Shelved as 'cheating'

UPDATE: Technically a lot of people, including the author, won't consider the hero a cheater. Read my notes below:

Ewwwww
Cheating hero. How is that romantic?
I hate cheating! Heroes who cheat are weak! Be a man and don't ever marry if you won't HAVETHE STRENGTH AND HUMAN QUALITY to stay loyal you jerk.

How am I suppossed to root for a boy like that?

I won't ever read. Not even when the author makes it a freebie. They usually make their cheating "romance" a freebie after a while.

Note: For the purpose of my reviews whatever activity with OW meaning kissing, trying to f@ck her, taking her to a hotel (even if later hero regrets it and "can't stop thinking about the heroine", watching her naked counts as disloyalty and cheating IF( and only IF) THIS HAPPENS AFTER H and h get together. I consider they're together once they have exchanged a kiss even if there's no promise of exclusivity. If it is before they kiss I have no problem, but if it's after they have kissed I hate it. It makes the Hero weak and childish. Second chance romance is also cheating for me.

Being in love with another woman is a huge cheating for me. The hero is cheating to himself, the heroine deserves better than being second best. I don't care if that's more realistic. I don't read romance to find realistic.

Note: I have a gazillion books in my TBR, my Kindle, my Kobo plus a scary to be re-read list. I post information of why I'm passing on a book so that I don't get to accidentally buy it when the book is on discount. I need to write these non-reviews to remember and to warn my friends who hate OW (other woman) but I encourage to take a look at this book if you don't mind OW.

Edited: well I went back and finished it.. Sad to say it didn't get any better, I mean I know after reading how he "chose" to heal ( yeah I know disgusting). And his words not mine. Hehe
Heroine was a completely doormat and he was an asshole.
Heroine had little to no experience at all, she only had 1 longtime boyfriend and he cheated on her with his PA.. 🙄 She didn't even know how to give a bj.
And I've seen reviews talking about the ending... Uhh unless I read another book I don't know what ending they're talking about because there was an engagement and a baby.

Heroine's brother was the dead wife's lover and baby daddy.

You know I ask myself why a man who supposedly loves his wife after she dies buried himself in alcohol and nameless women, I get the alcohol part but why women? Is it because he can't wait until the dead wife is buried to start sleeping around? So why not get a divorce?... I just don't get it.

If I die I told the hubby to wait at least 30 years until he start thinking about replacing me, of course I don't want him replacing me and I've told him I'll haunt his a** and his new woman a**.

WARNING!!!

RANT AHEAD!!!

Step away if you don't want to know.. Don't fucking blame me and don't come after me because of this review..

I thought I'll give this a chance.. First it had a dead wife trope which I don't like but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone but there's no fucking way that I'll finish this.. No fucking way no fucking how

You can be fucking sure I'll be getting my money back.

Nope nope and fucking nope.

This disgusting ass hero... I want to fucking throw up that is how much disgusting I find this hero.

What in the world this author possessed her to do this? Does she think it'll be angsty enough to throw this shit in too apart from the heroine being second best to his dead wife???

****SPOILER****

The piece of shit hero is sleeping with his dead wife's sister. Yeah you fucking read that right.
And I repeat in case you thought you read that wrong.
Hero is sleeping with his DEAD WIFE'S SISTER.
Let's also throw in how the "poor" wife was a cheating bitch and pregnant with her lover's baby to make it alright that he's a disgusting pig sleeping with her sister.

How disgusting and dirty he can be? To sleep with his sister in law??

I'm so fucking pissed.

And to fucking make matters worse.. He had met the heroine, he feels something for the heroine but he's getting a blow job from his sister in law.

“When Paige came back to town a year after I lost Shannon, she gave me someone to turn to. She fully understood my pain. Not only did I lose my wife and other half, she lost her sister and her best friend. We shared a pain no one understood. Losing Shannon was our connection.
One night, I was on a drinking bender, and when I got home, I saw Paige outside my house. My mind went blank and I thought it was Shannon. Without thinking, I took her inside my house and fucked her against the wall. From that night on, we came up with an agreement.
For two fucked-up people, we’re made for each other.
There’s no love or tender shit. We use each other for our own selfish pleasures. It’s a simple arrangement we have. I comfort her the only way I know how, and she gives me what I need. For the time I’m with Paige, I’m with Shannon too, and as fucked up as it all seems, it’s the only thing I know how to do”

I'll fucking rate this shit... It's my fucking right since I pay for it.

