- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2017Loved Wrong, had just finished reading another series of books that was pretty dark and twisted so didn’t find Wrong as dangerous until I got to Wrath and oh my Lord! This was gruesome and sadistic and horrific and sexy all at once. I am in love again so soon after completing an extremely incredible series. Really thought it will be some time before I find a read so good and felt this might just be a book-rebound but I think this might just be true love.
The beginning of the book starts with where Wrong ends. Wrong was a walk in the park compared to what happens here in Wrath. It’s so disturbing and cruel that I found myself putting it down and leaving it for a while only to come back to it like a w**** on crack. I was addicted and I couldn’t stop reading the nightmare these authors have penned in this book. It gets really difficult to read at times. I was shocked and distraught by what I read but it was so well written that I had to continue.
It has its crazy moments and dark ones and some great banter and humour among all the madness. The final chapters of the book are rammed with emotions and get a room with your sentiments and tears because you’ll be having an affair with your Kleenex box. There’s a courtroom scene and a couple of letters that you will not be able to get through without balling your eyes out.
I can’t wait to start Wire. I’m so pleased I found this gem of series. Thank you ladies for the wonderful work. I have fallen once again in love with an anti-hero and for a change a bad ass lass with a twisted sexy mind. All my love for Tor and Jude.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 April 2019I have been converted to these two authors by this series.I had read and hated another book of theirs which has characters with no humanity or redeemable features. It also had very little plot to recommend it but ended in a cliffhanger. Since the sequel was free on Kindle, and I am a fast reader, I read it and found it to be a great improvement in that a reasonable plot emerged although the characters were still too unpleasant for me to invest in. The plot needed to have been opened properly in the first volume or just made as a.single book.
The first book in this series was also free, so I read it and was pleasantly surprised to find that it has none of the weaknesses of the other series. The characters are interesting and relatable even with their obvious failings. There was a good story in its own right although there was an ending tempting the reader to buy the next volume. I enjoyed it enough to buy this second volume and again it did not disappoint. A great story in its own right but an ending tempting the reader to buy the next volume which I will certainly do.
Two minor niggles for me: firstly the authors seem to have forgotten that Tor had met Euan's uncle Joe ,previously, and secondly, as a lawyer, I found the ignorance of the laws of self defence or defence of another somewhat.surprising. A good lawyer should have been able to deal with the trial without asking Tor to perjure herself or malign Jude. Nonetheless a great series and I am now a convert to these two authors. So glad that I persevered beyond the book.I disliked.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 December 2015I loved the first book, even though there were areas that were very violent and a bit OTT, at least it was balanced with moments of humour, to lighten it up a little....unlike this book.
Because of how the first book ended, I knew this was going to be a bit grim, but this was an never ending story of extreme violence and dark depressing outcomes. There was a point when I just thought I didn't want to read anymore, particularly the rape and torture scenes of Tor. I just felt that crossed a line. She's already been through so much in book one!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude, and I can appreciate a very well written book, but the misery just went on and on. In the end I just kept thinking, oh for god's sakes, give them a break!!!
Having said all that, the character development is very well done. I mean, you shouldn't love a badass criminal psycho murderer, but you could definitely developed Stockholm syndrome for Jude.
And it does have an HEA, otherwise I think this book would have left me a bit depressed. Is it going to stop me reading more of their books, absolutely not, they're too well written and, believe me, there are some seriously badly written books out there, so when I find authors like these I usually devour all their books......way too quickly!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 August 2015OMG, I love love loved this book.
Wrath picked up where Wrong ended, and I am so glad I didn't miss anything. This is a dark book, but also shows that if you love someone as much as Jude and Tor love one another, you can overcome anything.
Be warned this book will take you to some really dark places, but it was so worth the trip to hell to get to the end. Although Jude is a criminal, I liked him in Wrong... no, not because he was a criminal, but because I could see the the good he wanted to hide, and the same can be said for his character in this book.
If you are looking for spoilers, you won't get them here, you really need to read the book and feel every emotion I did. I decided to read it whilst in work (on my lunch break obviously uhum) and there were moments where I was looking at the ceiling and quietly whistling whilst trying to swallow past the lump in my throat. This book covered every base emotionally for me, tears of sorrow, joy and grief and a few laughs, it also helped to have the image of the cover model in my head when I read, (now there is my new happy place right there).
Anyway, definitely a 5 star from me, and looking forward to more joint books from these authors x

