Leslie’s passion for film and screenwriting eventually led her to Texas for eight years, writing for a prime time CBS series. She’s traveled the world as part of film crews, from Africa to Israel, New York to San Francisco. Now she finds her favorite creative adventures taking place in her home, in Southern California, writing Contemporary Romance.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2018This is my first time reading Pike and she didn’t disappoint. It was a little insta-love which I absolutely love when it’s written well and The Trouble with Eden qualifies. Stephen and Bliss were a super cute couple, smoking hot and had great moments together. My only downside is when the drama happened and Bliss ran off like a pouting child instead of talking to Stephen. I know it’s a tool used in books to create a drama but I find myself sitting there grumbling about how idiots should just talk to each other - so power to Pike’s writing for creating a stir. Great first book in a series.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 March 2015I was am little nervous reading a new authour as you never know what a new authors writing style is like, but I have to say she nailed it.
Bliss and Stevens eyes met over a pool of water and the connection was instant, their chemistry was hot hot hot and their story was perfect, too perfect for this to be a book so you know something is going to rock the boat, throw in a jealous ex lover and an explosive set and you have the drama.
The angst was just enough to get my heart racing but not too much that I am running to put my kindle in the freezer.
All in all a nice comfortable read and I will definitely be signing up for an arc for book 2.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 July 2016This is a debut novel by this author, and OMG, she blew me away. I was hooked from the very beginning and could not put down until finished.
This is the story about Bliss and Steven, and it is a refreshing change to have the couple slightly older. These two have an instant and intense chemistry from the start, and the sparks fly. No true love runs smoothly though, and they have to overcome twists and turns on the way.
This is a beautifully written love story, with a good detailed storyline. If you enjoy books which contain passion, sex, and humour, then don’t miss this book. I will certainly be recommending and reading more from this author in the future. Cannot wait to read the next book!

5.0 out of 5 stars good read, very sexy hero...
A stand alone read with a HEA. I really enjoyed this book and found it enlightening as well as entertaining. The heroine is a young woman with some sad events in her early life but now finds herself a very successful business woman Enough so that she is able to pretty much do as she pleases and her C.O.O. runs the business. The story starts with her relaxing at her gym pool. She is alone until she hears a splash and a gorgeous hunk of a guy is swimming laps. That is their beginning. The story is set in northern California.
He is in town for the making of a movie. Steven is the man in charge of the stuntmen. He has honed his craft and his body shows the results. They immediately hit it off. These are two single, sexy adults. They are VERY sexual. There is lots of very hot sex going on quite often and if they are not in the middle of the act it self, they are thinking about it. So this story is not for the faint of heart! There are also a lot of "f" words that fit the story line but if it offends you, better pass. This guy is all that and more!! And she is right there with him.
Their lives become part of the movie crew and set. He works every day and she being a free spirit, is able to go to work with him to watch the making of a film. Her passion is writing. So far she is working on a screenplay but she is a beginner and has nothing looked at by others. But she continues to write. Of course, there is the bad sexy actress that just can't seem to get enough attention. Billed as a sex kitten, she can portray it on the screen but in real life she is like a dead fish! The guys may go one time, but no thanks to seconds. She is a rotten apple in the bunch. But she makes for a good storyline.
They seem to fall in love and be great with each other. But then tragedy hits. He wants to throw it all away for her own good. She refuses to allow him to make a choice for her. This story just got better and better as it went along. I really liked all the characters and the storyline. It was fun to see how stuntmen work and how they contribute to a movie. There were some pretty wild parties among the crew but I really think it wasn't anything that doesn't go on. We in the audience just don't see behind the scenes. It is a very good read and I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 1/27/18

4.0 out of 5 stars A Sexy and Entertaining Debut Novel
Leslie Pike's debut novel, The Trouble With Eden, is a sexy and entertaining read. The story is told from the view points of both main characters, Bliss and Steven, which helped heighten the emotional experience and journey.
I loved Bliss right away. She is such a strong heroine, but also has a softer vulnerable side. She's smart, independent, knows what she wants, and is unwilling to settle. Yes, her stubbornness causes some problems, but it's understandable given the circumstances. My favorite part about Bliss is her passion. Passion for her life, her work, and her love. Her road was not an easy one, but she's fought hard to become the woman that she is and is proud of it. I'm not usually a fan of instalust and I will admit that this pushed my limits, but I thought what developed as a result was so genuine and true that it didn't matter in the end. Bliss and Steven may not have had a conventional love story, but I think it was incredibly relatable.
This book also features some of the funniest and most colorful secondary characters I have ever read. A few you will love to hate and others will have you laughing out loud. There's a good dose of drama and angst, but it fits with the story and only strengthens the relationship between Bliss and Steven. I did get a little lost with all the information about Steven's stunt work and the entertainment industry, but the details painted a really vivid picture of what was going on with our characters. Overall, The Trouble With Eden is a wonderful love story and I look forward to reading more of Leslie's books.

5.0 out of 5 stars So much fun!
Bliss and Steven are a great way to start this series. They have a lot of fun and plenty of steam. Love almost all the characters and once you read you will know who was on my not like list. Fun mixture of characters to keep the story moving in so many directions. Love it and can't wait for the next book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great debut novel
I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were interesting, funny, and overall relatable. Fell in love with Bliss and Steven. Bliss and Steven are a fun couple that face difficulties and issues that I could understand. Leslie Pike did a great job with this debut novel. I'm late to the game reading it, but this book still pulled me in. Love the books she's written since, so make sure and check out her other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating movie set story
This is my first book by Leslie Pike. It’s an insta-love story but with plenty of angst thrown in. Steven is a stuntman on a movie set, and Bliss is a successful businesswoman who is writing a screenplay. I didn’t realize until afterwards that the author started as a screenwriter and is married to a stuntman/director, so the setting and insights about the movie business are authentic and fascinating. I want to be Bliss, she is a strong, sexy, smart, caring, and beautiful woman. Steven is a super hot alpha but willing to fall in love with Bliss and fight for her. The sexy scenes are hot but not OTT and don’t overshadow their love. The book was well edited with no distracting grammar or spelling issues that make you wonder if the author posted their first draft. I’m looking forward to reading more by Leslie.