Ugh, That Ending

Not to give anything away, but boy did the ending of this book frustrate me. S. Moose gives her readers some pretty interesting characters, just as interesting backstories and then rushes the ending so much you don't know what in the heck happened.

Logan Davis is looking to love again, but finding it impossible when he is still in love with somebody else. His wife is gone, yet naturally still lives in his heart. Logan is racked with guilt about his wife's death and figures he's only worth the bottom of a whiskey bottle right now.

"She's the lightness I need, but can't have."

Hannah enters Logan's life at the perfect time, but he doesn't see that just yet. She is graduating college and moving to the big city for her first new job. Meeting Logan on a whim, Hannah learns she'll be living quite close to him now and they become fast friends.

Each character has some heartache in thier past, him more so than her, but both decide that the friend route would be best for now, too bad we all know that isn't going to work out. Friends turn into much more and Hannah turns into a pushover very quickly.

Logan morphed into a character I wasn't interested in anymore. He treated Hannah like crap constantly and that crazy girl put up with it. I get that Logan is wrecked from losing his wife, but come on, get some help instead of repeating the same mistakes over and over. And Hannah, she should have kicked him to the curb long ago, no matter how hot he was.

The book has a good premise, but took too long to get there and the serious stuff happened way to close to the end, so it felt rushed. It was a huge reveal that was just brushed under the rug and the end.

[1 star] did not like this book at all, mostly because i feel its too predictable. let me explain my point:

1) hero meets heroine and heroine says that she has a bf? when the heroine has a bf, there will definitely be someway the bf gonna fuck up the relationship so that she will become single in order to have a relationship with the hero, right? so hannah tried to call aaron and aaron did not pick up the phone, and she drives over to his house to look for him. at this stage, most readers would have know whats gonna happen. so i predicted correctly that aaron is fucking other woman in his house & got caught by hannah. predictable no?

2) when hannah mentioned her brother had passed away, i have 2 guesses, one being he is the driver that killed shannon, two being he is shannon's lover. so i'm right again.

3) when hannah was narrating the part where she is gonna prove to austen davis that she is very good at her job, i predicated this austen davis is somehow related to logan. because i dont see a point why the author would specifically wanna narrate she wanna prove to this specific person unless this person is connected to the hero. i'm right yet again.

other than that i think hannah is a doormat or a nicer way in saying is she is forgiving *roll eyes* like she just forgives logan so easily when he keeps fucking up. like wtf?

paige is schizophrenic crazy because her mood keeps changing. logan is an asshole who fucks his sister-in-law.

so overall i would say the book is too predictable. predictable = boring = shitty book
based on the above (longest review i have ever given about a book), i will not read other books from this author again.

What a total roller coaster of emotions this book will take you on—trust me, I went thru them all while reading this book.
After suffering through some pretty horrible losses fate intervenes and brings two broken souls together--Logan & Hannah. They meet at the right time but at the wrong moment in time. When he first sees Hannah, he is immediately drawn to her. Even though the attraction is definitely mutual, Logan is in no way able and fit for a relationship yet he keeps going around Hannah and they decide to be friends. But the fact that they are friends doesn’t stop the hard draw of attraction and want. There is a constant pull and push between these two. And on top of things, these two find they are linked in a way that could completely destroy anything they could be building together.
This story will tug at your heartstrings and will have you rooting for both of the main characters- Hannah and Logan. I felt so bad for them, the situation and the love they felt for one another. I wanted them to get their HEA and at times it seemed as if they were doomed to ever find it . S Moose has done it again with another emotional read, with awesome characters and a great story that has you emotionally invested in.

