    The story picks up 5 years after Dark Protector. Nate has picked up the pieces of Vincent's underground kingdom and has become a ruthless but fair boss. He never sought out his position but Nate takes his responsibilities seriously and that includes protecting his people, going legit and making sure no one tries to muscle in on his territory.

    Things start to get tense between his crew and the Russians and before Nate knows it, they're in an all-out war. In the middle of all this, 18 year old Sabrina, fresh out of high school, is moving in and causing her on brand of chaos for Nate. Gone is the scared little girl he promised to keep safe and in her place is a woman who calls to Nate on a level he's never experienced before.

    When Sabrina's dark past comes back to wreck her, Nate finally admits no one else is equipped to keep Sabrina safe. Not when he would lay his life down for her. Things quickly escalate and soon Nate and Sabrina are fighting a psychopath who threatens to rob them of their chance at true love.

    What I loved about it:
    Nate is a hard core boss now, calling all the shots, doing the dirty work when he needs too and taking the good and the ugly as his due. But C.A. kept him deliciously wicked naughty. I loved seeing his playful sexy side with Sabrina.

    I also really loved the role reverse here. Generally I like my guys to do the chasing but Sabrina’s determination to go after what, or rather who she wants was very empowering. Rather than have Nate pursue Sabrina, we have him trying to protect her and Sabrina as the main aggressor. For being so young, Sabrina was a strong h, she knew what she felt in her heart, she knew who she wanted in her life and she didn't let anyone (let alone poor well-meaning Nate) stand in her way.

    This had great emotional growth, for both characters, but the inside look at the workings of Nate was note worthy. It was steamy as hell (the chemistry is off the charts here!) and had some really sweet moments too. Nate introduced some exciting secondary characters I hope we'll see again soon and a surprise cameo of Con!
    If you liked Dark Protector, Nate will be right up your alley. It still delivers in the action and suspense department and the villain here is darker and twistier than expected. I highly recommend this series? (Please let it be a series!) So far both books have blown me away! The possibility of getting more in depth stories of the rest of Nate's inner circle has me super excited! I'm talking about the Raven brothers and Angus here!

    Just an FYI:
    This isn't so much a complaint, more like a warning. This has some scenarios that might be triggers for some readers. Spoilers below.

    ...She’s all in here.” I pointed to a random spot on my chest. Just happened to be my heart. Coincidence.

    We spoke to each other on a level no one else could understand. Our souls had met five years ago and whispered about each other ever since.

    ...they judged me to be a prude. But they were wrong. My issue was simple: I didn't want a boy. I wanted a man. One man in particular.

    When Nate lets down his guard and we get to see the Nate of old... loved his sarcastic humor!

    Nate by Celia Aaron was such a great surprise! I had never read this author before, but was so intrigued by the blurb. I loved the story, the characters and the touch of the forbidden. I could not put this book down.

    Nate Franco was flawed, strong, and very possessive. When needed he could be very ruthless. He is a very dangerous and scary man, but when it comes to the woman he cares about, nothing will stop him from protecting her.

    Sabrina was such a strong heroine. She was smart, sassy, determined and loyal. When Nate entered her life, she felt safe. Even when she was away, she thought of him. Now she is back and determined to have him see her, really see her.

    Nate is now the Mafia boss of the Philly syndicate. He is surrounded by danger every which way. It’s his life and he worked very hard to be here. But five years ago Nate saved Sabrina and took her as his ward. He sent her to a boarding school to get her as far away from this life as possible. Now she is back and nothing like he remembered. His life is about to change.

    This story had it all, romance, action, betrayal, and revenge. Sabrina and Nate had a very strong and powerful chemistry. I loved their push and pull and back and forth banter. I was so consumed with Nate. The story was so well written and I loved the characters. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

    I absolutely LOVED NATE!!! The book and the man ;)

    He is sexy and oh so alpha. Everything about him grabs your attention and keeps it until you read "The End".

    The story starts as an introduction into the world of a big bad mafia boss, Nate Franco. Immediately you learn that he is not to be messed with and what he says goes, because that's how it works and what boss isn't right? Everything in his life was going as planned, that is until he ran into an unexpected house guest. The last time he saw this girl, she was thirteen and he was rescuing her from her life. Now she's all grown up and he has no frickin idea what to do about it.

    Sabrina has been in love with Nate since she was thirteen years young, and now that she's eighteen she's going to act on those feelings. There's only one problem, Nate is not having it! She of course pushes his buttons, because duh, who wouldn't? She refuses to let this go because she knows what she wants, and nothing or nobody will get in the way. Not even Nate himself. He's chucking it up to a teenage infatuation, but Sabrina knows better and so does Nate.

    So, before I get into it, I don't know if you've seen the whole showdown about men in books being with barely legal girls. It was all over social media, Facebook and Twitter mainly, and personally I'm not sure what the big deal is? Eighteen is legally an adult no? I mean, am I missing something? And in these books, it's not like the girls are being taken advantage of, they are willing participants and capable of making their own decisions. The big deal was made by lonely cat ladies who probably never get laid, but that's just my opinion and me being a bish.

    Anyway, I said that to say this, even with all that hoopla I love that Celia Aaron gave social media a big middle finger and put out this amazing story.

    Nate and Sabrina shared a history together and to finally see their love develop and blossom was beautiful. I loved seeing Nate's debate with himself about pursuing a relationship with Sabrina. I'm happy he gave in though because fighting it wouldn't have panned out all that well for him. Their story was not only beautiful, but also very sexy. And lets not get started on the sex. My gosh, I was trying to read and not sweat all over my kindle from being so hot and bothered. Fanning myself wasn't working after while, so I just sat under the AC vent.

    I also really loved the stories excitement. The action that came about left my heart beating and my pulse racing, I couldn't get enough. The person who turned out to be the rat was definitely someone I didn't see coming. I for sure thought it was one of his closest, but I see I was wrong. I'm happy I was wrong too, because I'm not sure how I would've handled that betrayal.

    Overall, NATE was an amazing read. If you are looking for a story to keep and hold your attention from beginning to end, this is definitely your story. I'm not even surprised by this book being awesome, Celia has never let me down.

    This was book 2 in the series. In book 1, Nate was a smart mouthed laid back prankster. He was a completely different character in his story. I get that 5 years had passed but he was nothing like the witty, funny side kick he was when he was introduced. This would have been better as an unrelated stand alone, as if you read book 1, this book was a let down for the character inconsistency.

    Great story, really enjoyed the s*xual tension between Nate & Sabrina, although the large age gap was a bit of a turn off. Would’ve preferred if Sabrina was in her early or mid twenties, as Nate was in his early thirties.

    Really loved the s*xual tension between Nate & Sabrina; when Nate wakes up h*mping the bed to thoughts of Sabrina, I thought was hilarious & hot at the same time.

    Another scene where Sabrina was being taught self defence by David & Nate steps in, then they end up on the lawn - hot.

    When Nate & Sabrina are in the pool & he wants to do things right - also hot.

    This was a great story, although I would’ve liked more s*xy dialogue between Nate & Sabrina during s*x & less mafia, who doesn’t love a lot of spice in a story.

    So Nate is not the typical mobster . Sabrina is not a typical young woman . Together they had very different ideas of what their life would be . She only saw a futur with him and he only saw a futur pushing her away . Turns out she is smarter than he is after all .
