He's like a mirage in a desert, a handsome man with a beautiful heart."

The Romance had all the elements I love. It was sweet, charming, and "sexy-sexy". These two had a connection that burned through the page, and I loved seeing that connection grow and develop into something solid and real. There was so many tender moments that they shared, and I spent a large portion of this book with a huge smile on my face.

Overall: A charming romance which delivered lots of feels and reminded me that everyone deserves a happy ending.

Love Is A Very Splendid Thing

This Book is my first into a glimpse of Angie Stanton. It delves into the world of Broadway and what happens when if you ever let love into your heart.
Chelsea is a new comer, an unknown in the Celebrity Dance Off, because she is neither a celebrity nor a dancer. She will learn with Dominic, they have a rough start.
Tom, a Broadway star who makes her eyes sparkle and sings straight into her heart and soul.
Both Chelsea and Tom embark into the way of love. Through her learning to let anyone in her heart. They both learn on what it is " if ever" you let true love in.

4.5 stars -- I received a free copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.  Though I was delayed in getting to my ARC, so I actually read the copy I purchased instead.

OMG you guys, it didn't take me long into the book before I knew I was going to love this one.  I've loved so many of Ms. Stanton's YA books, and this one felt like Dream Chaser for adults.  I honest to goodness laughed out loud, silently cried, squealed in delight, and last night before bed I got so hyped up that I was singing "Don't Stop Believin" to my husband, and he was cursing my caffeine intake, but it was really just excitement over this book.  And honestly, if it wasn't for the ending, this would have been at least a round up if not a full 5 stars.  The ending is the reason for rounding down.  I'll get to that later, I want to gush first.

I will admit to being a Broadway fan (we always go to at least one show each time we visit NYC), and while I don't watch any of those reality dance shows (b/c I'd always rather be reading), I do love the world of dancing as well...probably b/c I have like no grace or coordination myself (although I did attempt ballroom dance lessons when I was in University).  So this book really was almost tailor-made for me.  But what makes it stand out is not just that these settings were present, but that the author does an amazing job of really making you believe it, and really giving you all the little bits to immerse you into both worlds.

The book is really split into two halves, and the first half is where we're immersed into the world of dancing, and it just made my heart so happy.  It was grueling and exhilarating all at the same time.  I felt how hard Chelsea worked, what a toll it took on her body, and how it really showed a true appreciation for dancing as almost a sport.  I was so concerned with how her relationship started with her dance partner, Dominic, and so was ridiculously pleasantly surprised with how that relationship developed.  It could have gone in a cliche direction, and it didn't.  I LOVED that.  And I adored Chelsea's interactions with Hank.  He was definitely another favourite secondary character.  I really appreciated that her progression through the weeks was believable too.  And I loved how we got to see Chelsea's character really develop and become stronger in this first half.  I was so proud of her when we got to the finale and all the work she put into it.

The second half was about her time in NYC with Tom, and really the development of her romantic relationship with him.  This is where we got to dive into the world of Broadway, and what it's like to be an actor trying to make it work on Broadway.  It honestly opened my eyes to the challenges and rewards of such a career.  And I felt the magic of his performance...I wanted it to be real!  I wanted to see him perform and hear his beautiful voice!  Damn you Ms. Stanton!  Make it real!!  I couldn't hear him sing, but it didn't matter...it felt like I could.  I felt Chelsea's emotions when he finally got Stay right.  It helped me to imagine her dance as well...I felt like I could see it.  It was very emotionally impactful.

Tom was RIDICULOUSLY swoon.  Like, added to my top book boyfriends list swoon.  Like, I had tummy tingles almost from their first interactions.  And he was more of a beta boy, and you know how I love me a beautiful beta boy!!  I loved that he was technically the celebrity, but he was really very down to earth, humble, and at times insecure.  If you couldn't tell, I ADORED him.

