This wasn't a book as such. It was a hot short story (at 50%) which ended with a cliffhanger. Then we were subjected to one of the familiar pleas to buy the next instalment. Ah, wait! That was part of the final half of the book. Well, not quite. We had another short story - not so hot because it was more from the same checklist of items to include in something from this genre. I lost count of the short extracts after that. Was it one or two? As for the final piece it was crude at best.

I enjoyed reading the story, and was very disappointed to find the story finish (without warning) and for the conclusion to be in another book. If I had known this I wouldn't have read it in the first place.

The Hotel Series by Lola Darling
208 pages total all 3 books

    5 star review

I was introduced to Lola through a newsletter subscription. I read her latest book Teach Me and really enjoyed Lola's writing style. When I got the Hotel part 1 and 2 for free from her newsletter I had to download them. This was a great story. The hot billionaire story has been done before but Lola's story took it to a new level.

Lola has a way of writing that has you the reader feeling the passion between the characters while your reading. Her sex scenes are HOT and very detailed, it's like your watching a movie and not reading a book. Lola is an up and coming romance novelist and I can't wait for her to release another romance book.I loved this book, was sad when Dom and Juliet's story was over, I can only hope we get glimpses of them in some of her future novels.

Juliet is a student in the hospitality program in Chicago. She lands an internship at the Rexford hotel in Chicago - her dream job. Her first day she walks into the boardroom and at the other end of the table is her one night stand from the previous night, her new boss! Dominic wants her again and does everything he can to convince her to see him again. The books are full of sex, drama and a little bit of heart ache. Can Juliet stick to her morals and stay away from temptation or will she give in to the man who gave her the best sex of her life? Read The Hotel series and find out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great debut book by Lola Daring

I really enjoyed this trilogy. The story was well written, and complex. Sexy, smouldering Dom couldn't be hotter and Juliet is his perfect match. This is a great read. One you pick up and can't put down. I can't wait to see what the author writes next. The sub characters are not only interesting but fit well into the plot and flow of the story. I hope the writer gives us more of Dom and Juliet, maybe turns this I to a series. Would love to read more of the main characters but I think another book of Xander and even Lillian would be very well received.

I was gifted Parts One and Two of the Hotel from the author. This did not influence my review in any way. I really enjoyed this book but let me say knowing there were three parts to it, I had all three ready and waiting for me.

Juliet helps out a roommate one night and ends up spending the night with 'Andrew". When she starts her new job as an intern at the Rexford Hotel the next day she finds that 'Andrew' is really Dominic-her new boss. The chemistry between these two is off the charts but the reason for their initial meeting is eating away at Juliet. It was not just a chance meeting.

Then Liliana, Dom's ex-wife shows up and blows everything to pieces. Juliet is very angry that Dom didn't tell her about Liliana. Dom is beyond angry that his ex-wife has proof that he had an affair before they were divorced thereby voiding their prenup and he loses part of the Rexford Hotel to her. Then his playboy brother shows up to further complicate things.

Many things come into play ....communication, trust, forgiveness and lastly identifying love for what it is. This was a really good story with some very hot and steamy parts and it all made for some great reading. I am going to use the same review for all three books as I did feel they all could have been combined into one book. The first two books do end on a cliffhanger but it is all tied up nicely in book three. For sure, a story worth reading.

good story but as another reader pointed out there was no mention that over seven dollars is required to find out the middle and end of this story. I would like to know as I became involved with characters but on principle it will go into my "part books" folder

My first read by this author & I enjoyed it. The chemistry between Andrew (Dom) & Julie(Juliet) was steaming up the pages hot. The fact that a one night stand would bite them both is hilarious but I feel sorry for Juliet because the way they met is going to back fire on her.
