    This was an enjoyable read that is the first in a series of connected characters.

    Alex is a man tortured by his past and the decisions he made. Through flashbacks we see what made Alex that man we meet, he’s closed off emotionally and just generally drifting through his life.

    Ella is the sister of a successful film star, she’s young and has a reputation for being impulsive who trouble follows her. I liked Ella she’s funny has more backbone than people realise and underneath the facade she presents she’s a strong young woman.

    I liked the story it has a good mix of fun drama and sexual chemistry, I felt at times the dialogue was a little corny but it was still enjoyable.

    You aren't meant to fall for your bodyguard, but sometimes these things just happen. Just like Alex and Ella's first encounter was before she knew who he was.

    The one night stand was meant to be just that, but the more time they spend together the more they realise that the forbidden relationship is that forbidden after all and might just be worth the risk.

    Ella is moving on from her party girl past and ends up in New York hoping to move forward into opening up a boutique and avoid relationships, while Alex has just ended a relationship where it's left him questioning himself, so he decides one night stands are all he's interested in.

    However, the chemistry is off the charts and it's something Alex and Ella cannot deny, no matter how hard they try. I loved this bodyguard love story.

    This was a really good read, it hooked me in from page one and turned out to be a real page turner. The characters were well written and I didn't feel that it was part of a series at all. I haven't read any of this author's work before but I will definitely find time to read the series that this book comes from now.
    I loved the main characters, Alex and Ella and I really did bond with them. Alex is a real alpha male, all protective and dominant - #swoon but then I suppose he would be, being that he owns a security company and has been hired to be Ella's bodyguard!
    They meet totally randomly and have an anonymous one night stand- no name, no number. Ella leaves before he wakes and then they discover he is hired by her movie star brother to be her bodyguard! He is a bit of a 'runner' though. I was a bit exasperated with him a couple of times as it is so obvious to everyone but him that he runs from his problems. He's had a couple of GOOD reasons to run away from.
    Ella is a self-assured, accomplished woman and she can fit in with the best of the elite and the general public, having an actor for a brother has her mixing with lots of affluent people, but she has a bit of a murky past and needs to be watched.
    These two are made for each other. There's some good drama awaiting you in this book too.
    The other characters were a delight and you can add a couple of slime balls who you just want to punch (and not in the face either). From the very first pages in the book you fall in love with Alex and are heartbroken for him too.
    Great story, with an great ending that was perfect and left you feeling good.
    Btw, Alex is super sexy and great in bed! Oh yeah! HOT!

    Christy was a new author for me when I started Bound to Me, after reading it she has won a new follower. I found this book to be extremely difficult to put down, I loved the forbidden aspect of Ella and Alex's relationship. His job was to protect her, but it became personal even when they have everything going against them. Christy is a fantastic writer, this book is so well written, the characters had amazing chemistry. I couldn't get enough of it. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

    This was a good quick favorite read of mine. I totally loved this book! I picked this up free on Amazon and read it in just a couple of days. This book had everything one could want in a book. After reading the first few pages I was hooked. I loved the story of Alex and Ella. It was beautifully written that pulled on the heart strings. I like the forbidden aspect of this book, maybe not so much forbidden but Ella being off limits to Alex. I think the book had sweet and steamy scenes that were done tastefully wasn't over the top or obnoxious. I enjoyed the friendship between the couples and the characters that were introduced that would be in the next two books. I liked that it flowed well, it was a good story that I was very into and kept me reading. I was hooked immediately after the first few pages and I really enjoy the Christy's writing. I felt connected with the characters, I got the jokes, and the "Friends" references. This was a good page turner and I was left in suspense in a few chapters. I had keep reading to find out what happens. I am glad I was able grab this from Amazon because it was so worth it!

    Christy is a new author to me and this story is a great introduction. She gives us two characters who are trying to reinvent themselves. Alex is ex elite military and now had his own private security company. He lost someone on his last mission and hasn't been able to get past the grief. He hides behind work and women. When we meet him he is drowning in the darkness he thinks he created, but he meets Ella that night and its an intense moment for them both. Ella is in the states looking for a property to open get second store when she has one night with Alex. What they didn't expect was to see each other again. Alex is tasked with being Ella 's bodyguard. This is a moment where they either fight the chemistry or give in. What do you think they will do when they have to see each other everyday?

    Bound to me is about two people finding their way to a second chance with a little action thrown in too. I love the storyline but it slows down toward the middle. Alex is alpha, funny, sexy, protective but he swims in guilt. Ella is sweet, funny, and has a beautiful heart. Together they are intense but Alex can't see through the past to give them a future. Ella's strength is the key to helping them through and I love them both. Great story if you are looking for a new series to sink you teeth into.
