I think his tongue is somehow double-jointed. And the size correlation between hands and manhood are spot on. Spot on. He got the golden ticket of genetics.

I absolutely love Katherine Stevens. Her ”ELEVATOR” series was phenomenal to me. It was incredibly steamy and funny, and I loved the characters. So when I saw she had a new book out and I took a look at the beautiful cover, there was nothing and no one that was going to get in my way of reviewing this book! I think because I know how incredibly talented the author is, I have set very high standards for her. I am so sad and it pains me to say this book didn’t work for me. I really don’t even want to write a negative review because I feel terrible that I couldn’t connect to this book. I will say that I REALLY LOVED the hero and maybe that’s why I wasn’t over the moon for this book. I thought he was sexy and sweet but way too naïve and the heroine was not in the least bit worthy of him. I never warmed up to her and I didn’t feel the chemistry between them.

Ben runs his own business. He takes care of plants in offices. Money is kind of tight but he gets by. When his father gets diagnosed with cancer and he doesn’t have sufficient benefits to pay for the best treatment available, Ben decides he is going to do whatever it takes to make the money needed. A perfect side job that pays really well and off the books just happens to fall right into his lap. One of his clients offers him a job that involves entertaining wealthy beautiful women at parties all over Miami. He’s told where to go. A chauffeur picks him up and takes him home and even his wardrobe is picked out for him. He’s never given specific instructions about what he is to do so he assumes he’s just a paid escort. Ben ends up having some pretty wild sexual escapades with some of his clients but he thinks that is all on his own time and off the books. Poor Ben! I wondered how he could seem so responsible and had his head on straight when it came to taking care of his family but then so naïve when it came to this ”side job”.

During one of his jobs, he runs into the beautiful but abrasive Miryam. She’s out with her girlfriends for her bachelorette party. They accidentally bump into each other and Ben spills his drink all over her blouse and while trying to dry her off, he gets punched in the face for being wrongfully accused by Miryam of attempting to grope her. They will meet up a few times afterward when she hires him to act as her fiancé at different events where her blind grandmother will be present because Miryam is too afraid to tell her that her engagement is over. Each time they are together, Miryam is exceptionally rude and belligerent. I didn’t like how she was always either slapping or punching Ben. I thought maybe as the story progressed and things began to heat up between the two, that I would end up liking her but since I could never feel the chemistry between the two characters, I also didn’t end up liking Miryam one bit.

There was some laugh out loud moments. I loved some of Ben’s inner monologues and I kept chuckling every time his best-friend was in a scene because of the name the author gave him—STEED! Have you ever met anyone with that name? I know I haven’t and I just thought the name was pretty funny. So other than loving the Hero and getting a kick out of his friend’s name, there wasn’t anything else I really liked about the story.

But maybe what is a 3 star read for me, will be a 5 star read for others. I know that even though this book is my least favorite by this author, I will still read whatever she writes in the future and I feel such remorse over having to write a less than favorable review.

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Hero: 4.5
Heroine: 1
Plot: 3
Angst: 0
Steam: 4
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 1

This book is ridiculously hilarious. I'm not sure how Katherine manages to make something that should be so serious into something that make me laugh so hard I almost cried several times, but she sure did. If you enjoy laughing until you almost pee your pants, then you should definitely pick up this book.

Accidental Man Whore kinda sneaked up on me. The humor was subtle, it let you decide what you find funny or not—for me that was the best part because both characters took everything at its face value so it just multiplied the hilarity of their actions or thought processes.

4 Water My Plant CROWNS

Accidental Manwhore by Katherine Stevens is a fun and light read that will keep readers entertained.

Ben has found himself in the escort business. Trying to help his family, he lands himself in very odd situations that a young and virile man is helpless to take advantage of. These encounters, along with his internal dialogue, make for some interesting scenes. The author does, however, show us a sweet side that will hook readers in.

Miri is a heroine who doesn't hold back, but she is also the typical live life by the expectations, or her perceived expectations, of others. When she lets herself go, particularly with Ben or her best friend Sheba, is when readers get to see the fun heroine.