Not sure how I feel about this book to be honest. There are parts that I liked and enjoyed and then there are parts that had me shaking my head. Hannah is about to start a new chapter in her life with a new job in a new city. She is also dealing with having her heart broken by her first and only long term boyfriend. Then we have a brooding and tortured Logan who is dealing or not dealing with the death of his wife. I have to say I liked Hannah and Logan together but something was missing for me to feel the full connection. They kept going back and forth and it drove me nuts. One minute we are friends and the next we are in love and then we are back to friends. I had a bad case of whiplash with all this back and forth. I get that Logan has issues but his treatment of Hannah at times was brutal and not okay in my book. Hannah was too nice and too forgiving and I wanted her to develop a backbone and set Logan straight. As I said I ger he has issues but enough is enough. I really liked the supporting characters Eden and Lincoln. This story had a lot of potential but it just fell flat in some areas and then seemed rush in other areas. There is a secret revelation that I pretty much figured out from the beginning. I was hoping once this bombshell came to light we would have had some more angst. I felt everything was fixed up way too quickly. And then we have the ending of the story that I’m still trying to wrap my head around. When it's all said and done this was the kind of book that despite certain issues I found myself having to continue on and seeing what happened. So even though I didn't love it as much as I wanted I didn't hate it either. And I would most likely read another book by this author.

I didn’t hate this book and I like the author, but it was just too much drama and angst. I also do not like rose tinted glasses and romanticising relationships. The hero Logan and his dead wife Shannon did not have a great relationship, if she were still alive I doubt they would have been together. I also understand pain and grief, especially seeing as his wife turned out to be pregnant. But Logan’s pain and behaviour afterwards was crazy, especially after it was revealed she had an affair and the baby might not have been his, yet he still acted like she was the love of his life? Shannon was not a good person yet everyone still seemed to love her? It’s like she could do no wrong, it wasn’t believable. The twist that Michael was the person Shannon was cheating with, was unlikely as well. The whole Michael killing his self over losing Shannon was ridiculous as well, mental illness is a real thing, but was not necessarily depicted well here, as the idea he killed himself over the end of an affair, love or not is not really a reason. I also felt like Hannah was a consolation prize which never sits well with me. Also, the author was so kind and answered questions I have. But the fact she called the dead wife cheating, falling in love and getting pregnant by someone else, a rough patch is questionable. Also, she believes Logan would not have thought of leaving her if his ex had lived. So they would have miraculously been holt now they had a child that was not his? This just is not good and makes me dislike the story more if I am honest. So two unhappy people would have stayed together and a man would have been lied to and raised a child that was not his? She fell in love with another man that means you should not be married to the person you are with! Sorry but this book just did not handle so many things properly.

S. Moose... Gosh you know how to completely wreck me, and then put me back together. This book is everything and more. I went through so many emotions while reading this, I legitimately felt like I was on a roller coaster with my emotions. The way you write still astounds me. I felt like a character in the book. I felt their emotions. I felt the guilt, I felt the unease, I felt the happiness, but most of all I felt the weight of what this book entails, and with that, there are really no words to express how deeply rooted this book has embedded into my heart. I absolutely adored how you incorporated the title into this book as well. I read books, so I can understand more about how and what people are going through. I think it helps make me a better person. And your book will definitely help me view things differently. Before I actually get to more of the book, I want you to know that your dedication page touched me in so many ways. Most people would not take the time of day to say what you said. It truly shows your character, and what an awesome person you are. We need more people in this world like you. So for that, I thank you.

Logan is a 28 year old, and works in the market and development department at his fathers business. He is a man who lost everything, including his wife and child in a car accident two years ago. Every day he wakes up and feels nothing but guilt and loneliness. He doesn't know how to move on from the past, so he just feels the void with alcohol and nameless women who help him forget, all the while steering clear of any type of commitment because no one will ever live up to his wife.

"Each sip represents an escape route from my own head. It creates a path, a trail I can follow, where I forget and my world turns black. It's the only thing I can count on to take me away from the memories that haunt me."

