**3.5 Introducing stars**
Wicked Weekend is a prequel novella to Reckless Nights. It was really short and felt more like a prologue to me. A prologue where we get introduced by our three future heroines; Reagan, Andrea & Natalie.
Three nurses who work the graveyard shift, finally manage to go on a trip to Vegas. With plans to have fun, gamble, flirt and enjoy their days off. Sadly, they lose their luggage at the airport and they need to go shopping before they start their plans for the night.
While on their quest to find clothes they meet James. A very vivid person who convinces them to follow him in a shop where they can find what they had been looking for. He tells them that he's a personal assistant to someone famous and that he's having a party tonight and if they trust him and do as he says, they can spend the night at that party.
A party that could change their lives.. Especially when one of them realizes that he's working for a famous actor that used to be her crush when she was younger.
“She had no idea what she was walking into, but she had a feeling she needed to hold on tight. It was going to be a wild ride.”
This was a short novella, introducing the girls. I liked that we got to see where these girls were coming from, their thoughts and personalities. I don't know if the rest of the series will be dedicated to each one of them, but I hope so. Natalie was probably my favorite, because I kind of felt like we had a couple of similarities.
I'm looking forward to reading the Reckless Nights series! :)

Great start 2 this series can't wait 4 more
I liked how we got 2 know the 3 girls in this prequel I m glad I read it b4 I started I wasn't goin 2 but glad I did these girls r very different they r al nurses on a wild weekend in Vegas it wasn't a great start there flight was delayed an the airline lost there luggage what more could go wrong when they wanted 2 start the weekend of they needed something 2 where so when they were lookin 4 a dress they bumped into James an assistant 2 a famous actor will that's what he said an he wanted 2 take them 2 a party where is actor was goin be they were al a lil weary of him but once he got 2 know them an they got 2 know him but they willin 2 go with James an start this wild weekend xxx

Reagan, Andrea and Natalie are heading to Vegas for a weekend of fun in Sin City. Leaving behind the their jobs as nurses and all their responsibilities – these three women stumble across an invite that seems too good to be true, but one that might just change their lives.
This short little intro to the Vegas Nights Series, sets up the series beautifully. You get a little taste of each of the girls and you get to meet the first of the three men, Declan.
The writing was a little whimsical and being that there were three characters sharing the stage, it was a little rocky at first – often times when there are too many voices they can get jumbled and although it sort itself out, there were times when I was like, ‘wait who said that?’
This was a fun little read and has me excited for this series. Not sure yet what will come with each of these stories, but this was a great teaser to gain my interest.

This was a short FREE prequel to what promises to be a brilliant new series. In "Wicked Nights" I was introduced to Reagan, Andrea and Natalie. All great friends but all very different characters and I can't wait to find out all about each one of them as the series progresses.
The story was set in Las Vegas and the girls were ready for a weekend of partying. Well, two of the girls were. Reagan just wanted to sleep! I got the impression that Reagan was the sensible one of the group, so I'm looking forward to seeing if she embraces the party capital of the world!
After meeting James on their first night in Vegas, the girls were invited to a party that was being held by the famous actor, Declan Carter. Of course, the girls weren't going to turn down the opportunity to rub shoulders with the stars and excitedly headed over to the event.
Although this was a quick read, it gave me a chance to know the characters and gave me an idea of the premise to the story. It was a really fun and lively novella and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in part one of the series "Reckless Nights".

I'm just afraid if we say no, we'll end up regretting it forever.Although I only met Declan Carter for a short time, he appeared to be a nice guy. Declan was sick and tired of the superficial women that constantly threw themselves at his feet just because of who he was. He wanted a normal woman, someone who was not just interested in his appearance and so when Reagan, Andrea and Natalie walked into his party he was immediately drawn to them. The girls made a refreshing change and he wanted to know them more.
Although this was a quick read, it gave me a chance to know the characters and gave me an idea of the premise to the story. It was a really fun and lively novella and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in part one of the series "Reckless Nights".

This was a very quick, pleasant and enticing introduction to what could possibly be a very interesting and great series.
The writing was smooth and the girls seem cute, varied and like they could be your best friend. Lots of potential there.
I'm not quite sure which direction this next book/series will take and for that I'm intrigued and hesitant.

