- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2017Well I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book after the epic ending in Savage and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Loved this duet of books. The twists and turns in this along with all the emotions was fab. Love Alexander and Sara Jane. Their connection is off the charts. Oh and Jason, he's a mystery. Can't wait to read his book and find out his story. Definitely recommend x
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2017If the first book, Savage, took you to an emotional roller-coaster, this second book will definitely up that ante! Get ready for more heart-ache, more tears, more action, more allies and more secrets to unravel! I can't get enough of Sarah Jane and Alexander!!!
I can't wait to get my hands on more stories from Ms. Scott, the waiting is definitely worth it!!
I was provided a copy for review purposes.

I loved Savage, part 1 of The Kingwood Duet, so had eagerly awaited the conclusion. I did enjoy the book but it for me it just didn't hit the mark in the same way that book #1 did. It is worth reading if you have started the series. It can not be read as a stand alone book.
This felt like a box of muesli, where all the good bits had settled to the bottom of the box (or in this case were in the last third of the book). The first third seemed to be an endless round of Alex navel gazing and moping around stuck on a loop of 'I'm so dark and bad'. Well I hate to tell you Alex but to me you came across as one self-obsessed, immature little boy who was only playing at being 'bad'.
OK Alex/King had shot and killed O'Hare at the end of book 1, but this was a knee-jerk response to seeing Sara Jane bleeding to death in front of him. In book 1 the intrigue over his absences and his father's power plays and evil behaviour did fill the book with suspense .... and this was the darkness I felt he dragged Sara Jane into. So come on Alex - what exactly have you done to make you such a kick-a$$ bad boy?
Thankfully by the middle of the book the pace had picked up a little bit - although I got annoyed that despite all that tragedy and loss of life Alex still put chasing an impossible dream ahead of those he loved. And I'm sorry but I got very tired of all the introspection - especially when it just repeated around the same few themes of 'deserving' people, of 'letting people go' and of 'destiny and fate'.
The last third of the book was where all the good bits of the muesli box had ended up - it had enough action and story for the entire book!!!!! Sadly it felt rushed, parts were glossed over and loose ends were left. Neely's involvement was so very vaguely hinted at and totally unexplained. The whole April story line felt underdeveloped and the big plot twist at the end felt a little cliched and forced. It was a book full of very good ideas but one that just didn't quite merge into the tapestry of an amazing story.
It sounds like I hated the book, I didn't. I actually enjoyed most of the book, once the action started, and the story picked up, I was engaged with it and wanting to reach the conclusion.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2017What can I say, I waited for the conclusion to Savage and expected great things and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Savior was an emotional roller coaster ride from the very first page and the perfect conclusion to this fabulous duet. I expected twists in the story and got them. I expected lots of angst and yeah, got that too. Can Alexander and Sara Jane's love for each other conquer all? You will need to read this book to find out and you won't be disappointed choosing to read this. Please read Savage before Savior though as the books need to be read in order and you are missing out on a treat by not reading Savage too.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2017Well the second part of this duet will certainly keep you on your toes. With the ending of the first part I was desperate to know what would happen.
This book was exciting and I loved it.
The Kingswood name is definitely not an easy one to be associated with. The family has more than its fair share of secrets.
Alexander Kingswood is still after the truth. He thinks he has people on his side, but who can he trust?
With what happened to Sara Jane and Chad his whole world hangs in the balance.
This book is full of twists I didn't expect. It was gripping and I kept turning the pages dying to see how it'd plan out.
I had a few surprises that's for sure.
The one thing I loved about this duet was the connection between Alex and Sara his Firefly. I never once doubted his love for her to me theirs is a love of Epic proportions.
This is a fantastic Duet and I highly recommend you give it a read, you won't regret it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2017The end of Savage gutted me my heart and soul hurt for Alexander I just couldn't wait to get my hands on this but I was anxious.
It's so hard to not put spoilers in this review because everything i could tell you is a possible spoiler. Be prepared for the unexpected there are secrets huge secrets and twists that I never would have guessed in a million years.
My heart was pounding in hope and fear, I loved book one but this one was more emotional. The author has managed to convey every single emotion all the characters are feeling. I laughed I cried, I smiled I swooned, at times I forgot to breath such was the intensity of this book.
A fantastic conclusion to this duet, now my search is on to find a King to love me with such devotion ❤️