I LOVED their romance.  The chemistry was off the charts, and they just made me giddy and happy.  My highlight was definitely Tom's teasing, and the way they would banter with each other.  I can't even describe to you how many times that boy made me laugh.  I loved that we got to watch their romance go through all the stages, from crush to early relationship honeymoon phase to honest struggles and missteps.  My heart hurt for the challenges that they faced, and I thought it was very realistic.

I had a bit more of a rollercoaster ride with Chelsea.  I loved her, and my heart ached for everything she went through in her past, and how it shaped her into the woman she is today.  I really believed it too.  She was hard to read, b/c she was so insecure and damaged and afraid, and self-sabotaging at times.  I think what made her character really hard to read is that in the first half we got to see her really develop and become stronger, and I was rooting for her all the way.  But in the second half we saw her fall and fall hard.  That's hard to take.

And this is where my rounding down comes into play: I wasn't satisfied with how the book ended with her character.  She fell, and we really didn't get to see her climb back up and become strong on her own again.  I needed to believe that she was going to be OK, that she was getting stronger, and without Tom.  I didn't want her strength to be completely dependent on Tom.  It wasn't enough to ruin the book, it just bummed me out a bit.

And honestly?  The ending was extremely abrupt.  Like turn the page and do a double take when it's the note from the author and not an epilogue.  I'm always a sucker for an epilogue, but I really felt that this book needed one.

So, as seems to be the case with me lately, there is my short novella of a review.  While the ending wasn't as satisfying as I wanted, it was really a small blip on what was an otherwise perfect book for me.  I'm so happy right now, and don't even want to read another book, I just want to bask.

For me, this book dragged on! It took forever to get to the actual romance part because it was more about the dancing. Chelsea Barnes was picked to be on a "Dancing with the Stars" TV Show. Except she is not famous, She was just picked on random because they needed a replacement so they with a no name college kid who just lucked out. Her partner isn't happy with her, she hates being on the show.... At first I thought her romance was going to be with the partner. But, nope. It dragged until we finally met the hero of the book.

British guest singer, Broadway star Thomas Evan Oliver is the other half to this romance. The problem is, he loves in NYC and her LA. They fall in love right away and it is a little cheesy. Towards the end I skimmed to see what happened because I failed to care enough to follow it through.

If ever LA had a love affair with NYC, this is what it would be like.

On a dare, Chelsea Barnes has landed a spot on a reality TV celebrity dance competition only Chelsea is not a dancer and she’s not a celebrity. She’s a marketing stunt for ratings. No one on the show takes her seriously which only sparks her determination to make a respectable showing. When she manages to eke by the first few rounds, her grumpy professional dance partner finally gets his head out of his phone and realizes they may actually have a chance at doing well. He lets Chelsea chose her own music for the next set, an emotional piece that expresses her fears of abandonment, and surprises her by arranging for the Broadway musical star, Tom Oliver, to come in person to perform the song. She impresses her partner and the judges, and the viewers at home fall in love with “the girl next door.” Tom Oliver falls fast and hard for the spirited dancer Chelsea. Only he’s got a non-stop life on stage in New York and she’s on the other side of the country in front of cameras 24/7. How can this possibly work?

Angie Stanton immerses her readers in the crazy world of reality TV and then tosses them in front of the dazzling lights of a Broadway stage. She infuses the action, tension, and dialogue with plenty of humor. The lovers she’s created are an unlikely pair who discover they are perfectly matched. Stanton reminds us that love is not easy and making a life together is even more difficult. “If ever” Tom and Chelsea can let go of their past and embrace each other, they can hold on to their future. Readers will love falling in love with Chelsea and Tom.

Note: This is an adult novel but I would call the heat level “Sweet Passion.”

Angie Stanton is my favorite YA author and an amazing storyteller and terrific writer. Once again she comes through with a sweet, engaging, and fresh story about love against all odds. I loved the unique situation Chelsea finds herself in at the beginning of the story, which leads her to meet the talented and sexy charmer, Tom. And the story only gets better from there. This is a must read for fans of romance, "Dancing with the Stars" and Broadway theater. I loved it!