The heroine and hero's stories take a bit to intertwine, but the author uses this time to develop those characters. When they do finally meet, it is in less than stellar conditions, and it gives lasting jokes for the remainder of the story, I definitely enjoyed the romance more once these two started to connect emotionally as well as physically. The conflict is light and is resolved easily, adding to light rom-com feel of the whole book.

If you want something light, sexy, and fun then Accidental Manwhore is the book for you. It delivers on all three in spectacular form.

Pure and perfect romantic comedy!

Accidental Man Whore features two stories of two very different people that collide halfway. Ben and Miryam was never meant to meet and fall madly in love but destiny had other plans for them.

Ben was the best son in the world. He would do anything for his dad. And when I say anything, I mean, anything. So when his dad got sick and didn’t have insurance to pay for the treatment, Ben decided to get a second job to help his dad, because his own business wouldn’t make all the money he needed fast enough. And this was when his streak of good luck started. He got a job that paid one grand a night and all he had to do was “entertain” women. And then, these women wanted to have sex with him and he thought it was fine because they were hot and he wanted them. But of course, his boss wouldn’t know about it. It would be their little secret. And then women started paying five grands for private parties and he thought it was fine because he would cover his dad treatment faster and he’d have fun in the process… You see where this is going, right? Well, he was the hottest manwhore in Miami and he didn’t even know. Until one client required him to pretend to be her fiance, and everything changed.

And this was cue to Miryam’s story. She was a successful lawyer with a successful career and a successful fiance. They’d have a successful marriage with 2.5 kids and life couldn’t be perfect. Until it wasn’t anymore and she couldn’t tell her blind grandmother that her asshole of a fiance was a cheating whore—and he didn’t get paid to have sex, stupid bastard. Anyway, she decided to tell a white lie and hire an “escort” to pretend to be her fiance and keep the lie until her grandmother was ready to hear the truth.

And this is when love was found in the less expected circumstances.

Accidental Man Whore is the kind of rom-com I love to read. It was obviously funny and romantic, but it had other elements I love in books as well, such as awesome pets—Mr. T was the best ferret ever—amazing best friends—can I wish for Sheba and Steed book, please?—awesome family members—Ben’s dad and brother and Miryam’s grandma were great too—and of course a storyline that had me stick to my iPad for almost 10 hours. It’s been awhile since I finish a book in a day and it felt amazing.

All in all, Accidental Man Whore is 200% recommended for all lovers of rom-com who likes to have a good laugh and fall in love with these extraordinaire characters.

Accidental Man Whore is the second rom com I have read by Katherine Stevens and I still find her to mix wit and heat in a way that kept me wanting to turn the pages. Miryam and Ben's story is fun and unique, a twist on the man whore romance genre. I found Ben to be completely lovable and endearing. His reasoning for why he takes money to be a stand in fiancé is sweet and kind.

Overall, this was a fast and funny read. The only thing I can say that would have improved the story for me would be to have the couple get together or at least properly meet earlier on. While many reader probably loved seeing how he got into the escort profession in detail and the downfall of her relationship I personally didn't need as much as we got. It didn't drag or anything, this is just a personal preference.

The title literally says it all! LMFAO! This book was freakin' awesome! Katherine Stevens knows how to write a great RomCom. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. My daughter kept telling me to be quiet and then she would ask me what was happening in the book. She is 15 mind you and we have a pretty open relationship, so, of course, I had to divulge a little to her.

When I first started reading this book, I wasn't sure what to think of the lead male character Ben. My first thought was this guy is a bit of a geek, he runs his own plant care business and some of his clients are hysterical. For one his profession is a unique one, one that I have never read about and the author does a great job at explaining what it is that Ben does on a daily basis. Who would have thought that you could make money watering plants and caring for them in office buildings? Ben has recently had a bit of bad news, his father has been diagnosed with butt cancer and being a veteran, they go to the local VA Hospital. When the treatment plan is not what they expect and it is going to take way longer than they like, they reach out to Ben's father's longtime friend and doctor about paying cash...yes you heard me right. They want to pay cash for butt surgery and cancer treatment. When the final cost is given, Ben has to think fast and figure out just where he is going to get the money from...hence the title of this book.

