5.0 out of 5 stars ONE LOVING THIS
Verified PurchaseOH. MY. SOMETHING SO EXPRESSIVE I CAN'T SAY IT!!! THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST CONCLUSIONS TO ONE OF THE BEST SERIES I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF READING!!!!!
"Everybody dies because of me." I cry. "People suffer when I'm in their life. I'm like this poison. And I've infected every single person I've touched..."---Juliette, One Love.
When I bought Seven Sons...I had seen it in my news feed many times and one night thought....eh, why not. I had never read dark romance so The Gypsy Brothers Series was the first and damn if I wasn't in for the ride of my life.
Emotions on every end of the spectrum....I felt every thing: rage, pure unadulterated hatred, pain...oh god...gut wrenching, heart twisting pain, passion, devotion, love...all of it.
I finally get what Jase and Juliette and Elliott and Dornan....as twisted and sick as he is....are all about. Their strengths, their weaknesses, their pain and fear....all of it. One Love finally gets the grit of what these characters are made of. Juliette had tenacity and strength and a massive, mind blowing will to live and I admire her for that will and strength.
Jase and Elliott were sources of her strength. They were catalysts who propelled her forward to fight even when it felt the end was so close she could taste it on her tongue.
Dornan Ross...words can't describe the pure hatred I had for him and his sons while reading this series and as much as I hated him, he has got to be one of the best villains I have ever read. If he doesn't elicit anger from you at the words he spits at Julz...well...I don't see how that would not be possible.
Pain felt on the inside is probably so much worse than pain felt on the outside. When it comes to one's heart, it can crippling and can make one feel as though they are drowning in a sea of total darkness and despair...Juliette, Jase, Elliott, Dornan....
With every book in this series my anticipation grew for the way the series would come full circle and ultimately end. And I can honestly say..... Lili Saint Germain DID NOT disappoint. She delivered an ending to this series so epic and beautiful that I felt it like a punch to my stomach and an electric current being shot through my chest. Lord have mercy this woman yanked every single thought and every single ounce of....well....everything from me with One Love.
One Love is so disturbingly and beautifully written, that I have no words to really convey my thoughts for how beautiful this all ends. ☆☆☆☆☆ read for me!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
Verified PurchaseThis series has kept me on the edge of my seat throughout all 7 books. It was never or predictable or scenes over embellished. The storyline is fantastic and the characters brilliant. Every book was a page turner and the best thing is you get to the end and seriously don't want the journey to finish and find out the author is just that amazing and it doesn't finish here. We're being taken with the characters from this series to another no doubt amazing storyline with action, fear, gasps of shock and excitement and I can not wait. Lilies st Germain is a genius and I challenge anyone who says differently

5.0 out of 5 stars Blown away
Verified PurchaseThe final installment is here! It does not disappoint! Just like all the others, it is dark and twisted, revenge is hard earned with casualties along the way and the stakes are high. A lot of blood has already been shed but it's not enough, not until either Juliette or Dornan drop dead and they are both too stubborn to die as long as the other is alive. That doesn't mean there aren't others out there who also want one of them dead for different reasons. Juliette may have been a devastating and broken mess in the last book, and the grief is still raw, but she is alive and strong in this one with her thirst for final vengeance on full force. She's got a team of unlikely supporters, besides Elliot and Jase, to reach her goal. And let's not forget that Dornan isn't a villian to knock down easily or doesn't already have a plan of his own. He's always gone for the jugular when it comes to reaching his opponent's greatest weakness and he aims with exact precision. All those remaining questions that need answers are revealed in One Love. There's surprises at every turn and Juliette, who is used to things not being predictable, handles it like a champ even if she's shaking on the inside. Juliette impressed me even more this time around. She's always been set on her goal to destroy Dornan and she's suffered more than her fair share. It wasn't that I never thought Juliette wasn't compassionate, because she is, especially towards the people she loves, but this time, her singular aim is to ensure the safety of Elliot's daughter and ex-girlfriend, 2 people innocent in the midst of massacre, but they are people she doesn't know. It doesn't matter, they are important to Elliot and Elliot has been the symbol of ultimate sacrifice throughout this series. Juliette is familiar with the kind of loss that Elliot could experience and doesn't want that for him. I have watched Juliette war with herself so many times throughout her journey, weighing the good with the bad, appreciating the small meaningful moments amidst a long stretch of hell, justifying bloodshed for soul cleansing, etc. She's one of the very best characters I have ever read in dark fiction because in her circumstances, who can blame her for how she feels and her actions? Part of the time, I'm laughing with her as she makes these sarcastic comments about her situation or points out the little silver linings that hardly make the day better. To me, she has never been crazy, not even close. At her core, she has a pure heart. She thinks she is jaded while Jase is the one who is untainted and even though Jase grounds her like no one else, Jase also gets all of her. His experiences are different, they are probably no less tragic or character changing, because he and Juliette have always had the same goal, except Juliette went about it on fast forward motion. What I adore about Jase is how Juliette is everything to him, he could forgive anything she does and support her all the way without seeing anything negative about her. I liked that Jase got his chance to really let his family know how he really felt about them. The people who love Juliette do see the best parts of her, she is very human and flawed, but her ability to fight back and survive is inspiring. This story tests the boundaries of blood relations and betrayal. Obviously, there's a final showdown. How does it play out? Hmm...not going to reveal anything except to say that it was written brilliantly and everyone gets what they deserve. The best part? There's still more to come even though this series is over.