From Chelsea's first awkward moments on "Celebrity Dance Off" she's the girl you're rooting for--even more so when you learn her tragic family story. Mix in a cast of well-developed characters who you either love or love to hate and you have a book that you won't be able to put down. The author skillfully takes her readers on a well-described journey from the TV sets of LA to backstage at a Broadway theater, wrapping these unique details in a lovely romantic tale.

In If Ever, Angie Stanton bridges two worlds together - reality tv and Broadway. I myself occasionally watch reality tv shows and I've seen some off Broadway shows so it's nice to go behind the scenes to find stories there.

Chelsea Barnes wins the chance of a lifetime when she is picked as a contestant on Celebrity Dance Off. She had previously quit her job and was dumped by her boyfriend so doing something like this should help her break free of her old self. Except that the show is more than she bargained for. She feels completely out of her depth as far are her dancing skills are concerned. Her hottie of a dance partner, Dominic isn't making things any easier with his gruff attitude towards her. Yet this is Chelsea and even if she is an outsider amongst all the celebrities, she'll work through her insecurities and make something of this cazy, unbelievable moment in her life. When Broadway performer, Tom Oliver is invited to come on the show to sing one of Chelsea's favourite songs during her dance number, he's not expecting to be meet anyone. It's a one-off opportunity to bring his current Broadway musical to the national spotlight. But Chelsea is different and he likes that. They do the long distance thing for a while, a few visits here and there but neither knows what's happening for them in the long run.

As with other of Stanton's books I've read before, her romances are always charming. Both Chelsea and Tom are at a crossroads in their careers, attempting to figure out exactly what they want their next step to be. Her stint on Celebrity Dance Off gave Chelsea the confidence that she can conquer anything and Tom finds inspiration in that. It's the "what's next for them" question that's temporarily tripping them up. There's some magic time thrown in but it's mostly a syrupy sweet, cozy read that we yearn for every once in a while. I can always count on Angie Stanton for that and if what you need right now is a fairytale romance and to know that everything will fall into place, then If Ever should be your next read!

I really liked the idea of this book which was pretty much Dancing with the Stars (or Strictly Come Dancing for us Brits) meets Broadway. For me the first half of the book was definitely more appealing, I really enjoyed the Chelsea we saw when she was first picked for the show and her attitude but I felt as the book went on she lost this a bit and became quite unsure of herself. I loved Dominic, he was cocky and confident and knew how to push Chelsea. I liked Tom aswell but found he was could have done with being a bit less nice, he didn’t have much charisma which made him a bit dull at times.
I found the book enjoyable but it just didn’t pull me in as much as I had hoped.

This is my first book by Angie Stanton and I really enjoyed it!

I was drawn to it because Dancing with the Stars is one of my favorite TV shows. The story had enough dance content and bts-action to thrill my reality-tv-junkie heart. Add to the fact that Tom, the H, is a Broadway star and I was in romance-fairy-tale heaven! ❤️

I liked both the MC's and breezed through this book. I only wish there had been an epilogue because the way the book ends is not enough. I want more of Tom and Chelsea!

This is a book that I can definitely re-read.

If Ever is a quick, cute, and romantic read that deals with vulnerability, old wounds, and how we sometimes unintentionally hurt the ones we love. The beginning half was by far my favorite - I loved the reality dance show component and the exchanges between Chelsea and Dominic, her dance partner. I was also very taken with Tom when he entered the picture. Overall, I found this to be a sweet romance and touching story.

This was a fun read.

Here, we meet Chelsea, entering a dance TV show. She’s the only non-celebrity, so she really feels out of place, but as the days pass and she gets more comfortable, she learns a lot and is even making some friends.

In this, she meets Tom, a Broadway star. At first, things looks difficult for them, since they live in opposite sides of the country, but with a little bit of effort they are able to manage it.

I liked Chelsea, she was a tough cookie, although at times I felt she whined a little too much; but once she put her big girl panties, she wasn’t so bad.

There were many ups and downs for these two, some drama here and there and all around an entertaining read.

If you are looking for a fun and sweet love story this is it!