Seriously! You need to pick this one up NOW! It is hysterical. Ben's dad is a nut case, his best friend Steed is whacked as well and his pet ferret, Mr.T, who suffers from birth trauma will have you laughing so hard, you just might pee your pants. Throw in a now single, Jewish heroine named Miryam and her crazy best friend Sheba, yes, I said Sheba and you have the makings of an absolutely awesome, funny RomCom that be read in a few short hours. So, if you are looking for a refreshing storyline and some awesome one-liners, with a quote-unquote escort, grab your copy now and sit back and laugh and swoon a little and laugh some more.

Who doesn't love a good Rom-Com and Katherine Stevens writes a great Rom-Com. It's a funny, flirty, sexy storyline that will have you smiling all the way through at the craziness going on throughout the book. The characters are lovable and very down to earth with real life problems that will only endear them to you more.

Now with this being a Rom-Com i'm not going to spoil all the crazy and funny moments. Ben is a super sweet man that just doesn’t get it sometimes and it leads him to a funny situation. Miryam was a very smart funny woman. But after being left weeks before her wedding by a douchebag she found love in an unexpected way. I loved how they got to their very funny HEA.

With fantastic secondary characters this book will have you smiling and giggling while reading. I loved Mr. T and Miryam's grandmother, Bubbie she was hilarious.....

Accidental Man Whore is hysterical, no one does romantic comedy quite like Katherine Stevens. Katherine gets her characters in the strangest situations imaginable and you never quite know what will ensue, but you can guarantee that the antics will be hilarious!

"I clean up pretty good. No one would suspect I drive a windowless van."

Ben was the sweetest dumb hero I've ever met! I know that he may be off-putting to some readers, but I just adored him and wanted to squeeze his cheeks and smack him on the butt! Everything he did, he did for his family and he was so sensitive and swoony.

"She's like a black-market firework - it's exciting and beautiful, but you might lose your hand."

Miryum was kind of annoying and rude, to begin with, but as you get to know her you will start to love her! She is feisty and protective of her friends and family.

Although I loved Ben and Miri, her grandmother was a showstopper and scene stealer. She was the Jewish grandmother I've never had and isn't afraid to say what is on her mind!

If you're looking for an out of the box romantic comedy, then Accidental Man Whore is exactly what you need!

I really wanted to love Accidental Manwhore, I mean that title alone should have had this book whore in heaven, but sadly it didn’t and let me tell you it is absolutely killing me that I didn’t love it. It had the promise, it should have worked for me, so I am not sure if it was my mood, that I am in a wicked book hangover from some really emotionally draining books as of late or if it was the fact that I couldn’t connect with the characters, but whatever the reason may be don’t let me not liking it hold you back from reading it. It will most likely work great for others and maybe if I had read it at another I would have enjoyed it more.

How does a guy end up being an escort and how does his life look like? In Katherine Stevens’s Accidental Manwhore we get to know Ben, who ends up in the business by accident, and Miryam, who needs some help when her fiancé dumps her. Their story made me smile.
“Tonight feels warmer than most. Rendering someone speechless leaves me speechless. He looks… enchanted.”

Ben is a hard-working guy with his own business. He could use some more income, but he’s doing fine and he likes his work. When a client approaches him for something totally different, Ben suddenly finds himself in some surprising situations, but he enjoys the perks of his new side job as an escort. When he’s hired as a ‘fiancé’ by a dumped woman it’s a different gig for a change, and it doesn’t take long before he starts to see more in Miryam.

Miryam thought she had her life planned out; the right study, the right job and the right fiancé. Until he dumps her for his assistant, leaving Miryam to deal with the mess. Getting dumped is bad, but Miryam is more ‘afraid’ for the reaction of her family, especially her meddling grandmother. So, she and her friends come up with the brilliant idea to hire a guy the play her fiancé, to postpone the news a bit. Ben is perfect for the job, and soon Miryam starts to see him in a different way.
“I want to kiss you again, but I’m scared to. Are you going to hit me?” “No. I promise not to hit you.”

Accidental Manwhore is a standalone book, and told in a double POV. The first part of the book is mostly form Ben’s POV, telling about his daily life, and his sudden side job as an escort. Like other books by this author this story is easy to read; no flowery monologues or deep inner thoughts, just an entertaining story about real-life issues.

