Taylor Delaney is the love of my life.
She’s also the one I've hurt the most.
Two years ago, I made a disastrous mistake.
One I’m not sure I can make amends from.
But I have to try, because I’m nothing without her.
Brad Ashby's here, in my hometown, asking for a second chance.
All those unresolved feelings for him have resurfaced.
Not that they ever went away.
I know I should run him out of the town, but I can’t.
He needs to know that I wasn’t the only one who was deceived.
Even if we gave our relationship another try, how can we rebuild what’s been destroyed? If we weren’t strong enough then, what makes us strong enough now?

About the author

Michelle Lynn is a USA Today Bestselling Author. She moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn't reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around two preschools all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.

Brad and Taylor were together during college until Brads dreams of the Olympics died along with his relationship with Taylor. This book is set years later, when Brad finally decides to go after Taylor and get what he wants. But what he finds leaves him in shock.
I was really excited to read this book after meeting Brad and Taylor in Love Surfaced. I read it straight after and couldn't put it down. There was everything I loved from a Michelle Lynn novel. I wasn't a big fan of Brad in Love Surfaced but reading his own book made me love him completely. He goes after what he wants. And as for Taylor, there isn't anyone who couldn't love her after everything that's happened.
I loved this book, possibly more than the first in the series. I really hope there are more books in the series as I'm really not ready for it to end yet. Another 5 star read from Michelle Lynn.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 February 2016An all consuming, emotive read about second chance love, that I literally did not want to put down from start to finish. I knew from reading the opening page that my heart was in for a bumpy ride, I was just hoping it would survive...
Taylor and Brad were dating in college, when Brads Olympic dream was ended he turned to drink and drugs. His life spiraled out of control, resulting in him be so out of it that he ends up cheating on Taylor, Taylor happens to walk in on it, fast forward two years and and Love Rekindled picks up their story.
Brad Ashby's here, in my hometown, asking for a second chance. All those unresolved feelings for him have resurfaced. Not that they ever went away. I know I should run him out of the town, but I can’t. He needs to know that I wasn’t the only one who was deceived.
Taylor Delaney is the love of my life. She’s also the one I've hurt the most. Two years ago, I made a disastrous mistake. One I’m not sure I can make amends from. But I have to try, because I’m nothing without her.
Will they be able to give their relationship another go? Can Brad rebuild the trust he destroyed? Can Taylor forgive and move past all the unresolved issues she has?
I have to say that this story hit me emotionally on so many levels, I don't want to divulge certain parts of the plot as I feel you need to read them without having it spoilt but all I will say is the thoughts and feelings that Taylor has throughout resonated on such a personal level that at times it made for difficult reading but that in it's self is a testament to the author. I didn't just read their story I felt it. As for Brad I wanted to dislike him for what he had done previously I really did, but I just couldn't.
This is the second book in the Love Resurfaced Series, something I did not know until I was part way through, however that being said it didn't hinder my reading experience as there was enough of their previous background covered. I have since purchased the first book in the series and can't wait to read it.
Would highly recommend to readers who enjoy second chance romance reads.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 February 2016When I requested this from Netgalley, I didn't realise there had been a previous book about Brad's sister and his best friend. I'm presuming a lot of Brad and Taylor's history was mentioned in that book as in this book, we only get brief flashbacks of their relationship. I feel the author wrote this book assuming all her readers would have read the previous book. Therefore, I didn't really believe in the great love that Brad and Taylor were supposed to have for one another. It sounded more like a College romance. We weren't told how long their previous relationship lasted but considering it was written as if it was some great love story, I found it odd later in the story that she had never met his parents and he didn't know the history with her father and sister.
The storyline is not original. She caught him having sex with another girl just as she was about to tell him she was pregnant. She then left town and didn't tell him he was a father. Brad went through a bad time and had turned to drugs etc but now he's sorted himself out and it's two years later and he tracks Taylor down to tell her he's still in love with her. He soon learn he's a father but there is no angst in this story. He accepts it and doesn't get angry and the next day she's allowing him to look after their daughter by himself. They just fall back into a relationship and everything is hunky dory!
As for Taylor...well she is a feeble heroine. Not only did she catch Brad having sex with another woman, she then found out that he had got engaged to another girl and was to be married (I believe that plotline was part of the first book). Yet the minute he's back in her life, she forgives him instantly and trusts him instantly. It just didn't ring true for me. Also, I didn't like the way she just dumped her friend Sam who had been there for her the last two years but because Brad wasn't happy about him, she was happy for Sam not to be in her and her daughter's life anymore.
This was a sweet, second chance romance with no angst. It became a bit boring three quarters of the way through...possibly setting up storylines for future characters in this series. For me though, it read a bit like a YA romance. The characters came across like kids when in fact they were mid twenties.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 February 2016I enjoyed this story, loved how strong Taylor's character was and as for Brad I liked how he overcame really difficult circumstances in his life to make himself a better person.
Overall this was a sweet romance about two individuals that find their way back to each other after being apart due to mistakes. There was heartache in this book but it was not full of angst.
It's best to read the first book Love Surfaced to understand some of the background to Taylor and Brad.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lack of editing was distracting. Nice that is could be read stand alone. Was ok
I have to say the book was just okay. There was too much lack of editing. There were spelling mistakes, joining words missing, and sentences which did not make sense due to different tenses being used. This took away from the book to a degree. I also just was not a fan of Brad in the first book and found his character lacking something throughout this book as well. Having raised my own children and been around kids forever, I also found Em to be a spoiled brat by the end of the book with adults who had no control. I also found that the thoughts behind her sentences were too mature for a child her age, yet she seemed not advanced enough at other times with the making strange. I like the second chance concept of this book and that it can be read as a stand alone novel. Unfortunately it did not hold my interest as I hoped it would. I was hoping something about Sam would be mentioned later on in the book. I will give the next book a chance to hopefully finish the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heart Warming
This is a heart warming second chance romance. The characters, Brad and Taylor, were introduced to us in the book Love Unsurfaced. I would suggest you read the first book before this one to understand who Brad is, but if you haven't read it, I think you will be ok. I have to admit that I didn't like Brad by the end of the first book about Tanner and Piper (Brad's sister). However, Michelle Lynn shows us that Brad is a changed person by making amends. Brad lost Taylor in book one after doing some stupid things. He wants to find her and get her back. He never stopped loving her. Now, he just has to prove himself. I found that while reading this book, I was calm and happy. I rooted for their love. I loved the scene inside of Target with Brad and Em. He melted my heart right when he sunk to the floor. It was good to see Piper and Tanner as well. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. I hope that there will be more to this series, but I'm not sure. I think I'd like to know more about Dylan and Bea.

