The highly anticipated second part to Balance is finally here.
When everything hangs in the balance, would you do all that you could to stop it from crumbling down around you? Would you ruin lives? Separate lovers? Lie? Cheat? Kill? The age old fight between light and dark rages on, while the innocent are caught in between. Will love conquer all? Or will one fallen angel's love for a simple mortal destroy the world?
Janelle Stalder was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario. At an early age she developed a love for literature. Her debut novel, Eden, was the first book in a series of four, released in September of 2011. Since then she has released an Adult Dystopian Romance series, the New World Series, hitting the best sellers list on Amazon. She has also released a Mature YA/NA novel, Brush Strokes, that stayed on the best sellers list for contemporary romance for sixteen straight weeks. She is a strong supporter of other independent authors and loves to interact with her readers.
Of course I loved this book...like I would expect anything less from Janelle??
Gah! I do not even know what to say because I do not want to give ANYTHING away! Ms. Stalder did a fantastic job of not giving out ANY info with her blurb for this book so you...the reader...have zero idea of what you are walking into and can I tell you that it is a big doozy!!!!
I can tell you that I loved this book as much as the first. I fell in love with a certain character all over again. Was very annoyed with another, and my heart broke for a third. The story continues with action, drama and heart ache. All of the special things that we adore Janelle for giving us.
The ending gave me a huge slap upside the head...(another reason why we keep going back to the author's writing) that I am once again left waiting on the next installment. Damn you authors for being so brilliant! LOL! Love you Janelle!
I enjoyed this one The beginning was a little confusing but eventually sorted itself out I don't like Artem I love Cillian, Collin and Caleb... Janelle, do you have think for guys with the name beginning with C... Apparently I do 😂 It was a little touch and go there for a while and I was dying to know when the big reveal would be... I was a little disappointed that it was the epilogue but its not surprising Vi was such a wimp in this one... Stay here or you'll put me in danger... Ok... Then let's run right into danger putting every one in dnager... Why can't the stupid heroine just stay put for a change? Wasn't surprised about Kellan or Dermot Would have liked to learned more about Xavier - shame it was such a short chapter 😔

I read the first book a while back so I don’t remember much of it. I finally picked thiscbe up and got into it pretty quickly. I must say I feel bad for Caleb and Vivian and all they go through. I don’t like Artem very much and he’s suppose to be one of the good guys. I liked Catherine and how she was with Vivian. Ending was not what I was expecting. I expected a cliffhanger that led to another book but not what happens to Caleb and Vivian. At least I’m happy for what happen to Kellan. I would recommend this series. I have to dive into book three soon. Really good books so far.
4.5 stars!!! Loved these books & would of gave 5 stars except for that ending. 😣 I’m all for reality but when it boils down to it, I love my HEA’s. Hoping the author redeems herald for me with the next books.
It's not surprise to anyone who knows me how much I adore Janelle Stalder's books. I have devoured every single one of them and I am always left dying to read more. Poise was no different. I was so excited for this book after I absolutely adored Balance, the first instalment of this series. Poise was so incredible and definitely a must-read.
To be honest, I found Poise a little more on the slow side than Balance. I am such a huge fan of Vivian and Caleb and to find them apart (as it expected from the ending of Balance) just broke me. I wanted them together so much and with the flashback to the past in the beginning of this book I just found it took me a little longer to get into it than any of the other Janelle books. That's not to say that it's bad because once I got into it I couldn't put the damn thing down.
I completely devoured Poise and couldn't read it fast enough. I love the characters in this series so much and I am so emotionally invested in this series it's unreal. The whole thing had me on tenter hooks dying to find out what was going to happen. The ending totally broke me and I am so heartbroken. I need the third book like yesterday!
Poise was the perfect sequel to Balance and I cannot wait for the third book of this amazing trilogy to release. I know it will be utterly perfect. If you haven't read this series yet then I highly recommend that you do.