I love Miryam and Ben. Not only as a couple, but also as individuals. I felt sorry for Miryam, her ex really hurt her feelings, but I didn’t understand why she wanted to hide it for her family. Well, that was until they got into the picture. I probably would have done the same. Ben Ben Ben… He’s a good guy but he is a wee bit naive in the beginning. My only issue with Accidental Manwhore is that it takes some time before Ben and Miryam meet, and even longer before they become a couple. We see Ben in action (totally hot) throughout the book , but I wanted more of him and Miryam.
“Did you just say you loved me while we’re sitting in a police interrogation room?” She laughs. It’s a sound I’m certain I’ll never get tired of.”

I’ve enjoyed reading Accidental Manwhore, I give this story 4 stars.

Another AH-MAZE-ING Katherine Stevens story!! One that I spent time laughing, shaking my head and inwardly cringing as I read it.

Ben needs money, FAST, to help take care of his father’s medical bills. So he finds a second job. What he doesn’t realize is what all goes into that job. Or what he’s supposed to be doing.

Miryam is in the process of planning her wedding to the “perfect for her” David. Until he cheats on her and breaks up with her and she needs a backup for family events.

I can’t decide if Ben was just driven by desperation to earn money, clueless and naive, or just oblivious into how he ends up becoming an escort.

I hope Steed and Sheba have a story! I have a feeling they’ll be a crazy couple.

Funny and sexy!

Who thinks male escorts can be funny? Well, if that said male escort is requested to attend a Jewish ceremony he knows nothing about, then yeah, things can get awkward and hilarious fast! As for the sexy part, that can be assumed from the title, I suppose!

The real question, I suppose is, how does one become an accidental manwhore? I will let Ben tell you about that part, though! All I can say is you're gonna enjoy every minute of this book, especially with a cranky father, stubborn Bubbie, crazy friends, a bad-a$$ ferret, and a questionable vehicle choice.

I was provided a copy for review purposes.

I'm surprised, I actually really enjoyed this lol. It was a lot of fun and really enjoyable. I wish it hadn't been so rushed at the end and I feel like 50 more pages would have helped develop the characters' relationship a bit more. I went into this with no expectations because of that title lol, but yeah, I actually really liked it.

English/spanish review
Well I had never read a book by Katherine Stevens, I did not know what to expect, but the title and synopsis called me like a mermaid, and I was not disappointed, I liked the story a lot.
It's a light, funny and sexy story, without much drama, fast read and entertaining.
Ben is a handsome guy who has his own business, likes it and provides him with he needs to live. But unfortunately his father is sick and has to pay him the medical bills, which are very expensive and because of that he decides to look for an alternative job to help pay for them. But the "job" he gets is a little different than he believes, since according to him he was going to entertain women at private parties. What happens is that his idea of entertainment and that of women is very different, jejjejeje, poor Ben has no idea what awaits him.
Miryam is a beautiful, independent girl and lawyer, who is going to marry her fiance. Until he decides to dump her to stay with his assistant. The poor Miryam does not know what to do to not disappoint her grandmother, Bubbie, and then decides to hire a escort, so she will not have to tell her grandmother that she broke up with her boyfriend.
Their relationship begins unconventional, and rude, but as time goes by and they relate, the feelings of both are changing, and both realize that they are attracted to each other and that they really want the relationship, the truth is I loved them both together, made me laugh, blush and sigh. The problem is when Ben realizes that he was hired as a male prostitute and his "madame" does not want to end the contract and can end up in jail.
I loved Ben's dad, all rude and impertinent, but at the same time tender, and I love his relationship with his sons.
Now Bubbie, Myriam's grandmother, is a love, I loved her, her won my heart, is a unique character. And as she loves her granddaughter, her unique relationship, I loved it.
Ben's ferret and how Ben cares about him was very sweet too.
Friends, I love, complemented the story very well.
If you want a fun, sexy and refreshing story, this is perfect for you.