Hannah is a 22 years old, getting ready to graduate from college and will be moving to New York with her best friend Eden for a job working in communication and marketing. She used to like to play the piano and can not dance. She also has known loss. Her brother overdosed two tears ago leaving her to pick up the tiny pieces. While still dealing with the grief, she has learned valuable tools to help her live her to the fullest since her brother died. To her, moving from home is a fresh start even though part of her will always remain in Ohio.

Hannah and Eden decide to visit New York, before actually moving there. Walking into the bar both Lincoln ( Logan's best friend ) and Logan can not take their eyes off the two women that walk in, when Lincoln saddles up to Eden, it leaves Logan and Hannah to fend for themselves. Logan finds himself wanting to talk to her more and to get to know her and not in the sense of taking her to bed. He just wants the friendship that she offers, but as time goes so do unwanted feelings. Does Logan let his guilt and grief get in the way or does he actually do what feels right to him for the first time in a long time?

I recommend this book to people believe in second chances, and to people who have had the weight of the world on their shoulders, because you are not alone and you can overcome anything.

Breathing You In by S. Moose was such an emotional and heartbreaking read. And I could not put it down. A man and a woman trying to recover from tragedies that touched their lives. One willing to move forward and the other has no idea how to live anymore.

Logan Davis lost his wife and unborn child two years ago. He hit rock bottom and never came back up again. Barely surviving, he numbs himself with alcohol and wrong decisions. He has no idea how to live. He blames himself. Logan broke my heart. He was not a bad guy, but his guilt brought the worse out of him and in turn, out on everyone around him. He was a broken and lost man.

Hannah Harris is ready to start her life. Graduating from college and set to start a new job in a new state, she meets Logan one night and they strike up an unlikely friendship. Hannah’s last couple of years have not been easy. A family tragedy and a broken heart follow her to her new start, but she really was a breath of fresh air. She was strong, but also easy going, loving and caring. She had a big heart.

When Hannah and Logan meet, they feel a connection. They become friends and quickly realize they have a lot in common. Though both realize there is more there, Logan has a push and pull relationship with Hannah. Hurting her without meaning too, he decides friends is all they can be, but can they really fight the strong and powerful connection they feel? When secrets and lies arise, can they make it through or will it all fall apart?

This was such an emotional and heartbreaking read. Both characters went through so much. But in their own way, they were strong and determined and had to learn to navigate through the obstacles standing in their way. My heart broke so many times. But this truly a second chance at finding love story with hope and redemption. I was consumed by this story from start to finish!

S.Moose as done it again! Breathing You In, is absolutely amazing. From start to finish I was hooked and couldn't put my kindle down.

Logan Davis, is a broken, shattered soul that is eaten by gilt and as major demons. He lost his wife and unborn child about two years ago. Since then he hasn't stopped grieving, turning to hooking up with random girls, to drinking away the pain just to feel numb. That is still he meets Hannah one night.

Hannah Harris is just graduating college and is moving from Ohio to New York. She's excited to start her new life and job. She is also suffering from a lost of her own.

The chemistry between the two is off the charts when they first meet. They can't get each other out of their heads and start a friendship.

Not wanting to give anything way, I'll just say this. Breathing You In, is beautiful written. The characters I felt for, and the subject matter of alcohol abuse, drugs and addiction hit home for me on a personal level. At times I wanted to yell at Logan and then were times I wanted to hug him and make him feel better.

If you are looking for a story that as tension, angst, heart break, and suspension then this is definitely for you. You will smile, laughs, be angry at parts and cry.

Well done S.Moose, you did an amazing job with this book. Can't wait to see what's next from you. 5 stars!!

"I am a believer that you meet people at the time you most need them in your life. Two years have passed since the day that Logan lost his wife Shannon and their unborn baby. When Hannah walks into that bar that night, an invisible tether formed between Logan and Hannah. It also helped that her best friend Eden was falling for his best friend, Lincoln. Up until Hannah arrives, Logan exists on one night stands and bottles of whiskey. There is something about Hannah that makes Logan want to be a better man for her, but his heart and emotions take longer to convince.

This was my first story by this author and I can't wait to read more. I loved how Hannah totally supported Logan through his demons without being a total doormat. This is a story of acceptance and letting go of guilt and regrets. Logan wazs written so that the reader understands his venerability. This is a story of support and unconditional love and accepting those people and situations that are put in your path. ""We are not promosed tomorrow, so we have to live the fullest of each day."""