4.0 out of 5 stars A perfect second chance romance
This book is a perfect second chance romance that ripped me apart and put me back together!
We met Brad and Taylor in Love Surfaced, and now we get to see Brad realize his mistakes of the past and hope and pray that he can get a second chance with the love of his life. Taylor has changed quite a bit since two years ago when Brad broke her heart and isn't ready to let him back into her life, but some things are just meant to be.
Both of these two have grown a lot since they broke up, but things have definitely changed for them. Brad is in a job he dislikes, and is still upset about not making the Olympics, but none of that matters if he can get Taylor to give him a second chance. Taylor is back in her hometown, a place she swore she would never be, and is a single mother.
When Brad goes after Taylor, things don't necessarily end up how he planned, she runs over his foot and he ends up in a walking boot, so all he can do is hope that the second time he tries it will go better. Taylor hasn't stopped loving Brad, but she's scared to let him in, not just for her sake, but for her daughters as well. She can handle him breaking her heart, but to break Em's? That's out of the question
Seeing how Brad handled the news was amazing, and you could tell he isn't the same guy that ran himself into the ground two years ago. He wants to be better, and he wants Taylor and Em in his life. He knows it's going to take work to prove he's worth it, but he knows it's worth it. Watching Brad figuring out how to take care of Em was quite hilarious. I laughed out loud at the Target mishap, as well as the diaper changes. He may think he's a failure, but he really is a good person and will do anything and everything for the people he loves.
Taylor never stopped loving Brad, but she needs to know this time that he's not going to ruin everything between them. Watching them slowly start to get to know one another was beautiful, and I loved how Taylor and him seemed to pick up where they left off. They are perfect for one another. Taylor wasn't spiteful or mean to Brad (well except running over his foot), and she wanted what was best for her, him, and their daughter.
This story is a beautifully written story that pulled at my heartstrings. I was rooting for these two to make it and get their HEA that they deserved. There were a few ups and downs where I thought Brad was going to run, but in the end he proved how amazing he is and how strong his love is for his family.
This is a beautiful and amazing second chance romance, and a story of redemption. I loved Brad and Taylor's story and am so happy with how things ended for them. Love Rekindled can be read as a stand alone, but to totally understand what happened between them in the past, I suggest reading Love Surfaced (Piper and Tanner's story) first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Chances......A MUST READ!!!!!
I was so excited about this book and couldn't wait to read why Brad and Taylor broke up. Brad messed up in those earlier years and couldn't seem to realize that nothing he did would erase Taylor from his mind or his heart. Taylor was heart broken and ran after Brad shattered her heart; however, even years later she still holds a place in her heart for him.
When Brad finally tracks Taylor down after he realizes he cannot live without her, he finds out that Taylor hasn't been fully honest with him either. In order for them to move forward, which Brad is 100% determined to do, they must each forgive one another for past mistakes. They vow to be honest with each other and to communicate, but will this be enough to move forward?
This book had my emotions all over the place, but I loved every single minute. The author touched on some very sensitive subjects, but she handled them with class and sensitivity.
Thank you Michelle for this amazing story.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was nice to see what happened next.
I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it. I didn't like this one as well, it felt kind of pushed in places and unrealistic. But M.Lynn did an excellent job of making a man out of the lead character. It's hard sometimes from a woman's perspective to really get a grip on what makes a man feel like a man.