This was a nice introduction to the series, but it was only an introduction, and therefore kinda short. And open-ended. It was written well, and I'm already loving Declan's assistant, but I wanted more. Which was, of course, the point. :-) I will likely read the others in the series because I'm interested in their stories.

A fabulous introduction and teaser into the Vegas Nights series. We meet best friends Reagan, Natalie and Andrea as they head to Vegas to escape their busy nursing jobs and have an exciting weekend together. When their luggage doesn’t make it, they find themselves in need of outfits to go out which puts them in James’ path who recruits them to attend a party that his boss is hosting. Let the fun begin!

This is the first book of Karen's that I've had the pleasure of reading. Although it is incredibly short it still manages to pack in a good bit of introduction to who the characters are and their personality traits that make them distinguishable. Our three hard working nurses and main female protagonists Reagan, Natalie and Andrea are off having a grand old time to themselves in Vegas when they come across a mysterious stranger in a clothes store who is about to help alter each of their love lives.
It's a witty quick read at this point and I get the feeling we're simply being set up for the bigger and better events to come in the next instalments. It's slick and precise in writing, there is no filler with endless monotonous descriptions of unnecessary things just a good rundown of the girls and the potential leading men that are going to storm in and sweep them off their feet as well as a good meaty hook to snare you in the form of reformed bad bay actor Declan who takes an instant shine to one of the vacationing ladies. If you're looking to suspend reality for an hour and lose yourself in the world of 'what if you met a real life film star' with plenty of thigh clenching sexual tension then Wicked Weekend is the place to start. I cannot wait to see where this yellow brick road is leading us.

This is the first book I have read by Karen Erickson and I am so glad that I already have the next one.
Three best friends, Reagan, Natalie and Andrea were all nurses that needed a break and Vegas was it! They saved for a year and were ready for some wicked fun for the weekend. When they finally made their destination they still did not have their luggage but they needed to go out. So a shopping trip was the best choice...they didn't expect it would change their night.
While shopping they met a stranger named James that promises a party they would never forgot with famous men. He knew they were perfect for what his clients and his friends had in mind. The girls didn't know if they could trust him but once he threw out who he worked for Reagan was all too excited.
They were ready to get the night started. The night that could change their lives. Will they get what they are looking for? Was James the real deal?
I love that the three friends are real. They have debts, they are nurses and want to let loose for one weekend.

Karen Erickson's Wicked Weekend is a quick short novella. It's really short. However, I look at it more like an introductory to the series which is Vegas Nights. Basically, we are getting introduce to three friends who are looking for a good time in Vegas. They happen to meet the assistant to Declan Carter, James. James assignment was to find good-looking girls who aren't fake for Declan and his friends. That's pretty much it for this part of the story. Now we have to wait for the rest of the story.
Basically, this part of the series is introducing us to Reagan, Andrea, and Natalie. Each one will get there own story. It's a tease, but you know what I'm kind of curious on whats going to happen to these girls. Plus, you can't get too mad at the tease cause it was free. Great intro to the girls and I'm kind of curious to see if James will be around to help them. I kind of hope so, because he kind of reminded me as fairy godmother type. Yes, I can't wait for more.

WICKED WEEKEND BY KAREN ERICKSON IS CURRENTLY FREE!!!
A prequel novella in Karen Erickson's Vegas Nights series, I found Wicked Weekend to be unrealistically entertaining. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the story a great deal. The story centers around three friends who decide to get away from their busy lives and careers on a weekend roadtrip to Vegas. I found the story to be highly entertaining and loved my introduction to Reagan, Andrea and Natalie. The only negative things I have to say about the story is that some of the scenarios were unrealistic and the story was to short. However that still did not detract from my enjoyment. Received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Because the airline lost their luggage, they need to do some party dress shopping. They end up meeting James, a former make-up artist turned celebrity assistant, who helps each of them pick-out a fabulous dress and takes them to an A-list party.
This is a fun and exciting teaser! Ms. Erickson packs a lot of plot and adventure into only 45 pages. The first novella in the series, Reckless Nights, will be available next month and I can't wait to read it!

