. . . Liar, Liar

Makenna Banks is a 28-year-old, independent, professional woman who spends her days seeking the truth for her clients. She is tenacious and fuelled by events in her past, determined to bring hidden secrets into the light.

. . . Pants On Fire

Thrust into a life he didn’t imagine for himself, but unable to escape it, Benny Duncan immerses himself in his job to avoid his home life. With his future mapped out for him from birth by a pair of controlling parents, more concerned about their social stature, than the happiness of their only son, he always knew he was destined for this life. It doesn’t mean he likes it, though.

. . . Nose As Long

In her search for the truth, Makenna has to put herself in sometimes-dangerous positions, going above and beyond for her clients. But what happens when a situation is not all it seems? What happens when love is thrown into the mix?

. . . As A Telephone Wire.

To do her job properly, Makenna has to get involved, but not
too involved. It’s a fine line that she has managed to never cross. Until now. Until him. Benny Duncan will turn her inside out, changing the world as she knows it. She maybe powerful in all other aspects of her life, but Makenna is powerless against the biggest factor of all; true love.

This may be a quick read but it packs a lot in. Kasey has built a story that is slowly revealed it has it all intrigue, betrayal, passion, smoking hot scenes and love. The main charcters are fantastic and grow throughout the book. Really enjoyable read.

At times the story felt a little rushed and I would have liked more development with the characters and story but that being said I did enjoy it. It was a real nice quick read.

The premise for the story was interesting and I really liked the characters. I particularly liked that Kasey switched it up and it was our female lead who was the one with the secrets. As with all Kasey's books there was certainly plenty of steam in this book and a nice dose of humour.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was given an ARC of "Liar, Liar" from Kasey, in exchange for an honest review.

I know I stated I was given an ARC, but in all honesty I jumped at the chance! As a Kasey Millstead fan, I couldn't wait to read this book, especially with the blurb (have you read it??) I was intrigued. Then once I started..... I couldn't stop!

Makenna is a women who's made a life for herself, after years of nothing but dissapointments, she finally where she wants to be. With her life long friend Mitchell, they co-own a Private Investiagtion company, spending their days sorting through the lies. But what will Makenna do when a client wants her to plant evidence, instead of collecting it??? Benny is in a marriage he never wanted, coerced by his parents & hers, after years of going with the flow, doing everything he can to spend as little time with his wife as possible, he stumbles into Makenna & his life changes drastically....

Oh my, I loved the changes Benny makes from the start, to the finish of this book, he blossoms... I know that's not manly at all, but it's wonderful to read. Although the lies told throughout the book, would make any person cringe, they all hold meaning, you can feel through the words how Makenna & Benny suffer when they can't tell the absolute truth. But then you get to the ending & it all helps & makes the story come alive. I can't wait to see what magic Kasey weaves next.

Liar Liar is the story of Makenna Banks, the owner of a P.I company and Benjamin Duncan, a CEO of Duncan Realtors. How does one find the other? Not how you think. Read it and find out!

I loved this story. The words flowed from page to page and it never left you wondering. The slow way Kenna falls in love with Benny and the inner turmoil that Benny feels about how he feels about Kenna from the beginning was perfectly written. Kasey gave you just a little to invite you in and slowly fed you more as the story progressed. With each page you want more and more because you are dying to know do Kenna and Benny get their happy ending or will Benny's situation win out and Kenna loses it all.

I could read this a hundred times over and it still have me feeling just the way I did the first time. Well done Kasey!
