4.4 out of 5 stars 298 ratings

Weeks became months, and months became years. Each day, nudged Kason deeper into his addiction. Each memory of the girl destroyed fed the craving for what he could never have again.

Leaving a life-altering first love behind, Adaline tried moving forward to find love and trust and happiness. Pain eventually faded, wounds slowly healed, yet scars were forever left behind.

But some scars feel like kisses.

When the shattered pieces of their hearts are forced to meet again, the two of them must decide how much pain their love is worth enduring.

This is what happens when one person loves beyond the craving and the other craves beyond the loving.

A truly difficult story to tell, but was written v well with compassion, understanding and lots of sadness.
Ady struggles with what happened to her and whilst I didn't agree with her reasons not to tell Mason, it was a good story and well worth it.

I was gripped by these two books and loved all the main characters, my only critical is there were too many unwritten /unanswered questions for me as a reader. What happened with her relationship with her dad felt this part of her life just ended! And although I was glad she left her best friend for her true love what happened to him no more reference was made to him and he was such a huge party of her life and the story would love to know what was next for him,Trent and Katy.

This is the second book of an unforgettable duet that I’ve been waiting to read since the heart stopping ending of book one.

This one was different because we now have two vulnerable people. Ady is in pain she’s floundering but can’t bring herself to talk to anyone. Kason is still that messed up young man trying to live with his addiction but without Ady’s support he’s cut adrift and drowning.

I understood Ady’s actions but that doesn’t mean I liked them in fact I was so angry with her at first. Can love survive for this young couple who have already faced so much pain?

Firstly this is the second instalment of the Crave Duet and it is essential part one be read first to even have an idea of book two. Along with bubble wrapping your e-reader, some tissues and a stiff drink may be helpful too.

The end of the first book left us at a crucial moment for Adaline and one that was sure to impact her and Kason hugely as she was victimised in a horrid way that, why the actual event isn't detailed in any way, some may have difficulty in reading the consequences of. This book is much more Adalines story and I have to be honest and say I was a little disappointed in that fact as the title of this duet and the facts we learnt about Kason had me expecting a different story altogether. That said it is a well presented story that is tough reading at times and an absolute roller coaster of a ride compared to book one.

Poor Adaline, things quickly spiral out of her control and I was screaming at her to just get help as it was awful to read her shutting down. She became a victim in more than one way and along the way others did too. I really wasn't happy with many of the decisions she made and had to walk away from the story a few times and tell myself she wasn't acting rationally.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of Kason in this book, the poor guy my heart broke for him over and over and then nothing from him for a good majority of the book? I felt like I'd abandoned him as well and all I wanted was a snippet of how he was coping.

The story jumps in time and well I just about chucked my kindle asking what the author was even thinking and at this time I really didn't like Adaline very much. And my frustration with the missing piece of the story nearly had me refusing to read on.

Tragedy, once again, is what turns this story back on track bringing Kason back into the story and this poor boy just had my heart breaking again and hoping he catches a break sometime soon. Once these two cross paths they have to face up to the past and the tragic consequences and pain that one night cost them both. But inevitably someone is going to get hurt no matter what. Question is who will it be?

This story will drain you as it twists and turns down an emotional bumpy path and while I'm still a little conflicted over the path it took, hence the four stars, I was happy with the outcome of the story.

I have read the Authors previous books (I’m thinking of Lotus, which is very dark) so I was not expecting a book like this one. Book one of Crave was amazing but this took me on the biggest emotional roller coaster I have ever experienced from a book. I could literally feel the pain from the pages, I’m not embarrassed to say I cried loudly, my husband wondered what the hell was wrong with me!

E K Blair is one hell of an author! Normally I would skim pages when the monotonous lines are present in a book, but I can honesty say I absorbed every word in this book. I’m looking forward to future books by E K Blair

5+ Wow, EK Blair you broke me! I seriously had to walk away from this one for a couple of days; the emotions were just too much for me. I could feel the pain, heartache in these characters and the emotions were carrying over into my real life.

The characters feel so real, I felt like I was going through this with them. It was such a long journey for both of them but Adaline’s avoidance as she struggled through this healing process made this one tough to read. The tears are still on the surface for me, she had some very tough choices to make.

Oh Kason, I love this damaged character. His pain, his lifelong struggles of constant self-loathing…..he has so much to give, so much good inside of him. I’m so glad he had Ady’s Mom to get him through this.

Micah…..I hurt for him, hope he’s doing well. He played such an important role in this story and he gave everything he had to help her through this.

Thanks for an amazing, heart breaking and heartfelt story EK Blair, I love reading your stories with all their feels, tears, tortured hearts and all. As painful or heavy as it is, I love that you always tell your character’s story as it’s meant to be told; they are always complete and give me the closure I need. This is one I won’t soon forget

5.0 out of 5 stars Angst-filled, emotional and all consuming! A must read!
Reviewed in the United States on 18 October 2017
Crave: Part Two by E.K. Blair was an angst-filled, emotional and wild roller coaster ride. I could not put the book down. I was consumed by it. Please note this will contain spoilers to the first book, so make sure you read that one first.

The book picks up right where Part One ended. Adaline is devastated. The guilt and grief weigh heavily on her. Lost and broken, she withdraws into herself until she can barely survive. As she continues losing herself, she withdraws from those around her until the need to run away is all that is left.

Kason broke my heart. Devastated by losing Adaline, he fell deeper and deeper into his addiction until all he felt was darkness. He let it consume him. But he never forgot the one woman he ever loved and was worth fighting for. He was both so very strong and weak. But without Adaline he no longer felt like fighting.

