    This was yet again another cracking book by Clarissa! Nix & Vanessa are both very damaged & dangerous people. You know you really shouldn't like them, but you can't help yourself! This is certainly a dark & twisted story, but if you like your books 'darker than the darkest dark thing', then this is a must read! I would definitely recommend this book, but take note of the warnings & don't purchase if you think the content might upset you.

    well that was a roller coaster of a ride with a hell of a lot of bumps in the way!
    It did take me a while to get into the story but once i was in i couldn't put it down.
    Nix is a dreamy bad boy with a heart hidden under all those tats, metal and anger, he's coming for revenge but gets more than he bargained for. I screamed at the kindle a few times and even bad to phone a friend who's read it for a rant, maybe because i felt wrong hating Vanessa who is meant to be the poor little rich girl suffering but i was actually feeling sorry for Phoenix

    This book was dark, delicious seeping with revenge and oh so hot.It is told from dual POV which you all know how much i love and it does jump between the past and present. I did get a teeny bit confused at times with the jumping between past and future as the moments set in the past cover a vast space of time. That is the only reason this book has 4 stars. Otherwise you totally understand the need for revenge, and when it is taken it is dark and sexy and may not be to everyones taste. I have warned you!!!! But for those who love a dark read which Clarissa Wild is amazing at i fully recommend this book. Phoenix (sigh) is a man of many levels and talents :)

    Purtroppo, così come mi accadde con Tarryn Fisher, sono convinta al cento per cento di aver scelto il romanzo sbagliato con cui conoscere questa autrice ▬ e mi dispiace moltissimo :(

    Quando scelsi di acquistare questo libro, ero sicurissima di aver trovato ciò che stavo cercando. Come facevo ad esserne così certa? Facile: l'avvertenza a fine trama. Mi sono detta: "Ahhh, finalmente un'autrice che racconta le storie che piacciono a me!".

    Be', ho commesso un microscopico errore di giudizio xD

    Ho iniziato a storcere il naso non appena ho compreso che si trattava di un Dark Erotic (io preferisco i Dark Contemporary, è risaputo.) Ho fatto una fatica assurda nel comprendere i paragrafi del presente, poiché penso che per riuscirci e godere appieno della storia sia strettamente necessario leggere prima Killer, il prequel.

    E qui la domanda vi sorgerà spontanea: perché non ho letto prima Killer?
    Perché è uscito dopo Stalker ▬ e da quello che mi è parso di capire, l'autrice non ha mai detto che fosse obbligatorio leggere il prequel, prima di approcciarsi al romanzo :/

    Okay, tralasciando questa immensa confusione, c'è stato un altro problema: il titolo. Ora, io non sono una gran cima, ma se intitoli un romanzo Stalker io mi aspetto di trovarmi davanti una storia che parla di stalking.

    Nope, neanche lontanamente.
    Lui evade di prigione.
    Intrappola lei nella sua stessa casa, ingabbiandola come un animale, e finge di giocarci.

    Meh :/
    Ahm... no.

    Unica nota positiva sono state le parti riguardanti l'adolescenza dei protagonisti, diecimila volte più intriganti e sexy del sesso che invece consumano nel presente. Non sto scherzando, ho adorato davvero quei capitoli, tanto che ho sognato che l'intero libro fosse solo su loro due da piccoli...

    Ciononostante non voglio arrendermi con questa autrice ▬ infatti, non voglio portarmi sfiga da sola, ma ho il sentore che quando andrò a leggere Snare poi scriverò una recensione decisamente diversa da questa =)

    This book is wild. This book has plenty of secrets, and it is so dark, that it immediately draws you in to finding out its secrets.

    This is such a dark, twisted, sensual story about a hit man and the wife of the man who is dead. There is so many secrets and a past between Phoenix and Vanessa that , as the reader, you think maybe is dead but as you are reading, can start to tell, is not dead, is very much alive and is breathing ,pulsing great big gulps of life.
    As the reader, we get to see the past in this book and OMG, I didn’t know how connected the MC were to each other but I do now. Phoenix isn’t just out for Vanessa, he is out for some revenge and if in the process he ends up hurting Vanessa and shedding her blood, oh well, he is ok with that. He more or less ends up spiriting Vanessa away and they take this crazy trip and on this trip they take a trip down memory lane. I swear, there was a time or two I literally jumped out of my seat because the psychological torture by Phoenix is soo intense yet Vanessa got a few verbal hits in at times. I felt for Vanessa , because she got a raw deal and she did the best she could with the hand she was dealt.
    There are many MANY dirty, dark, sexual twists and turns In this story up until the very end. I really enjoyed this story. I know I would have liked a few characters to have something done to them but maybe a follow-up or something down the road. Who knows.. I know that Phoenix and Vanessa are a match made for each other. They should have been together years ago so this is a great 2nd chance love story, albeit a bit of a twisted one.,

    This is a story full of surprise, secrets that pulls you in as the dark side takes over making you want to find out all you can of these characters and their demons. Wilder sure puts the twists on in this twisted dark story of a hit man and the wife of the man who died. The author takes you from present to past and back again as you are left holding your breath waiting to see what happens next.

    One is out for revenge going through Vanessa to get it if she gets hurt oh well no big deal. Revenge is going to be so sweet. As they take a walk down memory lane we see the torture that Phoenix dishes out it will bring chills down your spine. Vanessa is a survivor she does the best with the hand she is given she will stand the test of time and hope to come out even. My heart really went out to her. This is a very dark, dirty, with sexual twist that just keep coming until the end. Just when you think nothing more can happen the author shows you just how many twists she can spin.

    This is a story that I totally enjoyed I loved the secrets along with all the twist and turns the author gives us. There are characters here you will like and a few that you won’t that is what makes this so great when an author can really make you dislike so great you would like to get your hands on a few to show them what it is like. I liked the second chance this couple gets there is no doubt these two were made for each other. There will be times you will feel their pain and other times you will be yelling at them. It was a wonderful read I can’t wait for the next one.

    I think story was pretty good. It wasn't as dark as I though it would be but that could have something to do with the book I read before this one and my perception of a dark thriller at this point of time. I liked that the story was told from both point of views and their history was revealed by going back in time throughout the story. It was well written and flowed well. I would recommend it for those who like a good thriller although some people may find triggers in it as it does have some violent scenes in it.

    This book is DARK, so if your of the erotic/romance type of reader this book may not be for you.
    Also it's not a must to read Killer, the prequel, but I would recommend it you get more of a back story of the main characters.
    If you have any read any of CW's books you expect that DARK, twisted, rollercoaster ride throughout the book. Also that hot spark and edge to the characters love/hate. This book DOESN'T disappoint.
    We have Phoenix, he's had a hard life from child hood the whole way through his life, from being picked on and bullied as a child til his teenage years. Until an unexpected run in being at the wrong place, but right time changed all that for him. He became a professional of his trade (you'll have to read to get the twist of all that). He has actually showed even though he don't believe it him self he has a heart and capable of love. He's now on bbf list.
    Then we have Vanessa, (I don't think I have ever had such a love/hate with a character before). She was Nix's only connection to having something real in a time when he needed it the most. She also didn't have it easy growing up, but her actions later, well I'll let you read for yourself. Just when I started to feel the slightest bit of any kind of empathy for her, boom, CW had me wanting to torture her my self. I still question her truths and lies because she played her part so well.
    Any writer that can make you go from one extreme to another like that has the true talent it takes to be a DARK author.
    I defiantly think CW found her place in the DARK world.
    This book is a standalone, but I would love more. I was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