A delightfully romantic and raucously funny read. The characters were engaging and the story was effortless.
I liked Ben, he was an affable guy, the sort of guy that any mother would secretly hope that her daughter will bring home one day (or maybe that’s just me), because this guy was exactly who and what the title implied but it truly was for the best possible reason.
Ben was a normal everyday guy, honest, hardworking and sinfully good looking but for me his best feature was the fact that he had a heart of gold and despite working hard to make a success of his own business when his father gets sick, he finds himself in a bind with limited options on how to help with the mounting medical bills.
An honest guy he takes up a second job to fund the medication that his dad so desperately needs but it is the nature of that job that was always going to raise an eyebrow or two, because Ben flexes his assets and picks up some additional work as an Escort.
Now I am not one to complain, the picture I have of him in my head from the very vivid descriptions that the author used means that I think he was a shoe in for the role but it wasn’t exactly what he wanted to be doing and hence his reticence.
From the blurb, you get the idea of what is to come for him but in all honesty, it is so much more than the blurb lets on.
Miryam Wexler, thought she had life all stitched up, a successful lawyer, she is hurtling towards the next chapter of her life, marriage to her fiancé David. But she is dealt a double whammy when she discovers that he is cheating on her and then he has the audacity to cancel the wedding. I think I would have neutered him at this point but Myriam obviously has more self-decorum that I do because for her he isn’t worth it, she has one priority and that is to keep the details of her torrid situation from her beloved grandma.
So, she hires Ben to pretend to be David and from that minute the madness that ensues was totally engaging.
Initially from the interaction between the two of them you would have been mistaken for thinking that the pair of them really were at opposite ends of the same rope and that there wasn’t a lot of middle ground.
I chuckled at the love hate relationship that was initially glaringly obvious between the two of them but couldn’t help but hope that they could find a way to make this arrangement work, because if they didn’t I have a funny feeling they may just end up throttling each other before they had the chance to see that they had more to fight for than against? There was a lot going on in the story and they took a lot of twists and turns to where they needed to be and I must admit that their antics brought a smile to my face.
A great read that was more than the blurb let on!

Have to say, at first I didn't think I was going to like this book but then something happened. The two lead characters met and I was captured, hook, line and sinker! There is something to be said about a book that has a touch of quirkiness to it, and I would say that this book fits the bill. It wasn't over-bearing, but just enough to make you smile and chuckle even. I mean, here you have a handsome, well built guy who owns his own business, loves and cares for his father and will do anything to get him the treatment he needs for the cancer he was just diagnosed with. Then you have his pet ferret who likes his best friend more than he does his owner. Top that off with a father who is rough and sassy and doesn't like change, doesn't believe that certain things cost as much as they do. He's such a trip!

And speaking of trip....wait until you meet Bubbie, Miryam's grandmother...now that woman is a hoot! But it is Ben and Miryam who are the real stars of this book and their meeting is rather unconventional. Ben has taken on a new "job" as what he believes to be just entertainment for women at private parties..until he finds out that his idea of entertainment and their idea of entertainment are not quite the same. Poor Ben is clueless. It isn't until he get's a call to be nothing more than an escort to a "party", that turns into him playing the part of Miryam's ex-fiance so she doesn't have to admit to her grandmother (because of her health), that she and David (the ex), broke up because he decided he wanted his assistant instead of her. Things between Ben and Miryam are rough starting out, but the more time they spend together the more she realizes that she really likes Ben, and Ben realizes that he doesn't want or need to do his second job anymore. Que the reality check when he finds out that he was actually hired to be a male prostitute!!! And his madame will not allow him to quit. Yep, things really start to get interesting as the relationship between Miryam and Ben builds and Ben fears being ratted on by his former madame and arrested. Good thing Miryam is a lawyer!

Oh this book will have you fanning yourself one minute and chuckling the next. It is a wonderful little light hearted read that will leave you smiling. I recommend this book to everyone looking for a little bit of fun.

Accidental Man Whore was a fun read. Ben was so adorably clueless. He is not good at picking up the clues and knowing what is going on. Oh, he was fun.

Ben works watering plants in an office building. He started this company not that long ago and makes enough to live, but is not making a ton of money. Some of his clients are a bit scary in how strong their personalities are, but he is a good guy and gets his work done.

Miryam is getting married. To the perfect guy. They both are attorneys, they both know what they want, it is going to be great. Maybe not a grand, passionate relationship, but perfect for what she wants.

When Ben's dad is diagnosed with cancer he will do almost anything to get the money to pay for his treatment. So he tries to get some more plant watering business, but his boss at the office building has another idea. Just go to some parties and keep the ladies happy. Easy peasy. And it pays a lot more than Ben could hope to make in an evening doing anything else. So of course he agrees. Oh, he was so adorable. He doesn't realize what is going on until he is in it. He was so much fun.