This was um different, 😳🤔. It wasn't a bad read but in my opinion it was just different.

Logan couldn't open up his heart to anyone since he was still living in the past but his present was dark and I found extremely weird and a bit disturbing how he tried to "heal" but it was more with whom that had me like ohhhhh okkkkk. It was a bit sick but that was his ways. He always seemed a bit moody but when he was sweet he was adorable.

Hannah also had some trust issues but they weren't as crazy as Logan. She was the light that he needed and things seem to be working for them until they both discovered at the same time how connected they were with things from the past. This revelation I did not see coming. But besides that Hannah was a little too sweet and forgiving when it came to Logan and his moods. I tried understanding him several times and I understood why he sensed and felt that protection over Hannah but sometimes his toned turned me off.

They had great supporting friends especially Logan. Now the ending, 🤔.

I gave this book 4.5 stars!

Wow! What a roller coaster of emotions I went on reading this book. Ms. Moose knows how to tear you down and put you all back together in one book. From the start of this book we get to feel everything that that Logan has lost all the way to the end to where he get to finally heal and love again. I don't want to say to much, but it is defiantly so worth the time to read this Amazing story of Logan and Hannah.

Logan is trying to figure out how to move on from losing his wife and unborn child, two years after the fact. He drowns his sorrows in work and alcohol. He still meets with his two best friends from a night out but his memories that haunt him the most are his empty home. One night out he meets Hannah. He isn't looking for love but maybe a one night stand. Hannah tells Logan that she has a boyfriend and they just talk. Hannah and Logan exchange numbers because she is moving there for a job in the coming weeks and Logan wants to show her around.

Logan and Hannah have a different kind of relationship. Logan feels something for her but doesn't think he can be with her because he loves his wife and cant get over that fact. Hannah has experience a loss of her brother to. She can feel what Logan is going through and helps him see that they can still love and move on. When Logan discovers a secret that his wife was keeping, and he hits rock bottom can Hannah be the one to help or will Logan discover that he has to help himself?

There was times in this book I felt that Logan didn't disserve Hannah and felt she should have moved on, but at other times I'm glad that she stuck it out with him. I feel that the ending was rushed and would have liked to seen it dawned out a little more. Over all this was a fantastic read.

**I was given this book in exchange for an honest review***
I don't know where to even start. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved it. It captivated me from the start. Logan is in a bad spot in his life. He wanted love but felt he didn't deserve anything good. Hannah was trying to move on and find the right one. They just happen to cross each other's paths in a bar and that's all it took. They became fast friends and I have to hand it to Hannah, she stuck it out when I felt she should just cash in and run. Logan made no bones about how he felt when he was in his dark mood and Hannah was so understanding and really just trying to give him all the support he needed. He never made it easy for her. Some people may feel she was a doormat but I felt like she knew deep down that whatever happened to him in his life was bad and he needed to grieve and forgive himself.

I can't get into much detail because I don't want to give anything away but so many things happen, some that will surprise you, some that will make you angry and some that just makes you feel for them both. I wish the ending wasn't as rushed as it felt, that's the only negative. I felt I needed more closure to them but this should not deter you from reading this book.

4.5 stars!!! Hooked from beginning to end!

Logan has been dealing with grief since he lost his wife and Hannah is starting anew since her boyfriend cheated on her. They meet one night while out with their friends Lincoln and Eden who by the way are awesome! :) They both weren't ready for anything serious, but I loved seeing their friendship grow. I didn't agree with the things Logan was doing, but I'm glad he started to see he needed help. Go on this journey with Logan and Hannah. As secrets are revealed and their relationship is tested, can they survive it all? You have to read and find out!