Chelsea is participating on a celebrity dance show as "America's Choice". She meets Tom, who is a Broadway star, when he appears as a guest on the show to perform the song she is using for her dance.

There is instant attraction between the two, and they begin a long distance romance, until the season of the celebrity dance show ends. Chelsea then moves to New York and begins a real relationship with Tom.

Chelsea and Tom are very much in love with each other, but they each need to learn how to develop their new relationship as they learn about each other.

Both of them definitely have issues that they need to work through, and we see that throughout the story.

If you are looking for a fun, sweet, easy read, then If Ever is for you!!!

If Ever is the first book I have read by Angie Stanton, and I was pleasantly surprised. I was immediately sucked into Chelsea and Tom’s world. Even though this isn’t my normal kind of read, I really enjoyed it. With both Dancing with the Stars and Broadway feels, it is the perfect story of how love mends.

I look forward to reading more from the author.

If Ever is a sweet romance set in the world of both reality television and Broadway. Chelsea is such a damaged soul, abandoned by her father and orphaned as a teenager. Even though she doesn't see herself as a survivor, she definitely is -- and thanks to Broadway star Tom Oliver, she begins to heal her scarred heart and live again, rather than just exist.

Because of her past, Tom is so very patient with Chelsea, and I found that incredibly endearing. Even when he was frustrated, he was understanding. There were parts of the story that I felt dragged a bit, and that Chelsea and Tom had the same argument/disagreement one time too many. The romance between the two characters is a slow burn -- they most definitely don't jump into bed together at the first opportunity, which was rather refreshing to read. And their sexcapades is not a primary focus of the story, either; Stanton really focuses on the relationship between Chelsea and Tom, how they operate together and apart, and the life they are building.

My only complaint is the rather abrupt ending. I turned the page, sure that I was missing something! I couldn't believe that was it! But overall, If Ever is a sweet romance that shows how love and patience can heal, and the right person can pick you up and carry you through life's hard times.

This was my first book by Angie Stanton. I was genuinely pleased. The characters and setting were well thought out. At times the story felt a little dragged out but then would pick back up. I really wanted to know more of the story about Chelsea's father. I was left with a lot of questions. Especially concerning the release of her trust fund.

Chelsea broke my heart quite a few times. My heart hurt for her and what her life had been like. Tom, sweet sweet Tom. He showed her the love she needed. Dominic wasn't my favorite at first but he grew on me.

All in all a sweet story that shows love really does exist and can always heal the broken. I received an advanced Reader Copy for an honest review.

I am a huge Strictly come dancing (BBC dancing show) so I jumped at the opportunity to read this book. Being my first read by the author, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I lovythe book!
The plot was one I haven't read before so I was very excited. The book did not disappoint. After reading the blurb, I expected a typical romance read. But this was so much more. I have to admit I shed a few tears whilst reading it.
The two main characters were just so sweet. I absolutely adored Tom! What can I say, I'm a sucker for a decent celebrity.
I loved the writing style on the book, the author kept me engaged from the first page until the very last.
I'm delighted to have read this book and I highly recommend it!

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC version of this book. My opinions are mine and truthful.*

This book was great!!! Chelsea is a normal girl with a tragic past. Tom is a cool guy who is a Broadway star. Right from the start, I felt their chemistry. I felt Chelsea's pain and Tom was there for her every step of this way. This story came together perfectly and I love their love story. It was beautiful and I teared up quite a bit, especially at the end. I really wasn't ready for the book to end. This is a book that I'd read again. This was also my first book by Angie Stanton, and I'll be reading every book by her from now on.

Um Wow. I really loved this book. It was great. It felt real. So much of romance novels feel so fake and impossibly cute but this book felt a lot like real life. It showed a real relationship and a young woman working through her fears. It had cute ups and sad downs- all which make you fall in love with the characters and their story.

The ending was a bit rushed and strange, and I wish we’d gotten more of Dominic after their show ended, but other than that I enjoyed it. I’d love to see a spin-off with Dominic, including some cheeky engagement antics with Tom and Chelsea.