Miryam thought her fiance was perfect, only to find out that he doesn't actually want to marry her. Right before the wedding. So now she will have to tell her grandmother, the person closest to her whose health is not the best, that she is not getting married. Her grandmother will be devastated so what will she do? Hire someone to play her fiance of course. Only Ben is that someone and they have had a run in before. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Now I will say I really didn't like Miryam for most of the story. She was soooo judgemental and awful! I was yelling at her a lot in my head while reading her parts. She thinks she knows Ben when she doesn't know anything. And she treats him not so good because of what she thinks she knows of him and ah! I didn't like her. But I still enjoyed reading her. Which is odd.

Through all of this, through being a fake fiance and spending time together, these two grew closer. Oh I enjoyed this story. It was fun. Ben and Miryam and everything they go through. I so enjoyed reading thier story.

Accidental Manwhore was a good 4 star read.
We meet both Ben and Miryam and get a little of each of their backgrounds before these two connect.

Ben's father gets some shocking news about his health. It will cost a lot of money for the treatments, Ben and his brother agree to help get the money. Ben ends up falling into some really good money for his time, getting paid to hang out with hot women, why not?

Miryam is getting ready for her wedding. Just as she moves in with her fiance he asks her to move out because it was a mistake. He has been seeing someone else from the office. Now Miryam has to go to a family event and she doesn’t want to tell her blind grandmother what happened quite yet.

This is where her good friend comes in and sets her up with an escort, Ben. Ben and Miryam had met prior at a bar and it wasn’t a great encounter. So when they come face-to-face again it was a surprise. Ben hasn't been able to stop thinking about her since her saw her the first time.
Could it be fate?

I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. I loved Mr. T and Miryam's grandmother, Bubbie I had some LOL with her. Canes are for pimps, Miryam. Do I look like a pimp to you? -Bubbie There were several other secondary characters that added a great element as well. Ben I have to say is a super sweet man that just doesn’t get it sometimes. Miryam was a very smart woman who found love in an unexpected way. I was very happy with the ending. This was my first read from Katherine Stevens and I look forward to reading more from her.

I Love Katherine Stevens however "Accidental Man Whore" took a lot to get into. The answer lies in the Hero and Heroine; who's glaring flaws are irritating but integral to the storyline. The Heroine, Miryam is shallow, judgmental, and self-absorbed. On the other hand she's a good friend and fantastic granddaughter. She also gets dumped by her fiancé months before their wedding in a humiliating fashion. So, I try to cut her some slack. Ben is definitely NOT an Alpha Hero. As many characters say, even Ben himself … he's an idiot. A sexy, funny, lovable, and sweet idiot. To be fair his father's delusional, frustrating, and suffering from colon cancer; so he's got a lot on his plate. When you're desperate for money and it appears while you're too distracted for questions … I'll let it slide. A lot of Suspension of Disbelief is needed for "Accidental Man Whore".
When Ben and Miryam start working together and finally give into their attractions the story ROCKS. Miryam and Ben don't have sex when they're on the Stephanie organized dates. Which makes things a little cleaner. When Ben and Miryam are on they are adorable, sexy, and amusing. Unfortunately it takes a while for Katherine Stevens to get us there. Past the halfway point. Miryam really was difficult for me to enjoy. Ben's naïveté/idiocy is almost painful at times too. On the other hand the book had me laughing chuckling from the beginning. Now did I enjoy "Accidental Man Whore"? YES. Is the romance funny, sexy, and sweet? Yes. Am I happy I read it? Yes. Is "Accidental Man Whore" Katherine Stevens' BEST book? No. But Katherine Stevens can make me laugh like nobody's business. So, will I snatch up her next book like 95% off Jimmy Choos? Yes I will.

I'm not sure if it was the timing of when I read this book or what, but I had a tough time getting into Accidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens. This is the first book i've read from her and I will admit I struggled with it. It had a lot of promise, but in the end it just didn't work for me.

When his dad needs help with his medical bills, Ben Wright finds himself needing to make some extra cash quick. But when one thing leads to another, he finds himself becoming an escort by accident. So when Miryam's fiance leaves her for his coworker and she isn't ready to break the news to her family, she finds herself hiring Ben as her stand-in.