Whewy, you can Breath again after reading this story! Your emotions are on a rollercoaster just like Logan and Hannah experience in this story. While some may have mixed emotions on this, I believe the author did a great job at telling the story and the emotions it takes most people to move past their loss and to realize they can have a second chance at love and still hold that special spot for their love that was lost all too soon.
That prologue hooks you and leaves your mouth hanging open, let me tell you. That alone keeps you turning the page waiting for when the bomb will drop on if Logan will ever find out about this revelation. Sad, gasping tears while feeling bad that he is torturing himself when he really shouldn’t be. Gosh, I wish I could say so much more on this and can’t. The revelation may be seen coming for some and not for others, it took me awhile and I was like, ‘NO’ that is just downright cruel on all ends. But…this is reality and it does happen. Just read the story and find out the who, what, where, why and the how of this bomb dropper.
Logan has tortured himself for two years after the loss of his wife, he deals with this by spiraling down the rabbit hole of alcohol. He has a ton of guilt and has many broken demons to move on with his life. He meets Hannah and that alone is too funny, cause fate kinda intertwines these two quite a few times. You shall see why!! But..he makes her feel things he hasn’t in a long time. Guilt it the major one, but she brings out a side of him that is well overdue to come out.
Hannah is fighting her own hurt. Forget the boyfriend deal, let’s talk about the loss of her brother. Therefore, she can relate to Logan. Well, OK, somewhat, maybe?! They both have dealt with loss, while not the same it kinda is for these two. Mr. and Mrs. Davis are awesome, just saying. Hannah’s only downfall was being too nice when it came to Logan and his actions.
I love the supporting characters and hope we see a story on them down the road. The only disappointing takeaway I can say about the book, is that there was no Epilogue. OK, yes, I know not all books have these, but you will see why there should be something than just how it ended. Does that mean, we get more on these two and that is why? Maybe, yes. Haha
Can you move on and still hold onto the love that you lost and equally love again without feeling guilty is the question to ask yourself while reading this? Some take longer than others and the support of others is a major factor into moving forward. You will laugh, cry, feel both of these characters POV and at times you may want to shake one of them, but it is a story that leaves you knowing that with tragedy can come happiness when you are ready.

*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

If you are looking for an emotional and heartwarming read, look no further!

After suffering through loss, fate intervenes and brings two broken souls together. Logan Davis is drowning in grief and guilt with no hope for the future unless he can find it at the bottom of a glass of whiskey. When he first sees Hannah, he is immediately drawn to her. Even though the attraction is mutual, Logan is in no way ready for a relationship, so they decide to be friends. The only problem with that is the fact that they can't fight the force pulling them together. There is a constant pull and push between these two. It seems for every step forward they take there are two steps back. As if that's not enough to deal with, these two are linked in away that could destroy anything they might be building together.

Gosh, I really cannot put into words how much I loved this book! Yes, it is emotional. Yes, you will need some Kleenex and possibly a good stiff drink while reading, but it is SO worth it! I fell in love with Hannah and Logan and so wanted them to find their happily ever after! Hannah is kind, patient, and filled with compassion. While my heart broke for Logan, there were times when I wanted to give him a good swift kick in the butt. This is a beautiful story of second chances, and it is one of those books you won't want to miss! Hurry up, and one click it now! I promise you will be very glad you did!

Awesome job, S. Moose!!

I actually finished this book a few days ago, but it honestly took me that long to get my feelings together after finishing. Here it is days later, and I am still thinking about this book. It is very emotional from start to finish. This book will take you on a journey of pain, suffering, loss, love, and second chances.

I am going to be careful writing this review because this is a book that needs to be read from start to finish. Logan is a character that I felt so much sorrow for. He lost so much at once and never truly knew how to move on. He was holding onto the past with such a strong force, but the minute he meets Hannah his whole world starts to shift. At first, Logan fights his feelings for Hannah and tries everything to keep her in the friend zone, but those plans quickly change the more he realizes the true beauty inside of her.

Hannah is probably one of the most compassionate characters I have ever read about. She has suffered through her own tragic experiences, but she puts aside her feelings for Logan. She is there with him through every step of the way, and I honestly don’t know how she made it.

This story definitely took me on an emotional roller coaster ride to hell and back again. My heart literally broke into several times. The only thing that I hope for is more of the story. I was left a bit confused and frustrated towards the end, and felt like the story needed more. At least I wanted more, and I hope that the author at least brings in a novella because I would love to see these two again.