5.0 out of 5 stars Hang on tight for a 5 Star wild ride!
Lovell & Cole have hit it out of the park again! What a brilliant collaboration. They have still held true to the original title and theme of Wrong, but spiced it up with the Wrath of both characters. They took the emotional development of both Jude and Tor to new heights, which in turn took their relationship to new and interesting places. This book had me in it's clutches the entire time. It was like riding a roller-coaster with your eyes closed. All you could do what just hang on tight and use your senses, and you never knew which direction you were going until you violently thrown into a plot twist you didn't see coming. So are going to be so emotionally invested in this book, you are going to feel every from the euphoric highs to the dark and torturous lows. They have balanced out the graphic violence in parts with a sharp and witty humor. If you don't really love a dark read, this book isn't for you. This book certainly tested my limits emotionally and had me begging for release right up until the very end, but it was worth every uncomfortable second.

3.0 out of 5 stars dur, dur...

5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging at times, but a brilliant book
I waited to read Wrong, until the day before Wrath came out, as I hate cliffhangers. Found both books great reads, enjoyed them, but was challenged at time. I think Wrath contained my favorite line in a book ever. It was to do with whether she was being unreasonable or hormonal. That was a crack me up laughing moment in the middle of a dark time, that reminded me of a conversation I had with my boyfriend, at the time. This book was an emotional rollercoaster, The lows were very low, there were tissue moments, Jude is not a nice person, but I grew to like him over the course of the 2 books, Tor changed, not necessarily for better, not necessarily for worse, but she changed and the change was realistic. What she lived through over the course of the 2 books, and Wrath particularly will change a person. I think I loved this book so much due to the slow build, emotions did not change overnight, they changes took time the recoveries took time. Jude was not a glamourous guy, he was gritty, rude, crass, vengeful, violent. After Tor he was still these things, he was just also a man in love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wickedly intense conclusion
"Revenge is a debt that not even death can pay."
Holy hell this was intense, from beginning to end there is no other word to describe it. Like Wrong there was very little down time and if anything this was more nail-biting and darker than the last.
We pick up were we dropped off in the last book. Tor was walking away and things got impeccably worse. Joe Campbell is the devil and he has the one thing that Jude wants, Tor. He is a despicable excuse of human and will stop at nothing to make Jude suffer. His evil holds no bounds and there are no lines he will not cross.
Tor became someone new during her time with Jude and her evolution continues in this book. Her soul is destroyed and her will is broken but piece by piece she is slowly put back together by the one person that she fell for.
"(he)...is the only thing holding me here, in one piece, and the second I move from his arms I'll disintegrate."
Jude is out for blood, his problems with Joe Campbell run long and deep and he will not be safe to rest until he is taken care of. Jude, the ruthless bookie, has also evolved. His focus while still the same has also changed. He has someone else to think of and he is determined to protect her with all that he is.
The conclusion of their story was not easy to get through. It was not a story with sunshine and roses; there was devastating loss, brutality, an evil so dark that I needed to look away and pure sadness. There were few slivers of hope and ending that will knock your socks off. I truly loved the depth of this story. From the darkness light was found but the journey to get there was not pretty. The detail in which the story was told was captivating and disturbing. It was definitely one of those books that will stick with me for a long time to come.
"Sometimes the lines between right and wrong become so blurred that everything seems like it's right."

4.0 out of 5 stars It definitely got better!
I liked pt1 but the writing didn't do it for me, somehow lacking and slightly amatuer. I cant explain why it just was.
I REALLY didn't want to pay $5.48 for this book (pt2 Wrath) but I hate not seeing a book to completion, so paid I did.
I must say, Pt2 was somewhat better than the first. Still a lot of typos, which for this price annoys the crap out of me, but the ending was a surprise and I didn't see it coming ...i hate predictable endings.
My heart broke for both Tor and Jude...how can two be put through so much and still get the raw end of the stick?
I ended up loving Marney once I got to know him and glad Tor had him to lean on.
The love story portrayed is heartfelt and real. The story itself would not happen in real life...i mean come on, with what Joe did to Tor, she would have a strong case in her defense.
Thetherless...this has a HEA ending which I'm glad about.
I gave 4 stars but would say more 3 and a half due to the typos and story v's $$ cost.
I liked this but wouldn't rank in my top 10. If you can get it cheaper it's worth the read.
