    Now THIS is what a romantic suspense should be! "For Fallon" is the story of fun, loving, intelligent, yet naive, Fallon and dark, gritty and oh-so-sexy mafia kingpin, Luca and the fireworks that ensue when their two worlds collide.

    Fallon Michaels is going about her normal life and, without even realizing it, is cast into a dark world that she never even thought about as existing. And by the time she realizes that nothing, NOTHING is as it seems, I was hooked, and from that point on, my guts were so tied up in knots, there was no way I could put it down!

    Soraya Naomi weaves a tale that allows the reader to really get to know the characters so that whatever they are feeling, the reader feels just as passionately. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but I will say that by the time Fallon realizes what she's gotten herself into (and by the time Luca realizes what he's brought her into), they're each in so deep that there doesn't seem to be any way that either of them can pull themselves out. And by that time, I was so captivated by both of them (especially Luca), I didn't really even want them to!

    As Fallon was faced with one horrific dilemma after another, and her heart was twisted every which way until she didn't know which way was up, my heart was twisting right along with hers, and I couldn't wait to turn the page to see what Luca had in store for her next.

    I LOVED this book! It's intelligently written with great character development and just enough build to reel you in and take you along for a wild ride, and it (and Luca) are so hot and sexy that I was fanning myself at times!

    I'll be waiting with bated breath for the next book, "For Luca" to release in the fall. The title alone guarantees it--yes, MORE Luca, please!! Please write fast, Ms Naomi!

    Well this is a different type of mafia story than the usual ones I read. The two main characters, Luca and Fallon are fully fleshed out, complex and relatable. The story has so much passion, emotion and action. I could not put it down. I love Fallon for her innocence, her brains and her emotional strength, and I especially love Luca for his passion, protective and possessive nature, Great side characters too. Dual pov, no cheating but there is OW drama because these are adults who have had relationships before meeting. I cannot wait to read the 2nd book and I am so looking forward to Adriano and Camilla’s book.

    I am surprised at the number of 4 and 5 star reviews this book is getting.

    Synopsis:
    The book is basically about a girl who falls in love with an underboss in the mafia. Shenanigans and hi jinx ensues. Fundamentally it is a story about love and lies.

    Positive:
    The story started off interesting. the initial introductions to the characters were good, I had a feeling that I was going to like them. I felt the development of the two main characters' relationship was natural and really quite sweet. And I found the dual points of view interesting. It was also fairly well edited, grammatically speaking.

    Negative:
    The story was excruciatingly slow to develop. While I found the dual points of view interesting it did not add to the story line and instead, maybe, subtracted a little. Also, I got the feeling that the author did not do enough background research before writing the story. I.e. Priests do not get married. They are suppose to stay celibate in order to better dedicate their lives to the service of God. For awhile in the story I did not know the position the main character held in the mafia. I also felt the reason behind this was because the author did not completely understand the position and purposes of the underboss. The character development fell flat and the dialogue between the characters felt stiff.

    Reasons for 3 stars:

    All those listed above plus I appreciate how difficult it is to write a story and i felt the author did a fairly decent job at creating one. But if I am being honest it is not worth the nearly $4 price tag.

    I have had this series on my kindle for a while and with all that is going on in the world decided that I wanted to keep reading Mafia stories.

    I like Fallon and Luca together. I like how they fall in love and are devoted to each other. In order to protect Fallon, Luca does not tell her that he is in the syndicate and therefore he can not share all of himself with her. Fallon, comes across as someone who would not be able to handle Luca's lifestyle regardless of the fact that they love each other.

    When the truth comes out Fallon cuts ties with Luca because she said he broke her trust. However, we find out that Fallon had secrets too that she did not share with Luca that has a knock on affect that impact both their lives.

    Definitely worth a read.

    This series of two books left me gasping. Bound to be one of the classics in its genre. To say I could not put this book down is only the truth. Where would it take me - how could it work out without falling short somewhere. Oh no - it did not do that - the entire story captures the imagination - the characters erupt into life and grab you by the throat. One can't wait for the second book to follow. So glad I bought the two together as I would have been devastated if I'd had to wait. I advise any readers to make sure they have For Fallon and For Luca together to prevent heart attacks while waiting for the next half of the story. The best duo I've read in a while.