For me, part of the problem here was that I couldn't relate to the characters, and I didn't feel invested in their story. I just didn't feel connected to either Ben or Miryam and honestly I felt pretty indifferent to them.

Another problem I had here was that while I did find humor in a few moments, much of tis book felt over the top to me. I have a tough time with that style of humor and if it is too over the top, often times it feels like it's trying too hard. I think maybe this is just a personal thing as I have seen a lot of others loving the humor here. For me though this one just missed the mark.

I do think that a lot of readers will enjoy this book, especially if the other reviews I have seen are anything to go by. But for me, this one just didn't deliver what I was hoping for or expecting and sadly wasn't for me. I think it is worth giving the shot if it sounds like one you might like though, as it seems like a lot of readers are loving it and this very well could just be a personal thing.

The author is looking for an honest review

4 stars

I have to say that I loved the characters in this story. Ben is just wow. I only hope my kids will be this loyal when if I become sick. All he wanted to do is take care of his fathers bills because he had cancer. He never wanted to do what he was doing, but he did it for his dad. I thought to myself what a man will do for his father. I really liked how he and his dad interacted throughout the book. You could really tell that they were related with all the bickering they did. It was fun but also serious at times. How this story plays out is not only fun but serious at times and that is what I liked about the story. Ben was just this fun guy but cared. Caring about what will happen to his dad could not have been easy on him but he did what he did because of it. Miri, I felt for her throughout. She was dumped and then needed a date, and guess what that leads to Ben. They never thought it was going to be more, but hey a lot of weird things happen. With this book there was so much fun and with these two you never knew what was going to happen next. That is why they worked so well together.

I am not even going to go into a rundown for this book. It was my first time reading this author and I have to say, I had a blast reading it. Having a sick parent is always difficult, but the way that the author put it in this book and worked it through was very unique and I haven't read a story like this in a long time. I can't wait to read something else from this author because it was well worth my time.

Ben Wright is a laid back, carefree man in Miami starting his own business, until his father gets sick. With his savings invested in his new, only have one client, business and without any other means to pay for the required medical care, he accepts a proposition to make fast money without asking questions.
One of his newfound clients is Miryam Wexler, a woman who has been dumped by her fiancé right before her wedding, needs a stand in until she decides how to break the news to her grandmother.
This is my first read by this author and I couldn’t stop laughing at the antics of the characters. The book is a fast, funny read, the writing simple and not at all pretentious, delivering exactly what it promises. IMO, it’s the perfect mix of cute and sassy with a whole lot of funny.
Ben is naïve to an extreme that makes him all the more lovable and Miryam’s shrewd attorney persona is the perfect counterpart for our hero. Together with her Bubbie, Sheba, Mr. T and all the other secondary characters they make a perfect story for those who appreciate a quirky and fun romance.
I enjoyed their story from beginning to end, laughed to the point of tears through every punch and misconception and highly recommend this book if you like your romance on the lighter side. I will definitely be checking other books by this author.

Accidental Man Whore by Katherine Stevens is my first book read by this author but not necessarily my last. I was taken by the cover and storyline when I originally saw this book and thought ‘What the heck?’ This looks like a laid back read with very little drama and I wasn’t disappointed, especially with the perfect mix of humor and steam. Ms. Stevens has taken two characters who are each going through a bad situation and made them work fabulously together.

Ben has already lost one parent to the dreaded ‘C’ word and will not lose another. He will absolutely do anything to make sure his Dad gets the best health care. While in one of the offices he always visits, taking care of the plants, he is propositioned to become an escort. The only problem is his idea and his now ‘pimp’ had different ideas. At the beginning, Ben is somewhat okay with it….I mean a guy earning that kind of money and the women aren’t ALL that bad, but then he meets Miryam.

Miryam has fallen into the cheating fiancé problem. She doesn’t want her grandmother, who isn’t in the best of health, to know so all these family events mean she needs a stand-in. Her friend finds her Ben and even though their first few meetings don’t go all that great, they eventually find that connection. Ben is especially going to need Miryam, since she is an attorney, when the sh*t hits the fan with the escorting business.