Breathing You In by S. Moose is a straight up roller coaster of a ride. I felt so many different emotions in this book I am still ensure of how I feel about certain aspects. Logan is my main concern. I am unsure of exactly how I feel about his character. He has a lot of built up anger and grief but he lets it pull him to such an ugly place. Then you have beautiful Hannah who has also experienced tragedy as well as loss and is in such a happy place. They are polar opposites of each other.

Shannon I disliked her from the first chapter even though she wasn't a solid character throughout the book. Paige turned me off as well. The way some of the character's in this book display themselves is downright disgusting. Yet the way Hannah carries herself and helps build Logan back to the man he once was helps bring this book back to life for me. She erases his poor attitude and horrible demeanor.

I can say she is a better woman that I will ever be. I know I could not stay with someone who pulled me in and pushed me away in the manner in which Logan treats Hannah. It's demeaning. She is such a sweet loveable girl and so innocent. Logan is great when he isn't being an absolute A**.

Once I got the just of Logan and seen why he is the way he is I was able to enjoy the book.

I'm so excited to be a part of the release blitz for Breathing You In, the latest novel from author S. Moose! This is the story of Logan and Hannah. Logan is a successful and hardworking businessman but is sad and broken after losing his wife two years earlier. Hannah is a new college graduate ready to take on the world, although her family as also experienced tragedy. There is an instant connection between Logan and Hannah, although they decide to just be friends. As they draw closer to one another, they both question if they can make it work while Logan continues battling the demons of his past.

I will start with Hannah, because she was just an all-around fantastic character. She has experienced plenty of her own pain in life, yet maintains such a positive outlook on the world. Smart, beautiful, career-oriented, and a great friend are just a few of Hannah's wonderful traits. However, I have to admit that I was occasionally frustrated with her dedication to Logan. Don't get me wrong, I also loved Logan, but there were times I hoped Hannah would have stood up for herself more.

Logan is sexy, smart, successful, and at times, very sweet and romantic. The problem? Logan remains devastated over the loss of his high-school sweetheart and hasn't been able to move on and let go. I certainly sympathized with his character while reading and there were moments in the novels where I was completely in love with this character. But there were other times I honestly felt like he took things to far.

Despite numerous sad or emotional moments regarding the losses they have experienced, the novel radiates love, chemistry and just gives you that feeling of "meant to be." I absolutely loved Logan and Hannah's story! Breathing You In is a prefect blend of romance, conflict, new beginnings, and the path to becoming your best self.

Breathing You In has you hooked from the prologue. It is the story of Logan who was betrayed and has struggled with loss and Shannon who has also dealt with loss and heartbreak.

Since the death of his wife, Logan drinks and sleeps around to forget the pain and guilt.

When Shannon and Logan meet they have an instant connection. Shannon has a way of calming Logan’s fears, anxiety and guilt and he slowly begins to open up to her.

“I truly believe that we’re not meant to dwell on the sadness. What we experience in life helps us grow and empowers us to move forward and do something good in our life.”

They start a relationship when Hannah moves to NY and ends up working for his dad.

Shannon is sweet, understanding and helps Logan with his demons.

Towards the end of the book there is a revelation which I didn’t expect and it throws you for a loop.

My only criticism is that the book ended abruptly without an epilogue.

I enjoyed Breathing You In and I look forward to S. Moose’s next release.

I totally have a love/hate (much more love ❤️) relationship with this author. She knows how to completely destroy me (hence the hate) but she knows how to weave a beautiful tale that puts my broken heart back together (hence the love). I feel like I have gone through the emotional ringer with this book. The book has been so well written that the characters feel so real and their emotions are so raw that they seep off the pages and under your skin making you feel it all along with them.

Logan is man who has lost everything that mattered, his wife and child, in an accident 2 years prior. he is barely surviving, feeling only guilt and loneliness. He is stuck going through the motions unable to move on, filling the emptiness with booze and nameless women, avoiding any type of commitment as no one will ever compete with his wife for his affections.