5.0 out of 5 stars A Love To Reign Supreme
Where do I start?
SL Scott has given us the most captivating conclusions to The Kingwood Duet with Savior. I was left in a total tailspin at the end of Savage. The 'OMG it can't end like this' ending had me ready to pull my hair out and throw my kindle. I have been waiting for the conclusion for what feels like a lifetime and OMG, what a way to finish The Kingsood Duet.
Savior picks up where Savage ended and you will instantly be transported back to that gut wrenching moment where Sara Jane's life hangs in balance and your screaming at her to hang on. All the questions you had after Savage will be answered. Twists and turns you didn't see coming will have you reeling - greed, lies and deceit at the forefront. The unconditional love and loyalty, hopes and dreams of the bad boy and his firefly that we fell in love with will be tried and tested.
This book is intense, heartbreaking, all consuming and totally amazing. The emotional roller coaster ride will leave you gasping for breath and wanting more at the same time. I have no doubt that anyone one who reads this stunning duet will have a massive book hangover by the end of it. This is one series you seriously need to read.
My praise for SL Scott is endless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and suspensful story that will consume you!
Savior is the amazing conclusion of The Kingwood Duet by S.L. Scott. At the end of Savage everything seems lost. Who will survive and how will it all end? SL Scott gave us a journey that will leave you at the very edge of your seat from start to finish.
Alexander and Sara Jane share a love that transcends reason. Together they are stronger then when they are apart. But so much more is happening around them that they are not aware off. Who can they really trust and how will it all end?
Sara Jane loves Alexander more then she understands. All she knows is home is where he is. But Sara Jane has insecurities that plague her. She does not see the strength in herself others see. She is beautiful, strong, loyal and so caring and loving. I loved seeing her growth and confidence grow throughout this story.
Alexander Kingwood the IV is searching for answers. But are the answers worth the cost? His mother’s death has eaten at him for years. He needs to know what happened, but now what matters most to him is at risk and he is not sure he can protect it. I loved Alexander. He was flawed and lost at times, a damaged man Sara Jane called him, but he was so strong and determined. His love for Sara Jane knows no bounds.
Can Alexander protect those he loves in his quests for answers? Will Sara Jane live or die? Their journey is full of obstacles that continue to stack up against them. Is their love, as strong as it is, enough to survive what is yet to come? This story is full of twists and turns you will not know which way is up until the very end.
I have read most of what S.L. Scott has written and she quickly became a must-read author for me. I love her writing, her stories and her characters. She has a way of consuming her readers with each book she writes. The Kingwood duet is so different than anything she has ever written before and it is beautiful, suspenseful and full of all the feels.
I cannot express how much I have enjoyed reading The Kingwood Duet by S.L. Scott. The journey is gut-wrenching, but it is also full of hope. The love shared between Alexander and Sara Jane is strong and powerful. This is a beautiful story that will draw you in. I loved the story and the characters and cannot wait to read what’s next!
Happy reading!

Wow!! Mind blowing!! Amazing! Heart wrenching! Beautiful!! Intriguing!! All these words can be used to describe the second half of this phenomenal duet!! S.L. Scott is on fire with her writing and storytelling ability! Absolutely fantastic!! The story between Alexander and Sara Jane is dark and raw and brutal but it's all beautiful and real and truthful.

4.0 out of 5 stars an exciting, heart stopping, suspenseful ride the entire way through.
Savior, the pulse pounding follow up to Savage, the first book in the Kingwood duet, is as as much a tumultuous roller coaster of emotion as it is a suspenseful journey of violence, deceit and treachery. With twists and turns on every page, jaw dropping revelations at every turn, and moments so beautifully romantic they took my breath away, Savior was a perfectly chaotic sequel and I enjoyed every second.
This storyline is such a change of pace for SL Scott and I so enjoyed that. I never knew what to expect, the uncertainty and the long buried secrets kept coming until the very last page. This book was infuriating and sexy and twisted and I devoured it in one sitting. I love a story where a happy ending seems impossible, where the darkness and tragedy seem to outweigh the good. Stories like this make you feel so much, keeping the reader at the edge of their seat from beginning to end and Savior certainly did that for me.
The love story between Alexander Kingwood and Sara Jane Grayson is an exciting, heart stopping, suspenseful ride the entire way through. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this duet is a step outside the box for me. I let go of everything and just allowed this storyline to take me away. And it did. Once again, I was lost in the secrets and the lies and the decadent pleasure pain of not knowing how this would end. I embraced the chaos, this strange marriage between a Victorian romance novel and a modern day angsty contemporary love story. Somehow SL Scott just makes it all work. This satisfying sequel was the perfect way to round out this storyline and now I can't wait for Jason's story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Expect to be surprised.
When the tables have turned and Alex needs to rely on someone else to save the day, who can he rely on? His best friend? His Firefly? Who comes to his rescue? Not who you expect, that's for dame sure!!!