Have you ever agreed to a job, not really knowing what you will be doing, then realize you're a hooker? No? Well, our lovely Ben here, isn't the brightest bulb that is exactly what happened to him. Poor Miryam needs a stand-in groom, so you can guess who her best friend calls in to help. The two don't get off to the best of starts, but gradually they are able to tolerate one another. Both misjudge the other and jump to conclusions before knowing all the facts. Ben's character, although he is a little aloof at times, is a pretty sweet guy. Miryam is a smart women, a lawyer in fact, but was burned by love and doesn't really see what's right in front of her. While Ben doesn't push her for more, she continues to push him away. There are a lot of laughs along the way. Ben's relationship with his pet is hilarious. :D There are a couple of feisty old geezers who bring some comedy relief as well. PLenty of fun and crazy characters to help entertain you. Despite what you may think with a title like this one, there is not a lot of sexual content. There is some, it's not a clean read, but there is a wee little bit. There is more talk than action. Ben and Miryam's characters aren't too complex or complicated, but some of the events in their lives have caused them to have various hurdles to overcome, and play a part in their story. It reads fairly quickly and smoothly. Overall it's a fun, light and enjoyable book.

This is the first book I’ve read by Ms Stevens and I must say I found it very enjoyable. Yeah I admit it was the name that got my attention. This book follows the story of Benjamin Wright, he works in his own business where he supplies plants to offices. So I guess you could say he’s the plant man. His dad becomes ill and he needs money quickly to help pay for his medical bills. That’s how he becomes and Escort, well he isn’t really an Escort, but then again maybe he is??? All he wanted to do was make some extra money to help his dad out, although his dad thinks he’s selling drugs and would like some to help him with his pain. Ben insists to his dad that he’s not selling drugs.

We meet Miryam Wexler, she’s a lawyer and happily engaged to her fiancé David and busy planning her wedding, that is until she catches him cheating and get’s dumped just before her wedding. She’s had a tough life and was bought up by her grandmother, or Bubbie as she calls her. Miryam doesn’t want to upset her Bubbie so she hires Ben to pretend to be David the fiancé. Luckily Bubbie is blind and can’t see.

He needs money…. She needs a fake fiancé…… and they seem to hate each other…….. Twists and turns and lots of fun times was had in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more books by Katherine Stevens.

Katherine Stevens is a new author to me and let me say this. I’m kicking myself for not having found her and read her books before this.
Accidental Man Whore is just a taste of her crazy mand. It grabbed me by my throat with its cover and the blurb was intriguing enough to get me to take a look, and boy was I glad. This story is laugh out loud, hysterically funny- in places. In others there are some serious and sad moments, like with Ben when he finds out his dad in under the hammer of the dreadful ‘C’ word and having lost his mom to this awful disease, he doesn’t want to go down that road with his dad and will do anything to make this possible… no the cost.
Ben’s not loaded so he needs money and a lot of it. When a client offers him a way to get this cash fast, he is soon involved in the escort business and that’s where he meets Miryam. She’s got a cheating ex and needs to hide this from her frail grandmother. She employes Ben’s to be her ‘man’ for all her family events. Things get off to a rocky start but there’s still that ‘connection’ which pulls them together and finally they allow their true feelings to have free rein.
If you want a sweet, funny read to kick the autumnal blues then this is the book for you.

This is a great RomCom! The Author has written a funny, flirty, sexy storyline that will have you smiling at the crazy antics going on throughout the book. The characters are very down to earth with real life problems that will only endear them to you more.

Ben is a guy trying to make ends meet with his new plant care business when he learns his father has cancer. With their father having no health insurance, Ben and his younger brother know they need to raise the money somehow. When a “High Paying” job falls into Ben’s lap, he jumps at the chance to get the money for his dad’s surgery and he is so grateful he fails to ask questions. Let the hilarity begin!

Miryam is an attorney who is about to marry the man of her dreams. Well up until he screw up that is. Now she is faced with letting her blind Grandmother down easily that She won’t be marrying David after all. But until she has a chance to tell her she needs a fake David to accompany her to a family event. Yep, Ben to the rescue and more hilarity ensues.

2 Thumbs Up for a great storyline that will keep you entertained and your spirits high! It’s a fun RomCom that I recommend highly.