Years later, another tragedy brings Adaline face-to-face with Kason. Adaline had struggled with what happened to her, but she worked on healing. She moved forward hoping to find love and trust again, but Kason was always here, deep within her heart. But it was Micah who was there for her and helped her put the pieces of her shattered life back together again.

But being around Kason brought back all the feelings she tried to push away. The reason she had run in the first place was never because she did not love him. But she loved Micah too. Confused and torn, she found herself torn between two men. But her heart knew what it wanted. His addiction is still between them, as is the man she is now committed too. Would Kason and Adaline find a way back to each other or was it too late for them?

Crave: Part 2 was a tumultuous ride. Torn apart by circumstances, years pass, but their strong connection was always there. The journey to the conclusion to this duet will break your heart, but the story is real and raw. I loved all the characters and hope we get some of the secondary (and not so secondary) character’s stories.

4.5 stars! Read and reviewed for Reviews From The Heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book makes you FEEL

Review I really am torn with my feelings for this book. Of course Ms Blair did a fantastic job in bringing us Adeline's journey after what happened in book 1. The pain in which she suffered on a daily basis, my heart went out to her, but, there's always a but, what she put Kason through was absolutely unforgivable. I know she had her own issues and she felt like she was doing the right thing at the time but hell she did it anyway.

    E. K. Blair wove these characters into my heart and I felt like I was on the journey with them. They were both likeable but most of all relatable. Crave is a hard story to read but that's what I love the most about it. It makes you FEEL, think and process the depths of the main characters despair and their daily struggles they both had to endure because these exact struggles are felt by real people in the real world.

Thanks for an amazing story. Everything was put on hold until I finished this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars More beautiful, heartbreaking and devastating than part one!! Just perfect! And all the FEELS!!

Crave: Part Two continues right where Part One ends and it’s just as beautiful and emotional as the first book.
Crave: Part Two is different that the first book. It’s more heartbreakingly and even more devastating. To be honest I think I cried nearly the whole book, so have tissues prepared. It is just the perfect sequel to Crave: Part One. The story, the meaning and the love in this book is so much more that I thought it would be.

After the first book I never expected the book to get in this direction. Kason and Adaline are just everything. The perfect couple. Nothing can compare to this series. It’s a heartbreaking experience to read this book but you just have to read it. It is everything.

First I love the fact that this story is written from both pov's. I like how the story ends. It was a roller coaster ride and for a while I wasn't sure what would happen or if I'd like the trajectory. But it was done well and I'm glad

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 stars!! Fantastic conclusion to this duet!!

Crave Part 2 (Crave Duet #2) by EK Blair
    4.5 stars!!!

“You might have run away, but you never left me.”

OMG, EK Blair brought out her full emotional arsenal with the concluding part of this duet. Heart meet wringer with EK Blair cackling as she turns handle. This was another one of those books that left me emotionally drained, completely and utterly. This was one heck of a roller coaster; the highs were adrenaline high but the lows were emotionally terrifying.

“I get one thing and wish for the other, only to get that and wish for the opposite. Then I grow frustrated and pray for an escape I can’t seem to find. I’m stuck in perdition’s labyrinth with no way out.”

EK Blair has that knack of tying her characters to my fragile heart strings and having followed Ady and Kason’s story in part one and what with that ending, I knew that this was not going to be a walk in the park. What I didn’t realise was just how hard EK Blair would make it. EK Blair threw every single emotional bone in her body into this book and the reader feels it, every twist of the knife hurts like a mofo.

“I would’ve done anything to be in that nightmare with you just so you wouldn’t have had to be alone.”

After the ending of part one, we all knew what had happened to Ady, I’m not going to mention the word, just in case someone hasn’t read it yet, but it was this defining event that paved the way for book two. Here EK Blair excelled herself, the pain and agony that bled through the pages literally destroyed me. The anguish, the guilt, the ramifications were soul destroying, there wasn’t just one victim in this book, the reach was far and wide. At times, it was torture to read, but the more you fell into the dark abyss that Ady found herself in the more entrenched in the story you became. I couldn’t put it down.

As with any EK Blair read she makes you work for it and angst is her middle name. I loved these characters but some of their decisions did leave a lot to be desired. Frustrating and infuriating, but unless you have been in that situation I don’t think you can truly appreciate how thoughts and feelings, no matter if warranted, can warp your judgement. Yes, I wanted to bash heads against brick walls, but deep down I could understand somewhat even if my heart and soul didn’t like it one little bit. This was typical of EK Blair though, the road to her happy ever afters are fraught with obstacles, curves and bends, peaks and troughs, I lived and breathed them and was emotionally exhausted by the end.

“You were made to be healed and loved by me.”

My only gripe was Kason and his addiction. Introducing this affliction had me all excited in book one, but I never really felt we got to the crux of it in this book. I really wanted his back story explored, maybe as he healed, but we never really got that either. This book centred around Ady, but I would have loved to have had more Kason at times. Kason was such an interesting character, so broken in his own right, that I just wanted more of him. The relationship that Kason had with Ady’s mum brought me to tears and I was so glad that he truly had someone in his corner.

“I’m so alone, so miserable, so damn pathetic. Shameful, uncontrollable, and possibly even unlovable. Maybe it just took her this long to realize it.”

I loved this conclusion even though it killed me to get there. Kindles were thrown, tears were shed, but that is the sign of a good book. I ran the gamut of emotions, but I expect nothing less from EK Blair. Another great story from this author.