Hannah is a 22 year old who has also know loss after her brother OD'd 2 years prior. She is still grieving but has learnt to live her life to the fullest since her brother died.

When she visits New York before moving there with a friend, she meets Logan in a bar. She intrigues him from the beginning, he wants to get to know her, so they start a tentative friendship.

Even though you know what is going to happen, feelings develop, guilt manifesting for Logan etc this book is completely gripping. I loved their relationship and chance that was given at a second chance at happiness. The chemistry between Hannah and Logan is off the charts. The subject mater of alcohol abuse, drugs and addiction was well handled and written that it hits home for you.

You will cry, you will laugh, you will be angry and you will smile but you will love every single word in this book as S Moose has knocked it out of the park with this amazing read.

Breathing you in was a beautifully emotional story that really exposed the aftermath of grief that people experience when they loose someone they love. S. Moose completely captured the emotions of both of these characters within this story and their writing style completely showed the chemistry between the two characters.

Hannah was a strong and was a completely caring character that was really there for the other main character Logan. The way that she was there for him without expecting anything back from him showed how much of a loving and caring character she was.

Logan was going through so much hurt that saw him turning to alcohol and women. It was evident how devastated he was losing his wife and the guilt he felt with the argument he had with his wife before he death. But it was evident how was a caring character that went through a lost of heartbreak.

Breathing you in is about two characters that have both experienced lost coming together and being friends. However, is there more going on then just friendship or is their feelings for each other more then just friends.

I absolutely loved both of these characters and the storyline of this story. I couldn’t get enough of this story from the moment I started reading this. However, I felt that the end was rushed a bit. But it didn’t stop how much I enjoyed this story.

Breathing You In by S. Moose is a full-length stand-alone romance novel.
Meet Logan. He´s not only broken, he´s shattered and eaten by guilt, has major demons. His wife and unborn child died 2 years ago in a car crash and he can´t stop grieving. He has some unhealthy habits, but more later.
Then he meets Hannah at a bar. He´s smitten with her but don´t act on it.
Hannah Harris is a fresh from college garduate and about to start her first job in a new city and a new company.
Let me tell you this book gutted the hell out of me. My heart ached for the characters, truly. But sometimes I just wanted to yell at Logan.
This book deals with sensitive objects like drug and alcohol abuse and addiction.
But I loved the words and the writing. This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. I smiled, laughed, cried and was angry at some point. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but S. Moose has accomplished just that. I love the story, the characters and the words.
I give 4,5 stars. Thank you S. Moose!

S. Moose got me again with Breathing You In. At first I wasn't sure I how I was feeling with this book but by the end the author had me falling in love with the characters and this story. This book starts right of the bat with powerful plot twists that leave you devouring the pages desperate for answers. This book knows how to wreck your emotions. S. Moose brought the angst and feels from begining to end. Moose drew you into her characters and plot with overwhelming emotion. The banter and dialogue between Hannah and Logan had you swooning one moment and your heart breaking the next. I love how although it was Hannah and Logan story, you felt connected to absolutely all the characters of this story. The chemistry and emotion of this novel will sizzle from your kindle and crackle right into your heart!

Logan's character brought out every emotion in me throughout this story. I never wanted to punch a character in the face one minute, and want to break down and cry for him the next. Reading Logan's struggle to over come his grief and heartache hit close to home for me after expirencing my mother going through the loss of my father. I felt the author handled the tough subject of loss and grieving and turned it into a powerful message of healing and finding your light in the dark. Logan's journey to healing was certainly a emotionally charged ride.

Hannah's character pulls at many emotions of your emotions as well. I adored her sweet loving nature, and truly felt her character was just what Logan needed. But other times I wanted to smack her for being so naive. I love strong female leads, and I felt at times Hannah's strength wavered and was lost. With all that said I understand why the author did it. This story wasn't just about Logan healing but Hannah healing the demons that haunted her heart as well.

If your looking for angst and a ugly cry or two then Breathing You In is a perfect choice. It takes you on twisting, turning ride of two characters not only learning to love each other, but themselves. 4&1/2 stars well earned.