Between finishing Nursing school and starting new careers: Three friends decide to take one weekend for themselves before jumping into real life.
Reagan, Andrea, and Natalie want to spend three days just being girls. That means soaking up the sun, drinks by the pool and maybe getting a little wild and partying some. Nothing on the agenda but girl-time.

Great intro to the series of Vegas Nights !! We get to meet the girls and see just how they end up in the arms of the famous men they do !! The highlight of this little nugget is meeting James !! I think I fell in love with him right away !! He was such an added bonus !!
So Reagan , Natalie and Andrea are off on a much needed and long time saved for trip to Vegas. Of course plagued with delays and now lost luggage they decide to throw caution to the wind , skip resting and go shopping for something hot to wear out on their first night. What they don't expect is to be taken under the wing of a personal assistant to some movie star who dresses them up in too rich dresses and invites them to the party of their dreams !!

This was a super quick read that takes a look at the events prior to attending the exclusive private party from a complete stranger. James indicates that he is a personal assistant to someone well known and randomly approaches hard working nurses: Regan, Andrea, and Natalie.
From a girlfriends' weekend trip that started off on a sour note to risk believing the stranger that big name celebrities will be at the venue and to dress for the occasion. good start to the series. this book gives us the intro into Reagan & Declan's story as Reagan & her 2 best friends head to Vegas for a long deserved vacation. so far it hasn't started off great, lost luggage & airport delays hamper their good time but they will endure to have the best time ever. while shopping for something to wear they run into a quirky, fashionista of a man James who unbeknownst to them is looking for 3 normal, pretty women to take to his boss's party that night. He picks out their clothes for them, talks them into stuff they can't afford really & promises that if they go with him they won't regret it. What are they walking into? Have the girls lost their mind following him? Who are these famous people they are about to meet? Looking forward to the first book.

This is a super, super, fast read. Just a little intro into the three women who each get their own novella in this series. It gives a little bit of context to each of the three novellas that is, while not vital, in my opinion still needed. Otherwise, the beginning to the novellas is a little bit like the jerk you feel when a roller coaster starts. Boom! Here we go!
The reader is able to get to know the girls a little better and you’ll go into the following books already liking and rooting for them. As usual for this author, it’s very well written and her characters are pretty well developed, as much as they can be for such a short book.
It’s not completely gripping or anything, but it’s super cute and a fun little read.

Really short and sweet, gets right down to the point and a rather great way to start the series. The author did a wonderful job I was hooked from the very first chapter. The characters all seem real fun. This short story only took me a few hours to read from cover to cov e r and let's just say I enjoyed it to the point that the characters had me laughing a lot. Look out Vegas the party is about to start and I have front row to this ride. MUST READ SHORT!!! It's worth 3 1/2 stars from the POV being hard to follow, couldnt wrap my head around who was the main character since they all kind of spoke at once.

This was a great book for introductions to the characters in Reckless Nights. It was a quick read, but gave some in depth looks at Natalie, Andrea, Reagan, and Declan. Love the writing style of Karen Erickson.

This is a fun and fast read Three friends in VEGAS -what do they have to loose? Well their luggage! This book introduces you to Reagan, Natalie, Andrea and James. These 3 best friends meet a stranger and go on a fun shopping trip since their luggage is lost. James tells them he wants to take them to an exclusive party so he helps them pick out dresses. The girls wonder is he is setting them up for something weird but for some reason they trust him. See where he takes the girls and be ready for lots of laughs!

This prequel was short and sassy. I absolutely loved James and the way the story was set up, but it left me hanging and that was slightly annoying. I kinda wanted a little more with James. Maybe a little more of the setup from his point of view or something. I was definitely eager to move on to Reagan’s story. And it made me anxious to get to Natalie and Andrea’s books as well. This was really more of a teaser than a true novella, but I enjoyed it.

This is a cute little teaser about three off-duty, BFF nurses looking for some R & R in Las Vegas. It was a little confusing which character was which resulting in a re-read of the descriptions. Later on, they end up at a party with famous actor, Declan Carter. What happens next will be revealed in the novel-next month.
